Building a Future (Pii System; PM to Join)

John Ash

Only by Fire do we become Ash.
It had taken some time, but things were finally able to progress. John had allowed those Republic exiles or current Galactic Republic or whatever it was they wished to be called continue to provide aid to the people of the Pii system after he had taken the deed to it from the old owner. He needed the time it offered him. He knew the system couldn't survive in the hands of the old owner, who now was rotting in a hole somewhere behind John's new office on Pii 3. He knew these people needed more than a CEO who saw only a quick profit from back breaking labor cutting down the Greel trees that exclusively grew on some of the planets in the system. He knew they deserved someone who put their needs and the needs of the system ahead of their own bank account. He knew this and hated how he felt the need to do something about it. It wasn't like him to do this sort of thing. He had enough to worry about with his company, but something was pushing him to be more than a hired gun or a curt boss. And so he had done some thinking, some drinking, and some preparing.

John sat in the throne like chair sitting behind his new greel wood desk. He listened to the messages coming in from the workers he had pulled in from his other locations. One message was informing him that the new messaging system was up on Pii 3 and 4 in all of the settles across the two planets. Another message informed him that the communication hub was finally finished in orbit around Pii 3 and could send out messages across the entire system whenever he was ready. And the last message informed him that all of the ships had arrived. Every shuttle, cargo frigate, and medical corvette that he needed, and that his company created, were ready to deploy where they needed to be. Everything was finally in place for John's plan to be carried out. He issued every worker their order and then set his holoprojector up on his desk.

John pushed his throne chair back before he activated the projector. In every settlement, on every ship, and across every channel an image of John in his chair appeared. He said as he looked forward with a stoic face, " I'm John Ash, the new owner of the Pii system, and this is a message for every resident of the system. Shuttles will be arriving soon at every settlement across Pii 3 and Pii 4 to pick you up. All those who are injured will board the Medic class corvettes and receive treatment while the uninjured board the shuttles. You will be brought to Rosh so I can tell you what will be happening next myself in person. All members of this floating Republic fleet and all pirates still holding out in your hide outs in the asteroid belts are welcome to listen to it over your holoprojectors. That is all for now."

The projection ended as John finished speaking. John stood up from his throne and checked himself. He was still wearing the armor he had made himself. His handmade pistols were holstered on his sides. His appearance was as acceptable as usual. Gruffy but not enough to be an issue. He was ready for the next step. He had to be after all of the credits and resources he had decided to dump into his plan for this system. All he could do now was head out of his new office and to the meeting place just outside of town. There would be people there waiting to hear their fates from his mouth soon enough.

Celty floated there in the massive bulky suit made to withstand the vacume of space. A clip connected her to the communications hub stopping her from drifting away. John knew her background with tech it was probably why she was out here. Engineers always focused mainly on the building of hardware but when it came to the nitty gritty of the software, well she was far more skilled than most. Her feet was hooked under the pannal as her hand was holding a data pad by a handle on it's case. The other hand was a pen so she could actually use it. The current conditions she could do much but she could connect to create a wireless link. This way she could work from the comfort of the warmth and a hot blue milk.

Music would be playing from the earphones as she worked waiting for her data pad to intergrate. It was taking a while to reach that one hundred percent marker but it was worth it to gain full access to it's systems. Although keeping her promise john would receive the same access. Trust was minimal between the two. The question was would it always be like it between them. She only saw the merc in him. He only saw her greed for more information so she could gain from it. The connection had finally established. She took the wires out of the datapad and closed the panel. Bit by bit she mauvered her self down before pushing herself away towards the ship she'd been temporarily provided.

Her hands would grip onto the nearest spot she could get a grip and shimmied to the hatch on the ship to enter. As the room pressurized she could feel her weight come back firmly setting her on the floor. A twist of the helmat air rushed inside lifting her hair up a little before it was fully off then continued to take the rest off leaving it in a heap on the floor. Walking further into the small ship she took her earphones out and sat down at the terminal to get hold of john. "I'm connected. I will tell you when it's been upgraded. I'm hoping to improve it's performance allowing to reach further. It will also give me... Us access to pilots communications in this sector. "

Pii was more or less under control albeit very rough in regards to comforts, technology or supporting infrastructure. The Medical frigate provided more than what was planet side. Most of Pii 3, 4 and 5 were pristine by vast proportions of the planet. There was ruins of long neglected and abandoned equipment of deforestation over the centuries of the precious greel wood. It would be nice to have greel wood furniture but it was incredibly exorbitant in cost. Here she stood at the very natural factory of the stuff. That natural resource alone with the isolation of the system had promise of a great deal.

