SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Camond Manor
  • Classification: mansion, organized crime base
  • Location: Niamos
  • Affiliation: Xoj Camond, Pyke Syndicate
  • Accessibility: Camond Manor is rather isolated, being the only building within a few miles. It, and the surrounding grounds are patrolled by guards, who will detain or kill any tresspassers. There is a single road connecting it to the nearest town, which is blocked by a security gate.
  • Description: Camond Manor is the Pyke Syndicate’s seat of power on the planet Niamos. It is a large and luxurious abode, isolated from the rest of society. It overlooks a large beach, which is closed off to visitors. Despite seemingly opting for style over substance, the mansion is built with very strong materials, is surprisingly easy to defend in the event of an attack, and has a retractable anti-starfighter missile battery built into the roof.
POINTS OF INTEREST

  • Security Gate: This is where all visitors have to pass through in order to access the mansion, and is located about a kilometer away. It is adorned with two small guard towers. An anti-vehicle laser cannon is mounted on each of these towers.
  • Garage: This is where Xoj Camond stores his personal limousine-speeder, and where any long term guests store their own vehicles. While larger than an average house’s speeder garage, it is nothing especially noteworthy.
  • Foyer: This is where Xoj Camond meets his guests, and the first room most visitors see. Its walls are decorated with a large mural of Niamos’ oceans and sea creatures. The room is illuminated by a chandelier made of massive quartz crystals mined on Niamos. In the center of the room is an elaborate obsidian fountain, which depicts a rotating globe of Niamos.
  • Main Office: This is where Xoj Camond conducts most of his day-to-day running of his branch of the Pyke Syndicate. In the room is a desk carved out of dried up coral. In the back of the room is a large window made of extra-strength transparisteel, which provides an excellent view of the ocean. Concealed in one of the walls of this room is Xoj Camond’s personal collection of weapons, including his signature M. I. Model 32 Multiple Grenade Launcher.
  • Droid Storage/Repair Room: This is where the many droids who maintain the mansion are stored and repaired when not in use. The room is not decorated, as it is a utility room, and not meant to be seen by guests. A wide variety of droids can be found here, ranging from protocol droids, to combat droids. One of the more notable droids here is IG-LC, a dangerously violent IG Lancer droid who functions as the last line of defense for the mansion.
  • Dining Room: This is where Xoj Camond eats meals with his guests, or by himself. It is decorated with a whale skeleton which hangs from the ceiling, several obsidian busts of famous Pykes from throughout history, including Dazat Eios, Harkonus Dharom, and Dastile Karkivic. In the center of the room is a circular table made out of wood harvested from a species of local palm tree on Niamos.
  • Balcony: This large balcony is the defining feature of the mansion’s back. It has a few reclining chairs for relaxing, a musicomp unit, and a landing pad for small spacecraft.
  • Greenputt Course: On the grounds of the mansion is an 18 hole Greenputt course. This is where Xoj Camond and his guards enjoy relaxing in their time off. The course is rather difficult, and has several sand traps. Also, there is always the risk of accidentally hitting the ball into the ocean.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Camond Manor was built in the year 865 BBY, under the original name of Gold Beach Estate. Its original owner was a businessman from Coruscant, who was obsessed with playing greenputt. After a few years, he fell into serious debt with some high ranking members of the Eternal Empire, and was forced to sell Gold Beach Estate to Xoj Camond.

After buying Gold Beach Estate, Xoj Camond renamed it Camond Manor. He also did some major redecorating on the inside. He did this both to make it feel more distinctly like a Pyke mansion, to make it more defendable, and to show off his wealth. He also added some distinct Niamos touches to the design, to represent his control of the planet. When remodeling, he decided to keep the greenputt course, despite not being an avid player of the sport.
