Camp Raven is very entertaining. We'll have fun if it stops raining (Skirmish)

Location: Prison Cell in Camp Raven
Objective: Prevent the rescue of Juwiela Melec

"Of course I'm not going to shoot you," sneered Tmoxin her rifle still firmly trained on the Miraluka's head. "You are far too precious to the Rebel Alliance. Can you hear them coming for you?" As if in response the bang of a grenade could be heard faintly in the background through the thick prison walls.

While Tmoxin didn't have time to catch how many Rebels were infiltrating before she jumped inside the cell with the prisoner, it sounded like a veritable army out there. She slowly walked around to the other side of the Miraluka, the blaster still pointed at her. The calmness of the other female unnerved her a little and with the back of her wrist she wiped a bead of sweat off of her brow.

"Why do you think your friends are all risking their lives for you?" Tmoxin asked. "What makes you so indispensable?"

Silence hung in the air for a long moment, in which Juwiela weighed her options and how to best gain the woman's trust so that her escape from the prison would go much more smoothly. There was information she couldn't disclose, of course, such as that of her exact position in the Alliance. Enough of that had been done weeks earlier, with Cryax. It still served as a sort of wry amusement, however, that this woman was so surprised that the Rebels would go to such lengths to rescue one of their own. That spoke volumes about the Ravens' own lack of camaraderie, but given that they were a criminal syndicate, it didn't come as much of a shock.

Instead of answering just yet she slowly stood, taking her time and stretching momentarily, all but disregarding the presence of a live weapon still pointed directly at her, with all capabilities of firing at any second. Her own death was of little consequence at this point. "Does it really surprise you? Unlike you Ravens, we care about one of our own. It has little to do with my position within the Alliance. That's one thing you don't seem to understand: we're willing to fight and die for one another no matter the consequences."

Having finished in her brief bout of exercise she once more turned to face her. "I would assume Cryax has already told you all there is to know about me. Or do you really have such a severe lack of communication?" For a time she simply listened, her hearing sufficing where any type of sight failed her. It was evident the Rebels had entered the prison, now the only question was where they were in relation to her location, and if they knew exactly where it was they were going. "I would say I'm disappointed, but that would be a stretch."

As the backup generator hummed to life, alarms cried out throughout the prison. It was an obvious prison break if he ever saw one. "WE NEED REINFORCEMENTS NOW!" he shouted at his assistant Frab, who scurried off to send out a large team of Red Raven henchmen into the prison to snuff out the intruders. Meanwhile, the Chiss crime boss, wearing his Sinner Men's Blaster Suit grabbed his slugthrower from a nearby arms cache and slung it over his shoulder.

The door opened with a hiss and the henchmen, armed with blasters and slugthrowers marched out into the hallway, their orders to kill anyone on sight who was not a Red Raven.

With his slugthrower slung around his shoulder, Cryax jumped to the central computer and began his attempts to get the main comms working again. As a slicer by trade, he had a few tricks up his sleeve that would get the networks up and running despite their being hit by what seemed like a disrupter torpedo. Once he got the coms back online, the Mirari bodyguard droids who usually circled him would be next.

No wonder Cryax wanted to execute this one. She sure had a feisty mouth on her!

But while the Tmoxin had a temper, she wasn't as easily angered as their Chiss leader. "Contrary to what you think, you are not the center of the universe around here. Cryax Bane didn't tell me anything about you, nor do I care what transpired before my time. Forgive me for being curious as to makes you so special to your colleagues. Especially when you have so many obvious weaknesses."

That wasn't the entire truth, Tmoxin thought. Cryax not telling her anything about the Miraluka was more of a by-product of the Hapan woman avoiding Mr. Bane after the scathing Wookiee Leaks report was published about herself and her brother Armand Temi. At first she thought no way, no how would she mention her brother to the prisoner but Tmoxin was extremely nagged by the thought that this woman may know her brother or at the least have information on his whereabouts. She swallowed and continued, her voice a bit shakier and softer: "Do you happen to know a Dr. Armand Temi?"