Rashae saw the income protential but they had almost no structure. It was like they were looking at a nearly blank canvas. She shook her head. It was John's beast now. Who knew a planet had a deed of all th ings but he had it. Rashae still pondered John's proposal of funding her biotech business which was currently under construction on Pii 5. Pii 5 was even more remote than Pii 3 or 4. It had some greel wood but was colder and almost no population. Her team found a small mountain valley to nestle her facility at that they could tap into thermal power of the planet. There was wind, water and fertile soil. The green houses were the first to go up, then the factory and the last piece was Research and development which was going to take the longest. The amount of computing power and security she needed made the project the longest. John's consultation on that was in her mind invaluable.

The woman even listened to the now unemployed Admiral and the captain of her frigate. There was a lot of hardware in orbit still of the republic exiles. She found herself at the head of the republic exiles as Master Thorne had to go tend to some rather important jedi business. She didnt really understand but they were in good position. The Doctor worked at improving relations between the scattered locals and the republic exiles who needed a place to live. When it came time to assert her authority the defunct admiral was a problem. So the woman fired him.

It had been two weeks and that seemed to have mellowed the bastidge out enough to talk reasonably. That was all she wanted so they started restructuring what military forces to hopefully integrate into Pii. John had went into seclusion a bit as he had things to decide. This irritated her as this whole mysterious bit was getting old. Especially since his very nature crawled under her skin and itched it mercilessly where she couldnt get rid of it. She had to face the fact about how she felt about the wayward mercenary.

His message came in hearing his voice as her impromptu council was speaking about getting the rest of the non essential personnel and civilians planet side. She glared at his image as her arms folded. It was cold and impersonal and she didnt like it. He didnt even tell her in person, it actually felt stabby even in places she wasnt expecting. This increased her irritation.

“Alright if Mr. Ash wants to play like that. We can accommodate him. Send a message back that the leader of the republic exiles will be in attendance. Do not leave a name just the leader. “ She said in a rather cold calculating way with gritted teeth.

“No name? “ Said the prior admiral as he was confused. Cantalos raised his hand calmly.

“Doctor, you sure you want to irritate the owner of Pii system now?” He asked.

She turned on the two. “I know John Ash. He doesnt know Master Thorne has left for other issues. A little surprise wont hurt. Not to mention his severe lack of manners.” She said the last with gritted teeth.

Her calm patient captain and the previous admiral looked at the unpredictable woman. Cantalos put his hand on the naval officer to mean don't go there. Just stay out of it.

“I want my shuttle prepared. Now!” She said rather pointedly and in a tone to not leave any argument. She turned to head to her quarters to get ready for this... meeting.

The admiral said low to Cantalos. “but there is the holo option?”

The captain shook his head. “just leave it be. You will get used to this. Mr Ash might be in for a bad day. I will explain. “ He took the military man to his office as they spoke of the dynamics of their leader.

In a couple of hours she was dressed, perfumed, prettied up, but mad as a wet cat as she was shuttled down for this.. meeting. She had an escort of course and knew quite well that John was not aware she was representing the republic exiles. It wasnt like he communicated or anything. Not like communicating was at all important. Other leaders of whatever settlements and groups was at this impromptu town hall sort of meeting melted at the sight of her. She took a front row seat with four guards about her keeping the rest of the populace at arms length away from the doctor.

Most of the people knew of the doctor as she brought a lot of good to both pii 3 and 4 with health care, social services, food, clothing and other much needed supplies. Now she stared at the empty seat in front of them as she waited. That little foot tapped ever so slowly as she waited.

Having made her way into one of the various pirate gangs in the Pii system, Zesiro was reclining, surrounded by others in the gang when an announcement from [member="John Ash"] came over the communications.

