Camp Raven is very entertaining. We'll have fun if it stops raining (Skirmish)

Location: Syvris
Objective: Prevent the rescue of [member="Juwiela Melec"]
Allies: [member="Cryax Bane"] [member="Patricia Susan Garter"]
Enemies: [member="Corruck Kazen"] [member="Apoc"] [member="Tugoro Taidarious"] [member="Verd Skirata"]

It's true that Syvris is a lawless planet. But at one point it did have laws. At one point in the history of the galaxy, Syvris had a government, a military, a police force, a court system and of course a prison.

But since Syvris's current economy was currently spice and smuggling, that prison was no longer in use. And of course the Red Ravens had swooped in and taken over the lease, which meant threatening the lease-holder with his life until he let them use the prison. The Ravens fortified the prison with state-of-the art surveillance, holocams, comsystems, and a mix of droid and mercenary guards. It was unofficially called Camp Raven.

Camp Raven Description:
Around the perimeter of the prison is a high fence, wired to acutely shock anyone who touched it. The fence is topped with barbed wire also cabled to cause a strong electric jolt to those brushing against it. On each corner quadrant of the prison there are guard towers with droid turrets which are programmed to shoot anything in the prison yard which moved. It wasn't as if there were active prisoners playing basketball out there or anything.

Once inside the prison, the layout was as followed:
Vo1sOrJ.jpg

The medical bay had only minor supplies for superficial wounds but no life-saving equipment. The common area had a small place to prepare ready to eat meals.

The storage area in the prison had additional stun guns and cuffs for subduing prisoners and also backup rations in case of a siege situation at the prison.

Juwiela Melec's prison cell itself was not terribly small nor uncomfortable. But it was bare and minimal with only a bed and a basic refresher. A droid brought her MREs and water three times a day to keep her nourished.

Along with the guards, three Ravens were in the prison today inspecting the Comm Center and making plans to turn Camp Raven into a massive high-security prison which may be able to hold more than just Juwiela eventually.

It's too quiet. It wasn't as if the prison necessarily bustled with activity any other day, but there was something about the very air that was atypical. The environment of the prison had a tense atmosphere, though that could have been just as much due to her own keenness to escape as her knowledge of three Ravens visiting the facility. Juwiela may not have been exactly privy to such information, but one learned, after a time spent in captivity, to learn by listening. Her wardens were comprised of both mercenaries and droids alike, the former of which didn't always keep their mouths shut in regards to the most recent announcement, whether told in falsity or with a fragment of truth. News spread like wildfire in any enclosed space, regardless of what was true.

It was on those details she currently meditated, sitting cross-legged in the middle of her cell. The situation wasn't a largely unfamiliar one, as she'd been moved from lockup to lockup with only a few days' span between each stay. It was obvious to anyone that the Ravens were paranoid about the location of their prisoner being discovered by the Rebel Alliance, and with good reason. If her whereabouts were revealed, it wouldn't be long before fire rained down and red feathers flew. It was true in saying that the Alliance wasn't much more than a small syndicate of freedom fighters, but their numbers were growing rapidly. There was one thing they likely had on their adversaries, and it was loyalty among comrades. That was one thing they would be sure the Red Ravens wouldn't soon forget.

Chances were high that security would be tightened with a number of the Ravens making a personal appearance to the prison, which brought to mind the holo that Cryax had promised to send in exchange for information on the exact location of the Rebel base. To the best of her knowledge she hadn't heard of it being transmitted to any of the required parties, but on the off chance that it was, rescue would be swift and certain. That was a possibility she hadn't allowed to develop much beyond a dim hope due to the unlikeliness of it all. But it was a hope she entertained, sitting blind in her cell, unrestrained save for the Force suppression collar still about her neck, rendering her sightless. Something was going to happen, and sooner rather than later.

Her ration having already been delivered, all there was left to do was contemplate the various possibilities and outcomes of the day. Waiting was something she'd become all too familiar with, but if things went her way, this would be the last time she was completely at the mercy of another. Retaliation was coming, and it would be of the kind her Chiss warden had been speaking of previously, then later on a much larger scale.

What's taking so long?

Tmoxin checked on the prisoner via the holocam in her cell. Juwiela sat in a lotus-flower position on the bare, cold floor. She wore a Force suppression collar which suited Tmoxin just fine as she abhorred Jedi's. Her beliefs were firmly routed in the Ni'Korish and from a young age, she had been brainwashed into thinking Jedi powers were something to fear and revile.

"Good to see you again, Patricia." The Hapan Sergeant at Arms knew that the small but fierce woman was one of Cryax Bane's closest confidants. She also knew that Patricia had had a baby recently and here she was already back on the job in a refurbished prison with a semi-working heating system. That was dedication to say the least.

