(OOC - Cait is a "Military Fiction" character, in part inspired by the likes of Richard Sharpe, Juan Rico, and Commander Rex - just a muggle in a universe of space wizards - she starts off without a unit or a cause...mostly because I - the author - still don’t fully understand all of the factions or the major events of the recent past. Consider this BIO a continuous work in progress while I get my feet under me).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

(+) Grunt Grit - No matter how bad it gets, Cait’s seen worse twice this week alone - she can take a punch (or worse) and keep her cool. She is not prone to panic, remains adaptive and handles unforeseen changes to plans with minimal fuss.

(-) Grunt "Aim" - If you throw enough blaster bolts at it, something has to hit...right? - A marksman Cait is not. If you want covering fire, Cait’s your gal, but for precision shooting you probably wanna ask someone else...anyone else.

(+) Semper Fu - Cait is trained in a handful of unarmed combat styles, beyond just the basics imparted upon all Soldiers leading up to the One Sith War, Cait has pursued additional schooling in "Fleet Fu" which is a combination of Boxing and whatever the in-universe-equivalent is to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She's whole light-years away from Black Belt level, but she'd hold her own in a competition and place in the top 50%.

(+) Handy with a Wrench - They say that every Soldier is a Rifleman first. What they don’t say is that he’s a Mechanic second. Even in the Galaxy Far Far Away, we still manage to have Motorpool Monday. She’s not a proper Engineer, but Cait is something of a Grease Monkey.

(+/-) Everyone comes home. Everyone. - Some no-name dustball is no place to make your eternal resting place. Cait ensures everyone that leaves with her comes back too. Sometimes this can interfere with the mission.

(-) Quick to Judge anyone with a Title - Bad experiences with worthless officers - appointed due to connections or politics rather than aptitude - sit poorly with Cait. She assumes the worst of the higher-echelons of the socio-economic bracket almost immediately, and this Bias can blind her to good intentions or honorable nobility.

(+/-) Family Back Home - Her adopted daughter, Eliza, lives with Cait's brother Ferrick on Nubia. Much of her disposable income is wired back there. Eliza gives Cait a great reservoir of resolve, but if an adversary were to come across this information...

APPEARANCE:
Cait is athletic and muscular, strong instead of fast. She is no track star, but is at home in a squat-rack or boxing ring. She is surefooted and light on her feet, but her movements are efficient and powerful, rather than graceful or quick.

She is given to utilitarian attire even when off duty: a tank-top, fatigue pants and mid-calf-length synth-leather combat boots. She retains her old unit overcoat from her time in the Armed Forces of the Republic, it is forest green with silver unit flash.

She wears her shoulder-length dirty-blond hair in a messy ponytail or loose. She does not wear makeup.

While she's working its armor, combat gear, and an atmosphere helm (in case of hull breach) at all times.

Equipment
Main Weapon
BlasTech CC13 - This is my Blaster. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Alt. Longarm
Reclaimer DC-18 - Configured into "Assault" mode 99% of the time.

Sidearm
Mandal MT-14 - She only wears one. This isn't a John Wu movie.

Body Armor
Browncoat Guardian Kit
- Try not to get dead.

BIOGRAPHY:
Cait fought in the One Sith War as an Enlistedman as part of the Army of the Republic. When the War ended, she mustered out of the service, having adopted the daughter of one of her squad-mates and best friends who didn't make it back.

She works, now, as a Mercenary and goes where the work is - which these days means the highly unstable Outer Rim - and sends as much of her disposable income back home as possible.

SHIP:
Cait operates the Errant Venture a BT-7 Assault Ship. This ship serves as her personal transport and residence.

The Venture specifically must be some sort of later re-issue - considering that the original design is some 4800 years old. The interior layout has been reconfigured to use available square meters more efficiently* with private cabins for 3 and bunk-space for a further 8. The central 'conference room' has been shrunk considerably, and re purposed as a combination galley briefing room.

*(OOC the original in-game cabins are sized so as to accommodate the game-engine's Camera and to prevent excessive clipping. This results in interior cabins which are laughably huge in an in-universe sense - a common feature of SWTOR generally. The change above doesn't change the ship in any other way, aside from resizing interior corridors and cabins to something more exemplary of a military design - i/e Spartan)
Interior Sets on the Venture
Cait’s Suite - The Captain’s Suite is a two room setup, a front ‘office’ and behind that a cabin. The office is small, little more than a cubicle, with a set of drawers, a holo-set workstation, a personal Caf machine, a holo-pic slide show of her family*, and a larger data-slate inset in the wall (which functions like a modern white board, but is a screen. There is also a small couch facing the cubicle for a guest to sit on. Behind the cubicle is a door into the Cabin.