"What in blazes is all this about?"

One of the pirates called out, raising her hand to silence him, she listened to the words. After he was done, she stood up, all eyes were watching her. They had no choice.

"It appears there is a new owner in the system."

Striding over to the holoprojector, she turned it on for the next message.

Some of the pirates around her were saying they liked the old one, others that were looking forward to ransacking his supplies and even more that were so lost they had no real clue as to what was going on.

A sky look came into her eyes, perhaps this was a good time to get out of the low life and reach for the stars.

WARNING! Do not listen to this song if you are not caught up through Supernatural Season 11 and actually care for plot of that show!
https://youtu.be/g4hQGrgkuvE

'If I had wings, like Noah's dove
I'd fly up the river, to the one I love.
Fare thee well, oh honey, fare thee well.'

Wanderer. Vagabond. Drifter.

These all were quite appropriate for Keric, as he'd never felt more at home than on the road.

Smuggler. Criminal. Law Enforcement. Cop.

These too, fit Keric. He'd been each of them at some point in his life, sometimes at the same time. He'd never be one to call himself a moral person, however. He cared about what he cared about, and anyone who didn't like it could kark themselves.

'I knew a man, who was long and tall
He moved his body, like a cannonball.
Fare thee well, oh honey, fare thee well.'

Currently, Keric sat in the cockpit of Aurora, his modified freighter. He had a Corellian Six String Guitar on his lap, and his feet up on the console beside the flight controls as he sang at full volume. His ship was nearing his destination in hyperspace, so soon he'd have to put the guitar down and actually fly, but for the moment he was enjoying letting his voice move richly through the words of a song that had been stuck in his head for weeks. He knew his singing could be heard throughout the ship, but Janta wasn't calling for his head if he didn't stop, so he took it as encouragement.

'I remember one night, a drizzlin rain
Round my heart, I felt an achin' pain.
Fare thee well, oh honey, fare thee well.'

A yellow light began blinking on the console next to his feet, warning of a hyperspace transition coming up. Keric slowly drew his feet down from the console and slid to face it again, still strumming. The washed out light of hyperspace fell away to reveal the Pii system, and Keric belted out one last line.

'One of these days, and it won't be long
You'll call my name, and I'll be gone.
Fare thee well, oh honey, fare thee well.'

He let the guitar have the last say, dragging out the final note with eyes closed. He only set the guitar back in its case when a beeping alerted him to an incoming system wide message.

John Ash said:
" I'm John Ash, the new owner of the Pii system, and this is a message for every resident of the system. Shuttles will be arriving soon at every settlement across Pii 3 and Pii 4 to pick you up. All those who are injured will board the Medic class corvettes and receive treatment while the uninjured board the shuttles. The song was still pounding around his head and heart, but he played the message again, and raised an eyebrow. Last he had heard, this system was essentially lawless, a good place to haul valuable cargo and trade it with another smuggler or a contact. Now, it would seem, Pii system was undergoing a change of management. Keric brought up a system map, and saw many bright blue icons that registered as Republic ships. That drew an even higher arched brow.

"Janta, we may have a change of plans. Looks like Pii is getting new management, so I doubt our contact will show." He called over his shoulder without looking, angling towards the inner system on a slow pace as he weighed his options.

"Let's stick around anyway, see what's happening. May be profitable." Her voice replied from far closer than Keric had thought she would be. He just barely kept from jumping out of his seat. He turned and took a deep breath with a sheepish smile on his face.

"How long have you been there?" He asked.

"I walked up during the song. The practice is helping your voice, you don't quite sound like a dying krayt dragon anymore." She said with a grin, then sat in the copilot chair.

Keric grinned and turned back to the controls.

John Ash

Only by Fire do we become Ash.
The first order of business that John had to handle on his way to the meeting area was to reply a confirmation back to [member="Celty Ree"] about receiving her message. He did so promptly and added on a mention to monitor any and all detectable ships around Pii 3. He didn't want any unexpected surprises. With that complete he had to move onto the next order of business, which was to pull out his holopad and quickly scan over his points for his announcement. The list looked longer than he remembered it was not an hour earlier. A slight frown touched his lips at the thought of having to be a talker today. It was all important information that needed to be said, but he still didn't care for testing his voice so much. And with the list reviewed it was time to move onto the last order of business, wait for the people to arrive. He was already to the meeting area but had to wait behind a large divider that was set up beforehand to be his "waiting room." He wanted to get this over with already and move onto the next step, but he was going to have to wait like the rest of the people who had already arrived were.