Just then a droid's arm reached through the prison wall with an ill-timed MRE for the Miraluka and Tmoxin was so trigger-happy, she automatically fired at the droid arm. The MRE and the robotic arm were immediately destroyed but the Miraluka was unscathed.

Apoc

The Nameless Soldier
Location: Outside the fence
Objective: Enter the compound and rescue Rogue Leader
Allies: [member="Verd Skirata"] [member="Juwiela Melec"] [member="Corruck Kazen"] [member="Solan Charr"]
Enemies: [member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Tmoxin Temi"] [member="Patricia Susan Garter"]

With the fence still disrupting his path, Apoc scanned the bases perimeter for a way in. Eventually, he found exactly what he was looking. A hole in the fence. It was big enough for someone like Apoc to safely get through, it must've been made by on of the other Rebel groups who were also accompanying him on the rescue mission. Unlike them however, nobody knew who lurked in the darkness surrounding the base. Though he was only one soldier, he was sure to be successful.

Narrowly fitting through the hole, the masked soldier did what he could to sneak to the main building. However, with the search lights and large amount of droids, this task was almost impossible.

No warning was given to Apoc as a droid jumped into his pathway, blocking him from continuing. As it prepared to fire, his gloved hands squeezed the trigger and a rain of Slugthrower projectiles rained upon the droid. Each shot tore the metal exoskeleton off of its supporting structure, until all that was left were small shards of thing durasteel. He would now have to continue his journey to the main building before an execution was to take place.

As he arrived at the arrived at the reinforced concrete wall super structure, he decided that the front door awasnt the best option. From the sounds coming from within, a full blown battle was already commencing inside. It would be safer to find an alternative entrance.
Bingo
By his knees was a rather large ventalation shaft. It would be a tight fit, but even with Apoc's board shoulders and large body, he should be manage to squueze through. As expected the crawl was body aching and the heavily equipped man longed for the end of this torture. Finally, his pain was to end. The shaft seemed to end in some sort of storage room ( the storage room, as seen on the map) but in his urgency to try and get out from the enclosed space, Apoc failed to see the camera that was located in the corner of the room.

Eventually he realised his mistake and ripped the security camera from the wall, hoping nobody had seen him.

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
It seemed like Verd was leading the small squad now, dual wielding his silent, but lethal verpine pistols, he watched for another guard that was scheduled to come around a corner any second now. As soon as he rounded the corner, Verd dropped him with 3 shots to the torso, neck and head. He knew there were 2 guards outside the door to the Comm center, which connected to the room they were currently in, the team had to neutralize them before they tried to take out the other 2 guards located inside the room leading to the prison cell. He motioned to [member="Corruck Kazen"] , signaling his plan, and looking to find his approval. If they took out those 2 guards, they had a much better chance of taking out the next two, who would already have much better cover then they would. Thinking of what to do after eliminating the 2 guards, he thought it better not to think so far ahead, planning too far ahead would only lead to plans being ruined or changed drastically. Better to remain elastic when it came to stuff like this.

As Verd fired a shot at the ill-prepared guard, Corruck aimed his rifle at a holocam nearby. A blaster bolt later and the area was fairly secure. He motioned for the men to get into a defensive position. While they followed his orders, he turned on the datapad that had basic schematics of the building. It was difficult to tell what parts were what, no labeling and bad resolution was painful to deal with. He could guess that the door nearest him would lead to medical bay, strategically it made sense. Have the facility for medical care as close to the area that people enter as possible, in case of emergencies.

He believed that the area to the right of the turbolift, if one was looking towards north within the complex, was the prison area. It had two doors making it an ideal holding area. He nodded to Verd, his own plan was to enter the command area, take out the two guards and then enter Juwiela's cell. He pulled a flashbang from his belt and walked over to the doorway. He used his right arm to force it open slightly, as it was mechanical it allowed him to accomplish the feat with only a little difficulty. He armed the flashbang and dropped it through. He waited until the flashbang was supposed to go off, then ran into the room. He fired shots from shoulder height with his pistol and rifle aiming at where the guards were supposed to be. He then made a sweeping pattern to hit hopefully anything else that was in there. He was confident that Verd would have dealt with the two other guards near the comm center.