"Cryax, what are you plans for this one?" she said, thumbing at the holocam showing Juwiela at least outwardly calm in her cell. As much as Tmoxin hated Jedis she had also grown up on Hapes, a relatively peaceful planet where prisoners were treated humanely. Tmoxin was having a crisis of conscience lately since she had been branded by Wookiee Leaks as a "slimy crime lady." That wasn't what she wanted to be known for. Furthermore she hoped her employer wouldn't bring up that awful holosite.

Tmoxin didn't necessarily comlink into the Miraluka's cell to see if she would prefer a featherbed and holomovie unit to a small mattress and bare cell, but she kept an eye on the woman just the same.

If he were honest, Cryax wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to do with rebel prisoner, Juwiela Melec. Given the fact that the Red Ravens had gotten a wealth of information from the prisoner that Dredge had captured, the pilot had worn out her usefulness to them. At this point, shuffling the rebel pilot from prison to prison was beginning to seem like a drain of valuable resources. The Chiss should have ordered her execution by now, but something had stopped him. Perhaps the shred of decency he had left? He wasn't exactly sure.

Although conflicted, he saw no other choice but to dispose of the costly prisoner. There had to be an example made out of someone after all. So when the Ravens sergeant at arms asked him what his plans were for her, his decision had been cemented. "I'm making plans for the prisoner’s execution." said the Chiss without hesitation. “It will be done by this evening.”

What Juwiela didn’t know was that the holo that Bane had filmed of her had never been sent. Once Corruck had yielded under torture, he had put it away in a storeroom to forever gather dust. What Cryax didn’t know, alternatively, was that the holo had been stolen out of that storeroom by a rebel sympathizer in their ranks and delivered to Rebel Alliance leaders. Whatever information Juwiela had tapped out with the fingers she had left, including her possible whereabouts, was now in rebel hands.

Patricia was wearing a heavy red coat and pants, she didn't dare wear that skimpy red dress here on this freezing crap bag of a planet. So she sat back in the command center her eyes puffy and red from crying a all night. She had recently found out that her love Romeo had died and she was now in sole custody of their two children Erika and Kincaid. By her side was her trusty Czerka assault rifle and ammo belt. She sniffled and sipped at her coffee, a small tear running down her cheek.

"I can't believe he left, just like that. He didn't even say goodbye, he just left a message!" She yelled and resisted throwing her coffee to the floor.

She looked up to Cryax with tears in her eyes and she didn't care if this rebel died or not. She didn't care that she had given up her old life of abiding the law or enforcing it, she felt emptying and hateful, she felt wrath for the sith for taking her love, and she felt sorrow for her son who would never be held by his father. She sniffled again and took another sip of her coffee before setting it aside.

"Was it me?" She asked cryax almost blaming herself

Tmoxin went to answer Cryax but was distracted by Patricia's sudden outburst of grief. She crossed her arms and stood back against the bare, dingy wall of the prison feeling a little awkward that she was lurking around during the human's display of painful emotion. Sympathy didn't come easy to Tmoxin but at that moment, she felt sorry for Patricia and also for the Miraluka in the cell who Cryax was hell bent on executing.

She didn't want to disturb Patricia in her sorrow so she leaned into Cryax and asked in a low voice, "Just how do you plan on executing the prisoner? From what I can tell in the Medbay there is nothing which will kill the Rebel in a humane manner. And I can't stand by and watch you shoot her in the back like some animal which needs to be put down."

Even quiet, Tmoxin's voice was stern and challenging.

"I said stand down." Corruck whispered as loudly as he dare towards the soldier that seemed intent on shooting one of the droids out of the tower with an ion blaster.

He at last just knocked the blaster out of the man's aim. The man, understandably upset, swore quietly and gave Corruck a hard stare. Corruck simply pushed the man back into line. There were about five of them, not including himself. He was waiting for a signal from other Rebels in the area. When the signal was given, his part of the plan was to disable the droid guarding this section of the fence, use the plasma torches to burn a hole through the fence, then to make their way into the facility.

From there Corruck would lead the men to hold the turbolift. Although, he had a secondary goal. He had recently found that the man who had given him over to Dredge may be here. This Cryax Bane would be the target for his retribution if he could had the chance. Corruck looked at his cybernetic arm for a moment, letting the anger towards the Chiss fill his mind to give him more courage. Today would be a fine day to show the Red Ravens that the Rebellion was not full of pushovers.