The shuttles all began to arrive one by one or in pairs in a steady stream. The passengers were allowed to exit and take a seat in one of the seemingly endless number of chairs. All of these seats faced towards the small stage with a podium on it. There was enough for every possible resident and guest with some extras just in case. John didn't want people to have to stay standing during all of this. He wouldn't want to have to stand through it if he was out there after all. The seats all began to fill up until the last shuttle finally arrived. Once it was emptied and the people took their seats, a middle aged human male with a rough face and an eye patch over the left eye watched up to the podium. The man cleared his throat and said in a gruff voice, " Everyone seated and comfortable? Good. Mr. Ash will address you all now."

The man stepped away from the podium as John walked from behind the curtain up onto the stage. He got behind the podium as his worker took up a military like stance behind him and to the right. John nodded to Blackwall then placed his holopad with the points open onto the podium. As he looked out towards the gathered crowd, holograms of John behind the podium activated on either side of the stage standing tall enough for everyone to be able to see them. John scanned the crowd over quickly and immediately noticed [member="Rashae"] seated close to the front. Her icy gaze was right on him and threatening to freeze him solid despite how attractively she was dressed. It caught him by surprise. Why was she here? He expected her to see his announcement but he thought she was going to be up in the medical ships making sure people were cared for. He didn't know how or why she was not doing that though, but he was going to have to press on with the matter at hand.

" Like I said before, I am John Ash and the new owner of the Pii system. The old owner, Mr. Kilmor, is dead. He hired me to kill the pirate captain Jer Roh because his pirates were plaguing the system. Jer Roh is also dead. I killed both of them. They had worked out a deal of Jer Roh and his crews hitting up any ship that didn't belong to Kilmor or was approved by him in return for the goods stolen and some credits paid. Kilmor suddenly stopped paying Jer Roh and so the pirates began to attack every ship. Jer Roh planned to take the deed for himself from Kilmor, but Kilmor found out and then hired me. I found out all of this during my mission and completed it. After I forced Kilmor to sign over the deed to the system, his company, and his personal assets in the system over to me for my silence. He did then tried to kill me by shooting me in the back. It didn't kill me, so I killed him. That is how I came to be the new owner. I will not hide these facts from you." John said with a completely serious look on his face. They needed to know first and foremost how things happened. No back door deals, no dishonesty. He was going to be honest with these people because it was what they deserved.

John paused here to let what he said sink in. The crowd was tense and uncertain. He had just admitted to them that he had completely taken over their lives by brutal force. They didn't know what to think. Murder. Coercion. Corruption. Betrayal. It was as if they were living the story of how a great faction fell. They needed to come to terms with all of it and realize how serious and real their situation now was.

After enough time had past, John continued on, " I will be making changes to the entire system. The first change is that Kilmor Exports will be disbanded and dissolved into Ashhearth Industries. Because of this everyone is sadly now out of a job." People began to exclaim their disbelief and utter anger at this revelation at John immediately. He pulled one of his pistols out of his holster and placed it on top of his podium. A thunk echoed across the area as silence was immediately given to him. He continued on, " Every one of you is owed months of back pay. Your company records confirmed this. I will be paying each and every one of you your rightfully earned pay in full. I will also be adding on a bonus that matches the pay you are getting to compensate for the troubles you have gone through and are going through now. If you work you get paid. That is what I believe and how we do things at Ashhearth Industries. Remember that because I am going to be giving each of you a choice soon."

The crowd was once again in a murmur, but this time it was more hopeful than before. Everyone was still confused on what to expect but they were finally getting their pay. They were getting twice their pay. A small windfall had finally graced them, but it was coming from a man who had admitted to some terrible things. They were still unsure of the situation. They were still unsure of John. The only thing they knew for certain right now was that things were looking better than they had in months so far.

