"Speyr Balley take you!"
  • Origin: Pamarthen
  • Meaning Equivalent: Harsher go to hell
  • Lore: Speyr Balley is both hero and villain in Pamarthen folklore. While he was once a great hero who ruled all of the Pamarthen Kingdoms he also became a crazed king and terror of the seas. His ghost ship is cited as the reason for many a sailor's death.
"Drown in your bones"
  • Origin: Pamarthen
  • Meaning Equivalent: I hope you die/go to hell etc etc.
  • Lore: It is said that to keep the spirit of his evil wife from rising from her watery grave Speyr Balley burned the corpse to bones and buried her at sea wrapped in chains. The saying comes from a poor translation of the Tragedy of Speyr Balley.
The two are often used together

"Speyr Balley take you and may you drown in your bones!"