Cryax gently lay a hand on the shoulder of his devastated Executive Assistant, and shook his head. "It wasn't you, Patricia," he said. "The damn fool did it to himself. And you know what? Your son is lucky he doesn't have to grow up around that suicidal bastard." It might have been a stretch for the crime boss to be Patricia's shoulder to cry on, especially since a few breaths before, he had just been talking about executing a prisoner, but he was all she had right now in the way of a comforting friend.

At Tmoxin's question about how to humanely execute the Rebel pilot, he whipped his head around to look at her. In a heartbeat, Cryax's face changed, his expression darkening, glowing red eyes flashing with spite. "I think you should figure out how to execute the prisoner, Miss Temi. Oh and once you do, You're to send the Holo footage of the execution to your brother [member="Armand Temi"], who according to Wookiee Leaks, is a member of this terrorist organization. Just how long were you planning on keeping that family tie a secret from me, eh?"

The Chiss had few qualms about killing the prisoner himself, but the irony of having Tmoxin carry out the execution was too delicious to ignore. The Wookiee Leaks story about Armand Temi's rebel ties had sparked a fresh round of paranoia in Cryax, and upon slicing into his sergeant at arms' personal account, he had not found any evidence that she was turning. However, if Tmoxin was planning something with her brother, this would be one poetic way of telling them both that he was closely watching them.

Corruck listened, he responded almost immediately. "You are free to engage Prudii. Remember low profile."

He left his comm on and turned to the men with him. He nodded before speaking to them. His voice was kept down, just loud enough to be heard to those that stood nearby. "Alright, weapons free but keep it to a minimum. We don't want to catch to much attention."

The man who had taken point on the droid carefully lifted his ion blaster, took aim, and fired three shots in quick succession. Corruck ran to the fence as swiftly as he could. He raised his own rifle and waved over the two men carrying the plasma torches. As they cut through the fence Corruck was watching for any guards looking in their direction or raising an alarm. Of course, he knew that the downed droid would cause suspicion, so he had planned for that eventuality.

A few moments after the fence had begun to cut apart, three fragmentation mines detonated about five meters from the front gate. They had been set to command switch that Corruck had flipped. He was placing his hopes on the fact that sentient guards would be drawn to a massive explosion that probably wounded a few people rather than a single droid shorting out. While he could be wrong, he was more certain that he was right. Time would tell, but he hoped that it was a good assumption.

Though she may have been inside the prison itself and a distance from the front gate, the rumble of the explosives was still able to be felt through the floor, and Juwiela knew it wasn't a practice exercise. What was happening was real, and not for the betterment of the Ravens. Where most would have immediately leapt to their feet in anticipation she remained seated and carefully still, having learned by now that her captors were able to watch her every move via a holocam that sent live feed directly from her cell. It would do no good to raise the alarm more than it already likely had been. They already had enough on their hands as it was.

Outwardly she was the embodiment of calm, but internally her mind was already racing with possible strategies. Blind she may have been, but there were a number of other senses and skills at her disposal. And once the collar that restricted her use of the Force was removed, those capabilities would expand. There was only one route to her prison, or so she'd guessed, though it was hard to determine such by hearing alone. There were probably a number of indirect, less conspicuous routes that could be taken, but if she knew the Rebels at all, their goal would be to get in and out as quickly as possible and with little outside interference. So the straightforward path it would likely be.

Getting out relatively unscathed would be an entirely different matter, but one she wouldn't focus on for the moment. Her allies hadn't even entered the prison to her knowledge, and already she was getting ahead of herself. There was the matter of finding and then reaching her cell first, something that would be a task itself, with security to consider. For a captive that had seemingly worn out her usefulness, they sure were intent on keeping her as secure as possible. On the chance that the Rebels weren't successful she had a feeling her execution would be in short order, a fact that no longer worried her as much as it should have. That at least meant a finality to all that had happened.

With a minute shake of her head she drove those last thoughts from her mind, focusing instead on her breathing and thoughts of escape. Finally.

Tmoxin stepped back from Cryax Bane. Her first instinct was to become combative at his outburst. She could feel the swell of anger in the pit of her chest, rising up and longing to escape. It would feel very good to tell her hot-headed boss off right now.

Her face reddened but her expression remained calm. This was a flash point with Bane, she thought but getting defensive wasn't going to help the situation. "Ch'ah csarcican't bert'un'ah bah ch'eo k'sici," the Hapan said in passable Cheunh. It wasn't a flawless execution of the language as the Chiss tongue was notoriously difficult to master for non-native speakers. "And I don't mean have him killed," she said. "But just out of the way for awhile."

As for the prisoner's execution, she supposed one of the interrogation droids around here may have some kind of poison which could be given in a large dose. She began to leave the Comm Center through the only door, but heard and felt an explosion.