Ooc: I don't mind if you skip my turn as I'm not partnered up with anyone.

Celty dropped back into the round cushioned chair making it twizzle around a little. Her hand would pull out one of the smaller cushions with a swirling pattern on and place it on her lap with the datapad on top. The screen of the datapad would become a keyboard as she made the terminal her primary screen so she could sit back and relax getting to work. Fingers would scatter with speed as text flew across the screen. It was so fast any normal person wouldn't be able to keep up let alone understand the meaning of the text that would be written line at a time.

First she began rewriting the current software scorce code making it her own. After seven hundred lines of making the system more reliable and harder to crack she could finally start adding in secrete back doors and code to allow the station to hyjack com's from other ships in the sector. If the station gave out more umph she could have also added in an infection code that would begin speeding her network, but even if she could it would be strategic to do it here. The place she would do this would have to be somewhere she could control from with in. The perfect brokers den.

[member="John Ash"] while informative, they did not apply to her or the band of pirates around her. Their own leader being safe and sound, well under the controlling influence of Zesiro. She would have to arrange for herself to leave and meet this new leader.

"I'm going to leave for a while. Take care of things here while I'm gone."

She sauntered out of the room, motioning to the leader as she walked out.

Borrowing a shuttle from them, Zesiro piloted it off the asteroid and away from the losing situation that was in there. However, she had not gotten very far when the engines went out and she was floating free and had no control of her vessel.

Slamming her hands on the flight console, Zesiro let out a yowl of frustration, set the beacon to alert passing ships that she was stranded and needed assistance.

Aurora drew closer to Rosh, but did not enter any of the lanes for docking. Instead, the ship coasted to a relative stop roughly 1 AU away and listened in on the holographic channel.

Keric and Janta sat in the small common area, the ships auto pilot keeping them stopped relative to Rosh.

"So...new guy in charge here. How do you think that will change things?" Janta asked as she sipped on a drink.

"If he took care of the pirates, chances are he has at least a little bit of an underhand going. He'll probably want a cut of any smuggled goods trans-shipped here..." Keric replied, trailing off as an incessant beeping came from the cockpit. He drained his drink and set it in the dish washer before moving to the cockpit.

He slid into his luxurious leather seats before tapping portions of the screen, bringing up whatever had triggered the alert.

"Janta, get on the turret. We have a distress call." That may seem a bit weird, but one could never be too careful in a relatively lawless system. Especially one in the process of a change of hands. "Setting course and bringing us in." He said over his shoulder. They were a few minutes out, courtesy of not wanting to get off their ship for the show. Keric opened a channel on the same frequency as the distress call.

"Unidentified Ship in distress, this is Captain Dynt of the Aurora. What seems to be the trouble?" He hailed as they neared. (@Zesiro)

Not one mechanically inclined in the slightest, Zesiro looked at the sparking engine in front of her when a voice answered on her distress channel. Letting out another growl at the situation, she dashed to the coms console. This was a small shuttle, so reaching anything only took a few seconds.

"My engines just cut out and stopped working."

Her voice cearly displayed her stress, but held the hint of sultryness though for the moment it was very subdued.

Right now, her hands were a bit grimy from attempting to put out the sparks eminating from her clearly busted engine.

"They are sparking so have life, beyond that I have no idea."

The ship posessed no weapons as it was mearly a shuttle for transportation between close locations.

As if on a second thought, she opened coms again.

"This is Zesiro."

Those smoldering eyes watched him come out and also locked eyes with him. There was surprise. Good. Her arms remained crossed against her chest as he continued his message. She didnt say a word as eventually the stubborn, ill mannered nerf herder of a mercenary was going to start adding things up or not. That could be too much to expect. Rashae made a disparaging expression as she reversed her thoughts. John was a basic man. Not unintelligent just basic with thinking one thing at a time. There was a long inhale and a very long exhale as she continued to smolder.

The woman shook her head as he started talking that was followed by her thumb and forefinger going to the bridge of her nose lightly as she shook her head. The man had little to no idea how to deal with the issue at large and he was treating everyone as employees? The moment he said that everyone was out of a job the icy flames that lit in her eyes lightened her eyes even to a more startling color. She waited for him to finish speaking. The ice princess would not be the sort to cause an unseemly scene in public. John was making decisions stupidly based off of almost no data. She had been in the trenches with the people. His second statement did not quell those flames none whatsoever. In fact they got even angrier.