*Photo Rotation is: Eliza, Ferrick, her parents, Her Squad from the Republic Army, and [member="Irajah Ven"].

Cait’s Cabin - The Cabin is basically an ultra small ‘studio apartment”. It's barely big enough for a one-person bed, and .75m of walking space. There is a dresser and some shelves inset into the wall, and a small refresher cabin inset as well.

Cait has her old Dress Uniform Jacket up on the wall, at the “headboard” of her bed.

Cockpit - Chamber is shrunk considerably as its original configuration was grossly inefficient - not least of which, Pilot/Co-Pilot could not actually see out the front viewports. Chamber has been shrunk in order to fit “Captain’s Suite” which has its main port directly into the Cockpit. The Cockpit is a large acceleration couch with safety harnesses for two, and a divider between Pilot and CoPilot (which has a cup-holder and two Data-Slates mounted on maneuverable arms, and hooks for the helmets/comm-sets. CoPilot also manages gunnery.

Guest Cabins - The Guest Cabins (of which there are two) are actually larger than the Captain’s Cabin - in that they also have a small workspace, and a wall-inset dresser and refresher cabin. They also have slightly larger “Double” sized beds. Still a tight fit for two, but theoretically she could ferry couples or something.

Gym - One of the larger sections has been converted into a gym. There is a ¾ sized boxing ring, which could be used for any form of sparring. There is a Squat Rack, Bench Press, and other free weights, as well as an elliptical. There is also a direct line from the gym into the shared Refresher Chamber

Refresher Chamber - This is your classic “barracks” style mass bathroom. Latrine Stalls, row of sinks on a dividing wall, and a row of showers behind that. This cabin obviously feeds into Water Reclamation systems.

Bunks - The old Bunk Cabin remains largely unchanged. Two levels of bunks line two walls, with a dividing wall of back-to-back lockers dividing the middle. This cabin is right next to the Refresher Chamber (for hopefully obvious reasons).

Galley - During the ship’s interior re-organization something had to give. And the extremely spacious “meeting room” was the first casualty. The Venture’s “Galley” is a small meeting room, with a wall-inset cooking unit on one wall, and a central table with 8 seats around it in the middle. On the wall opposite the cook-unit is a large “white-board” data-slate, where Cait could deliver a briefing if need be.

Cargo - The original design - insanely - lacked any cargo capacity. The redesign re-purposes several square meters to a store-room. Cait will never be hauling much in the way of Cargo, but has plenty of Store. Rations, medical supplies, survival kit, etc.

Engineering - This chamber remains also largely unchanged. Important systems, and a small workstation occupy this room.

Armoury - Chamber remains unchanged.

Sick Bay - Chamber remains unchanged.

____________
A flavor piece, not tied to any RP past or present...

Cait Falcor was tired. Tired in her bones, tired in her soul...just tired.

She stepped into her “cabin” and set down her carbine. She looked around, the space wasn’t very big, but it was more privacy than most of her guys got. On a little metal desk sat a half finished mug of caf, while a Slate projected a spread sheet and a few reports over it - the image dulled in ‘power save’ mode. Her bed was, as always, a complete mess. She stripped off her armor, stacking it neatly on the plasteel frame in the corner and stepped out of the body-suit she'd worn all day. She recoiled at the smell - the day had been long, and the suits were not known for breathability.

Tossing her body-suit into the ‘dirty’ pile she padded into the tiny shower in her cabin - an absolutely decadent luxury on a converted tramp freighter like the Venture, and one she shamelessly took advantage of. The water was cold, it was still pure bliss. No more than 180 seconds later she stepped, like a brand new person, from the shower and rapidly dressed into more ‘regular’ clothing.

“Commander Falcor” was never not in her armor - ready at any time for a hull breach or boarding action - setting an example for the men. The cabin was fairly centralized within the Venture - if there was a hull breach this deep into the ship she was dead anyway. So Cait wore shirt-sleeves.
She glanced at the mirror in the Head, ran her hand through her short blonde hair and sighed. It was almost 19:40 and that report wasn’t going to write itself.

Thank you sir :)

I appreciate the suggestion, but my research indicates that Teras Kasi is a form of Striking Martial Art, and seems to incorporate some semi-Force Wushu nonsense.

BJJ is for Grappling. There's nothing flashy about it. Its brutal and ugly, but its effective at letting a smaller opponent combat a larger, stronger combatant effectively.

Cait Falcor is not Ong Bak or Ip Man. She's Jason Bourne or Karl Urban's Judge Dredd. No flash. All grit.