Immediately a wailing alarm sounded throughout the prison. The alarm drowned out the sound of the droid turrets on the guard tower which had been activated by motion sensors. The droid turrets, all four of them shot plasma waves at any movement throughout the prison yard, including the explosion site.

Objective: Take out 2 turrets on the wall, and make an air drop onto the base.

Prudii lept from his Tegaanalir ship, which had a full crew of z-6 naval droids programmed to fly his craft. they would Jam the comm system with its disruptor torpedoes and shoot two turrets with its jamming beam projector.(both are mentioned in link) he took out his DEMP rifle ant took aim at the rest of the droids and fired five times, taking out only two on his way down. they were both on the opposite side of the camp from the small strike force of rebels, and would with any luck throw the suspicion to that side of the compound first. Activating his jetpack at the last instant to halt his fall, he landed next to the turret he had his ship disable, and yanked out its circuit board.Jumping back outside of the wall, he quickly ran to Corruck's strike team; using a lightsaber he had found on a recent salvage operation, he helped cut the rest of the way through the fence. "The turret on this side of the compound is down, I can have my ship hit the other 3 for our escape, but we still have to move fast." He fell in with Corruck and his men. "Their central comm station is down for now, greatly slowing communications." his ship had fired the torpedo directly at the center of the prison, which should have fried most, if not all of the electronics in the prison.Which, maybe not too stealthy, was definitely effective, with little to know way to find where the torpedo came from without the electronic surveillance system. which to him, achieved the 'Stealth' purpose to him. He pulled out his two verpine shatter pistols which were silent, and had no muzzle flash, because they operate on railgun principles.

The torpedo impact took out the lights and the central comm station electronics. But the doors to the prison remained untouched, including Juwiela Melec's cell and each connecting door around the prison. In the Comm Center Tmoxin hit button after button on the main console to test out what was still working. A hum could be heard in the background and dim lights flickered up around them. The backup generator of the prison had been automatically activated. Tmoxin swiftly exited the Comm Center and went out into the hallway close to the Command Area, a blaster rifle clutched tightly in her hands. "Red alert! Red alert! There's been an infiltration!" she shouted.

Tmoxin let herself into the Command Area with a few touches to the keypad. She leaned against the wall to catch her breath. Cryax Bane wanted her to kill the diminutive Rebel Fighter but obviously she was valuable enough to rescue. And in the Hapan officer's mind, that meant she was valuable enough to be kept alive at least for the moment.

Concealed only by the darkness, Apoc watched the base. Black nothingness prevented the guards on the towers from seeing the lone man, but nothing stopped him from seeing them. With a clear view on all hostiles in his immediate area, it was time for him to commence what he was here to do. Murder. Killing. The job. It didn't matter what you called it, how you did it, it was always the same. And no doubt it would end in the same way, with Apoc standing above his enemies unmoving corpse.

As it he heared traces of the battle starting at another point of the base, Apoc decided now was the right time. With expert precision, he unloaded two bursts from his modified AR-70 into the two guards in the tower. They fell with a thud, without even knowing what had hit them. Ahead of him was now a clear pathway to the base, his only obstacle know was the fence. With his back up against the now empty guard tower, the masked soldier would place 2 thermal detonators on the superstructure before approaching the fence. These thermal detonators would act as a great distraction if Apoc would need it. That combined with the large blaster radius almost guaranteed a way out of the base once inside.

What now stood infront of him was a high fence. Electrolysed and with barbed wire on the top, it would be a hard obstacle to overcome. he receded back into the darkness as he thought of a possible way into the encampment. As of yet there was no clear way inside.

Tmoxin felt that a true siege was upon them. She could hear the frag mines and torpedoes outside of the walls. She could feel the rumbling under her feet. The Hapan Officer knew that there would be sentries and droids and guards to fight the battle that had suddenly appeared in front of them. She keyed in the password to Juwiela Melec's cell and entered it. "Me and you are going to be fast friends," Tmoxin said, pointing her blaster rifle at the Miraluka. "For a little while at least."

She kept her blaster trained at the head of Juwiela and stood still, not sure if Juwiela could tell she had a weapon pointed at her and not sure what she was actually going to do with the prisoner now that she was in the cell with her.

Corruck was the first through the new hole in the fence. He nodded as he passed Verd. "Time to secure the prisoner."

The men quickly followed Corruck through and as a group they raced towards the central building. A few of the men fell as blaster fire caught them, but most made it safely across. They stacked up in front of the main door, as Corruck pulled the door open one of the men threw a flash bang in ahead. They waited a moment until the grenade had gone off. Then the men charged in, guns blazing shooting at anything that still moved. The inside seemed fairly plain, perfect for an escape route. Of the fifteen remaining men he posted nine inside the room to hold the position. The other six and Corruck made their way to the turbolift where they would move to the level where Rogue Leader was being held.

