- Personality: There is precisely one thing in the Galaxy that Xoj Camond loves. It is not an individual, an ideology, or an object. It isn’t even money. What Xoj Camond loves is attention. To gain this attention, he is constantly trying to improve his standing in the Pyke Syndicate. He also has a tendency to spend his vast wealth on highly questionable purchases. However, it should also be noted that Xoj seems to be genuinely invested in the well-being of his underlings. He usually tasks non-sentient droids more with dangerous jobs, and knows most of his organic employees by name.

- Well-Connected: Xoj Camond has connections to some very important government officials both on Niamos, and across the Galaxy. He also has connections to the other crime syndicates, and the galactic corporations.
- Spice Addiction: Xoj Camond has a nasty spice addiction. When he is under the influence of the substance, he acts aggressively, arrogantly, and just plain stupidly.
- Blind Spot: Xoj Camond is blind in his left eye, meaning it is easy to sneak up on him from the left, and he doesn’t have the best depth perception either.
Anxoj “Xoj” Camond was born on the planet Oba Diah to a lower class family. His parents always seemed to be at work, which meant that Xoj was for all intents and purposes raised by his older brother, Halko. Halko was a juvenile delinquent who had aspirations of joining the Pyke Syndicate. Naturally enough, he also imprinted both of these traits onto Xoj. At the age of 8, Xoj became Halko’s partner in crime.
At first, Xoj’s contribution was simply distracting gullible tourists while Halko pickpocketed them. As the two boys became young adults, and became better at crime, Xoj’s roles in their schemes became more important. Their criminal schemes also became much more elaborate. After the two brothers managed to swindle a wealthy banker from Corulag out of a small fortune, they got the attention of the Pyke Syndicate.
Xoj and Halko both began working as low level members of the Pyke Syndicate. They were assigned to the tropical planet Niamos. Halko was slightly annoyed by this, as he wanted to work closer to the Syndicate leadership. Xoj, meanwhile, was thrilled to be able to go to the flashy and sun-soaked planet. Their new jobs mostly consisted of assisting more experienced members of the Syndicate with their own con operations, and rarely involved fighting. That is, until one particular job.
The job was quite simple on paper. Xoj and Halko simply had to accompany a more experienced member of the Syndicate named Fenx Trentil as he sold a few Camtonos of spice to a particularly unpleasant amphibian named Equack Plarz. The deal went sour however, and a violent blaster fight broke out between the Pykes and Equack Plarz’s henchmen. The fight ended when Xoj managed to kill Plarz, causing Plarz’s remaining henchmen to retreat. However, Fenx Trentil had been killed during the fight.
After this incident, Xoj and Halko were appointed to the inner circle of the Niamos branch of the Pyke Syndicate, to replace the seat that had once belonged to Fenx Trentil. At this point, the leader of the Niamos Pykes was an older Pyke named Wesgen Sklendo. Xoj had never liked Sklendo, and being in his inner circle only reenforced this. In his opinion, Sklendo was weak-willed, lacked a strong stance on most issues, and was too cavalier with the lives of his underlings.
After a few years as Sklendo’s minion, Xoj was fed up with his buffoonery. Xoj began gradually planting evidence that Sklendo had been informing the other crime syndicates about Pyke secrets. Once all the evidence was in place, Xoj accused Sklendo of being a spy in the middle of a meeting that was attended by Jej Ulchtar (the leader of the entire Pyke Syndicate). While Sklendo tried to deny his accusation, it was far too late. Many of the Pykes at the table already believed that Sklendo was a spy, and backed Xoj up. Jej Ulchtar had seen enough. As Sklendo desperately tried to deny the accusations to everyone in the room, Jej Ulchtar simply shot Sklendo under the table, ending the discussion. Xoj was appointed as the new leader of the Niamos branch of the Pyke Syndicate right then and there.
As the new leader of the Niamos branch of the Pyke Syndicate, Xoj focused heavily on expanding the Syndicate’s control of the planet. While the Pykes held a majority of the planet in their grip, there were still a few parts of the planet controlled by independent gangs. Sklendo had allowed them to exist as long as they did not encroach onto Pyke territory. Xoj would not do this. Under his leadership, the Syndicate either absorbed or violently disbanded all of these entities, leaving him as the sole ruler of Niamos.