Verd headed to the corner, taking one man and telling him to run into the storage room. Waiting until the man ran for the room to draw the two guards out, as the guards rouned the corner he drew his beskaad and chopped the first ones head off. Charging the other, he took a bolt to the breastplate and another to the helmet before using his beskaad to smash the guard's helmet, knocking the man unconscious. Calling out to a man with a plasma torh, he told the man, "Seal this door with that torch. Nothing gets out of this room until well after we leave." Looking at the man to see if he would do as requested, he saw the man hesitate. "Now sargent!" He said as loud as he dared.

The sound of weapon fire seemingly just outside of her cell gave Juwiela pause, the part of her mind that wasn't focused on formulating strategy briefly considering the question posed to her. The surname was vaguely familiar, though she wasn't entirely sure if that was due to her overhearing it during this or that idle conversation she'd picked up on in her cell. Her priority when it came to the Alliance was the pilots that made up Rogue Squadron, so it was entirely possible she'd just overlooked his joining of the organization. But whomever the man was, it was evident he was of some importance to this woman. Strange that she'd asked the question seemingly out of the blue.

Her head turned slightly to better hear her, and she slowly spoke. "I wasn't aware that we had any medical personnel within the Alliance. If I have met him, it's only been in passing. I spend most of my time in the hangar. The rest of it's left to the others." That was the entire truth, and likely the only time she would ever be completely honest for the duration of her stay, which was hopefully drawing to a close. Perhaps a degree of respect would cause the woman to loosen up if just a bit, given how obviously jumpy she was at the moment. Apparently the Ravens had a good reason to be paranoid, or they weren't quite willing to part with her just yet.

"What you call weaknesses I call advantages. With this collar off I can see better than you can imagine. But I'm not here to discuss semantics, nor are you." With that she fell silent, unconsciously clenching and unclenching her right hand, still bandaged where her pinky and ring fingers were missing. Any second.

Solan smiled as his forces got to the fence, his hands tightening around the saber as he was on lookout while they set up the foam and started to cut through the fence. Nothing came though as everyone was too busy with the first group which allowed for them to get through the fence and move onto part two of the plan and his eyes looked at the men as he started to make hand signals to proceed with the plan. The demo experts and their escorts headed for the two corner guard towers closest to him as Solan smiled and moved with the rest of the troops all still cloaked towards the comm tower's receiver. He would make sure that the Ravens had no chance of getting this back.

And so he waited for a minute, his men hidden in the shadows until finally his demo experts returned to the group and solan took out a detonator as he smiled and let his thumb press down on the activator. In a few moments several blasts shot out and the towers shook before starting to crumble down as solan smiled and looked at the comm tower and motioned with his head as the troops, four of them, removed rocket launchers and aimed, waiting for his order.

Tmoxin's gaze shot in the direction of the close arms fire outside the prison cell. It was muffled due to the thick walls that were in place around them but still, it sounded close. Her heart beat faster in her chest. It didn't seem as if the Ravens security was doing its job at all today and as she paced the cell she made a mental note to re-evaluate the tactical planning around operations which required security detail. They had been woefully and critically unprepared for this type of offensive.

And then Cryax and Patricia were no where to be found. She wouldn't be surprised if they had already shuttled out of the prison from the roof on some type of low altitude assault transport. But the she tried not to take it to heart. As a Secret Commando, for years back on Hapes she put her life on the line on a daily basis to protect one person. She was used to the theory of sacrifice to protect your organization. But it didn't help with her wayward emotions which were running a little wild right now.