"Be ready men! They have three patrolling guards, and 4 stationary ones. If we are lucky we won't have to deal with more than 5 or six of them. We also don't know how many additional staff they might have; be ready for anything." Prudii warned as the turbolift rose into the facility. He drew both of his verpine shatter pistols and prepared for yet again another covert operation. When the turbolift rose into place, he saw one of the patrolling guards face the group. not giving the poor sap a chance to comm his superiors, he let off five shots, each one targeted at a different place on the man's torso, or head, taking him out of this operation. "There is 2 more of them, keep your eyes peeled, he warned heading towards the door leading to @Juwiela Melec's cell.

The sound of her cell door opening was something Juwiela had adapted to recognize whether she was actively paying attention or not. So when one of her wardens entered the room, the doors sliding smoothly shut behind them, she became instantly alert, turning her head in the direction the voice, presumably female, had come from. There was that subtle tingling at the back of her neck that told her a live weapon was present and likely currently leveled directly at her, a variable that had become all too common in her life recently to really concern her anymore. It was just another facet of living, as much a part of things as her imprisonment itself.

An almost imperceptible smile turned up the corners of her mouth for a few brief seconds more. Apparently none of them had quite grasped the fact that, although those of her lineage were able to see via the Force, the collar around her neck currently prevented anything of the sort. It was amusing, listening to them attempt to communicate with a blind woman through gestures that were going unseen by the one they were intended for. It was one of few things she had to muster a smile at. Well, that and the fact that her captors seemed to woefully underestimate the Rebel Alliance. That was more of a grim piece of humor in itself, and a point she would be all too happy to prove them on wrong.

Taking a breath she stood slowly, taking her time, as if this wasn't a very real life-or-death scenario, but rather an everyday occurrence. It was likely she stood a head or two shorter than the woman, but that didn't concern her. Intimidation wouldn't get her anywhere, something she'd known from the beginning. But distractions worked just as well, even if they were of the purely conversational type. "Whatever you're pointing at me, you should know I can't see it. I'm going to assume it's a blaster, not that you'll need it. In case you haven't noticed, I can't exactly see." Here she waved a hand in front of where her eyes would have been, had the tan cloth not been wrapped across her empty sockets, as if to prove a point.

"If you're going to shoot me, just get it over with. I've had plenty of time to tire of waiting around."

Solan watched as the teams moved in and his eyes stared in sadness at what he saw. It was another day and his cloak fell in a deep black around his body, under it was the Viola Coat and under that his light fiber armor. In his hands he held the same scythe that he always used now, his hands tightening on the grip and small flames danced around its blade as he sat alone and watching the prison as the other teams moved in with their squads. Solan had taken a much more silent approach as he looked at those with him and smiled. This was a new group he had assembled, all from a little something called the shadow dynasty and all very much so loyal to him. He wasn't stupid to bring people loyal to the dynasty on a rebel mission but he wasn't stupid to bring no one to support him.

So speaking through the mask Solan put on his show as his voice was corrupted, making it darker and hoarse, broken as it matched the mask of death upon his face. "Here is the plan, while the droids are busy and distracted we are going to use this as a cover, every make sure that you have your scramblers ready for video, and i want complete silence from this point on. Also make sure you leave your minds clear and open, if i need to contact you it will be in your mind and not in voice. Now, come my spawns of the dark, it seems we have work to do."

The team itself was made up of twenty men, two marksmen, two tech specialists, two medics, two heavy weapons/demo specs, and the rest basic hit and clear troops that moved up with him. The moved silently and slowly, all wearing Stealth Field Generators that Solan had made sure to provide his people with before hand upon learning of the strike. This in mix with the radio silence and visual disruptor should easily fool droids and cameras unless someone was stupid enough to knock into one or get close to it. Soldiers were another thing though but with the noise that the other team was making, Solan had good faith in their needing to deal with that. As such his men made careful to get to the fence for now.

The plan to deal with teh fence was easy, they would use a isolated foam to section off a part of the fence before cutting it away. From there then the demo-experts will move in and take out the towers if they have the chance, moving along the fence to hide any mishaps with the Raven's own men. Meanwhile the others will funnel in and set up positions while three men each went with the demo-experts. The two marksmen were remaining where they were on high ground as over watch, snipers trained on the guard towers to make sure to remove any threats that were not planned for.

As long as this all went smooth, everything should go fine.