Her republic exiles were not even considered in this at all. They needed a home. Frak business. These were people's lives and John was going to get an earfull soon. Soon as she was sure about his entire ungangly and ill advised intentions. He was the owner. Great. There was just some ways you didnt treat people. These were systems, lives not just business. Socially this was going to cause problems as well as psychologically to the entire dynamic. But then the doctor looked at t hings from the top down instead of the bottom up. Perspective was important here and in her eyes John had the wrong perspective.

John Ash

Only by Fire do we become Ash.
The people of the Pii system were very few in number. They numbers around maybe 2000 people across the entirety of the system. All they had known was being employees to companies. All they had known was their lives revolving around the greel wood trees that was the systems sole source of income. All they had known was living day by day under whoever happened to own the system at that time. This was all the had known for centuries. This was all they had known since the times of the ancient Galactic Empire serving under their Sith Emperor Sidious. For them this was yet another new owner coming in who was going to do exactly what every other owner had done before them. They were going to gain the deed, absorb the previous company, and then after a quick little speech about how things would "change" they would all be hired right back on and sent out to do what they had always done: harvest greel wood products. They were not angry. They were not outraged, disturbed, or depressed in the ways people on established systems might be. No, they were just angry they had to go through the process of working for a new owner and adjust to the minor differences all over again. The thought of rights or privileges given to them as a citizen was no where near their minds. There was no government in the system and there had never been a government ever.

John knew all of this. He had done his research into the history of the system as well as any other information he needed. These people couldn't form a government on their own. Not a healthy one at least. If these people were forced to so drastically change their lives and what they knew then it would only end in chaos and anarchy. Most of them were multi-generational inhabitants of the system. All they knew was company control, greel wood, and a sense of freedom from law that very few others could understand. John wanted to change that. He wanted to give these people a chance and the best way to see it happen was by giving them what they knew and then slowly show them a different way of life.

John waited for several moments so that the crowd could calm down. Once it had, he went on saying, " As I said you no longer have jobs, which means you are now free to seek other employment. There are more then enough jobs open for everyone of you at Ashhearth Industries, but I will not be offering anyone a job until after I have finished telling you my plans for the system. The first order of business is that I will be instituting some basic laws. Murder outside of self defense is prohibited. Theft of property that does not belong to you of any kind is prohibited. Producing and consuming spice is legal, but will be regulated extensively. The use and operating of brothels will be legal, but again will be regulated extensively. Extensive physical harm caused to a person will be prohibited. Damaging or destruction of other's property is prohibited. Disobeying or refusing a direct order from me personally is prohibited. Those are the basic laws that will be in place on the system as of now. If you do not follow these laws then punishment will be met out by officials appointed by myself. Judgements will be issued individually based off of the offense in question. Understood? Good."

The murmurs picked back up again. This time around it was in a curious way. The laws were common sense rules for the people of the system already, mostly. It seemed obvious to them to follow them, but it was new for them to be outright said as they had been. They were beginning to think that this new owner might actually be different than the last one was. John just watched for a bit as they did all of this before he continued on, " The next change is that anyone who lives on the Pii system will now have to pay a small fee for the upkeep of the infrastructure that will begin to be built after this speech. Those who work for Ashhearth Industries, or any future subsidiaries, directly will be exempt from this fee. Any person who wishes to start their own business may request help from Ashhearth Industries and we will provide some funds towards it. With all of this in mind, it is time for your choice. All of you may choose to be a citizen of Pii or choose to leave. Those who stay will have to register as a citizen and follow the new laws and changes. You will also be given a job with Ashhearth Industries if you want it. But those who wish to leave will be flown off planet to any destination of their choosing. I will personally cover all the expenses until you arrive and you will be given a parting gift of some credits on arrival to help you out. You all have until tomorrow to decide what you wish to do. We have enough tents set up for everyone and all the food you can eat."