She trained her focus back on the Miraluka. So the woman didn't appear to know her brother. Tmoxin wasn't sure if it was the truth or a lie but it sounded believable. The fact that she spent most of her time in "the hangar" helped put the puzzle pieces together for Juwiela's captor. She must have been a skilled pilot for the Rebels to come after her with such gusto. Either that or a savant-like mechanical engineer.

"I think we're going to have company very soon. Sorry I don't have anything to offer them in the way of refreshments," she said motioning to the destroyed prison rations she had blasted away moments earlier.

Tmoxin calmed her nerves and thought, I'll need to put my negotiating skills to the test if I'm going to get out of here alive.

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
Verd, still going by the alias Prudii, made his way to the chamber which, according to the schematics He had studied, lead to the prison cell. [member="Corruck Kazen"] had already disposed of the pair of guards that were to be stationed to guard the door. He looked at Corruck and said, "something feels off about this, and I don't know what it is." He paused trying to put his finger on what was bothering him. Recently he had been told by Armand Temi that he was force sensitive, maybe this was some of that jedi mystical religion stuff. The feeling seemed to get stronger as he reached the door. "I think there is something wrong with the door, or something. I am just getting a really bad vibe about this. Keep your guard up, whatever you do."

Tmoxin froze as she heard the infiltrators just outside the door. Her adrenaline spiked and she had the urge to flee suddenly but there was no where to go.

She needed to let whoever was out there know that the Miraluka wasn't alone. At the top of her lungs she shouted: "Whoever is out there, just know that I have a rifle pointed at the prisoner's head! Any sudden moves will result in her immediate death! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?"

She slowly crept nearer to [member="Juwiela Melec"], needing to close the physical gap between them in case the Rebels tried to storm into the cell.

Verd Skirata

Fancy flyin' and good fightin' make for a good day
That must have been what I felt, Verd thought. Well we just have to talk our way out of this one. It shouldn't be too difficult with a faction of crime lords and criminals, there can't be that much loyalty between everyone. "Hold on, Don't shoot the prisoner, because she is your best chance of getting out of this mess." Verd said confidently. They could very easily try to go in and take out the guard behind the hostage, but they would have the risk of getting [member="Juwiela Melec"] killed. "Let's talk about this calmly, maybe we can work something out." Logic was their only hope at this point in time, and there were many risks involved with how they could go about this. "Can we send an unarmed negotiator into the cell to talk about this?" He spoke up, just trying to put a plan together. Tmoxin listened to the reply. Good. Someone out there could hear her. She wasn't sure how many of them were in the area outside of the prison cell as the door was still firmly locked and she couldn't risk poking her head out.

"You," she said to the Miraluka. "Up on your feet. You are to very slowly move to the doorway." Then she added since the woman wouldn't be able to see: "Walk straight and a bit to your right."

She shouted again to the Rebels: "I will release the prisoner if you contact Armand Temi for me. Dr. Temi is my brother and I need to speak with him."

She mentioned her brother for two reasons. So she would have a bargaining chip and also for her own safety. If her brother was truly close with this organization, they would be less likely to kill her since she was a blood relative of one of their own.

"If you can assure contact with my brother can be made on my behalf, the Miraluka will not be killed."

All of this would have been made much simpler, in her mind, if they would have just removed the Force suppression collar from about her neck in the first place, thereby allowing her to see. It was practicality speaking just as much as her general distaste for having to rely on others to simply navigate the world, when she was typically capable of all that and more with her 'eyes' to guide her. It seemed to be typical among the Ravens, doing things the hard way. It was obvious, at least to her, that this woman was outnumbered at least three to one, if not more. Sure, it was understandable that they didn't want to release their prisoner so easily, but for the sake of self-preservation, if nothing else, Juwiela had expected things to move along much more simply. And eventually they did.

Moving as she was ordered, pausing a meter from the door, she turned her head slightly to regard the woman. "I would appreciate it if you removed this," One hand indicated to the collar around her neck, "Before this is all said and done. You have my word that I won't react violently." Her word likely wasn't worth much, but it was an attempt at creating some kind of trust. And she was telling the truth, for the most part. As long as none reacted aggressively during the next phase, she wouldn't have cause to utilize her Force sensitivity for anything else but sight. It all fell to the Ravens to uphold the other half of that bargain.

"I can personally arrange you contact with your brother, if it eases your conscience any. It shouldn't be difficult."

At the request to remove the force collar, Tmoxin said, "I can't do that and then you turn around and use your Jedi voodoo on me. That won't happen I'm afraid." The Hapan officer shuddered at the thought. The Ni'Korish tenants she had been raised with on Hapes wouldn't let her trust a Force user, no way.

But at the mention of her brother, Tmoxin softened. "Yes, I haven't heard from my brother for a few months. I'm quite worried about him." The last part was a blatant lie but the Jedi didn't need to know that. "I would appreciate it if contact was made."

With her rifle still trained on the prisoner, she shouted again towards the audience in the hallway: "Are you okay with those terms? If so, I'll activate the door code and the prisoner will be coming out!"

The Hapan officer slunk past Juwiela to be in a better position to activate the door code. "Oh and by the way," she yelled. "Once the Jedi comes out you all have one minute to evacuate the prison as there are two dozen gas bombs programmed to go off at the opening of the cell door!"

Verd Skirata

"I know Armand Personally." Verd said, then contacted Armand himself through an encrypted Comlink via his helmet and a comm relay on his Ship. After Contact had been made, he cut the transmission and replied to [member="Tmoxin Temi"]. "He would also like to meet with you, Tmoxin," He had used her name as an indicator that he had actually spoken to Armand. "He said he will meet you on Hapes, If you would like to know more, You will have to release the prisoner." He looked over to a rebel slicer, who indicated that the cell door had been rewired to open on his mark. "We are opening the cell door now, I am having all of my men back away from the door, and I will be unarmed." He handed his pistols to the nearest trooper, and knowing that in his armor, he would be the best protected of the group against most attacks, and motioned for all except himself to step back to the main room of the prison, reassured by the fact that they would just be a few meters away in case of an attack on him. He paused after hearing the warning. "Yes, we agree to these terms, however the door has already been rewired for opening. I am unarmed, and will open the cell on your mark, as we are evacuating, I will leave a commlink for you to contact me directly, After that, we can discuss the rest of the terms of the meeting. Objective: Some fireworks.

"Dumdedum, dumdedum, and fire." With that the sound of rockets sounded right behind him as his men suddenly shed their personal stealth generators and fired at anyone unwise while the first salvo of two rocks slammed into the relay. Solan waited for them to reload before looking around, his men setting up a perimeter with the turrets already down so there was no need to worry there. "Fire." Again the rockets sounded and slammed into the relay as he yawned. "This is going to take to long, give me one of those bombs..." Taking a threes set charge from one of the demo experts he pushed off the ground high enough to toss the three satchels at the base of the relay before landing with the detonator. "Everyone against the prison, its going to be coming down in three..." He started walking as his men moved to stand against the best cover they had for when this thing came down. "Two..." He smiled and ran a hand behind him to grab his scythe. "Boom." With that he squeezed the detonator and watched and listened as the comms relay had its base blew out and started to fall to the ground, his hand giving the detonator back to its owner. "How about we help out the other team..."

Well it was pretty obvious now that a Mandalorian was entering the room that her "gas bombs going off in one minute" was a bluff. Her heart pounded in her chest as she still aimed steadily at the Jedi woman. Still, the Rebel negotiator had called her by name and there was no way he would have known that without indeed talking to her brother. He was also visibly unarmed which she also noted.

She said nothing but nodded at the Mando to lead Juwiela out of the cell. Tmoxin was close to tears but tried not to let the emotions show either on her face or in how she held her rifle. Even though her face was red and her eyes welling up, her body was steady from years of Secret Commando training on Hapes. But inside she felt that Cryax and Patricia had abandoned her, left her here to deal with the disintegrating situation. And if she was lucky enough to crawl out of Camp Raven, she would be having a heated word with both of them.