The people didn't know what to think about all of this. This had never happened before to them. They were being given a choice in the matter and either option was tempting to take. It was going to be expensive on John's part for handling things this way, but there was plenty of goods that the pirates had stolen along with what Kilmor use to own to lighten the burden of this move. Instead of pausing here for several moments as he had before, John only gave it a few seconds before he said, " Now to any and all pirates in the system watching and listening, I offer you a choice as well. Any of you who wish to become a citizen of Pii and have a job at my company if you want it may do so. Your slate will be wiped clean of past raids, but you will have to obey every law and change I just set from this time forward. You just need to come to Rosh and register. If you do not want to do this then leave the system and never come back. You have until tomorrow to decide. All pirates still left in the system who did not register as a citizen will be hunted down and killed. I promise you this."

" And finally the exiles who arrived here from Denon. If you wish to work out a deal to stay then meet with me today or tomorrow. Any exile who wishes to become a citizen of Pii is offered the same deal as the locals. If you do not want to make a deal or be a citizen leave my system. You have done much for the people in their time of need, but that does not give you a right to stay. With that said, this speech is over." John said before he began walking off the stage towards the back of the curtain where he had been before. Blackwall walked up to the podium then and began to direct people towards the tents and the food stations that were all ready for them.

Keric nodded and muted his end after checking the sensors and finding no weapons.

"They have some engine trouble, Janta. Even shows on scanners, you can come out of the turret." He said over his shoulder before returning to the comm. "It is a pleasure to meet you Zesiro. I've got my engineer aboard, but she might not be familiar with your systems. Do you want us to take a look, or should we tow you in system for repairs?" He sent back, banking his ship around to be closer to both docking with her and within range of their tractor system.

Janta stepped into the cockpit, but just leaned against the door and watched.

Zesiro had been trying to get into the system when her shuttle broke down.

"I was heading in there when this happened."

They could hear her smack her hand against the bulkhead wall after she spoke.

"So if you were heading that way already, I could sure use a lift."

If they weren't though and the engineer did know how to repair what was wrong, that would be fine too.

"Captain Dynt, thank you very much for stopping."

It was some time before the code had been finished for the rewrite but now it would perform in the way that was needed and not expected by most. All she had left now was to upload the update. As it worked slowly. She stood up slinging her data pad to her chair. Her toes lifted as her feet touched the cold metal floor sending a tingling feeling along her spine. "Kark that's cold." Celty muttered to herself. Walking through the ship that was cluttered with wires and hardware in such way it was like an assault course with many obsticals. There was barely any room to walk on but the woman was used to it. The clutter was the norm.

She reached a room that was pretty clean compared the the rest of the ship. There was of course the overflowing washing basket. She'd walked up to the edge of the bed and spin as she flopped throwing her arms above her head. "Bored." She said followed by a sight as she also began undressing to change into her sleepwear. She'd toss the clothes onto the pile of clothes that had fell out the basket then walked to the draws in her room. As it opened she only had a pj top and no bottoms. "Note to self... Washing really needs doing." Celty continued to put the top on and collected her long purple dressing gown in the way out of her room back to where her chair was past the mess in her ship. Her knees would tuck under her as she sat on the chair leaning to one side. The upload was only sixty percent. She opened up a channel with john once again but this time no image from her end due to the apperal. "It's almost done. The upload will finish in the next twenty, thirty minutes. After that we can hijack com's. Don't ask me how well it will work against military tech but we may get some stuff if any big boys come storming in. Also I don't suppose I could ask a favor do you? Nothing bad I promise."

"Sounds like a plan. Let me dock with you, we can offer you a place to wait and some company while we tow you in if you'd like." He responded.

Then he brought the Aurora in and began docking procedures with Zesiro's ship.

"Looks like we'll have some company. I'll go meet her at the hatch." Janta said, then the tall woman stood and moved out of the cockpit. After a few minutes of careful work, they were docked, and Janta unlocked the hatch, ready for the mysterious woman to come aboard.

Keric, in the meantime, secured the ships together with a tractor beam, then slowly began to navigate their way in system.

Zesiro shut the shuttles engines off, they weren't doing any good anyway. The sparks subsided as the power drained. Soon enough she heard the sounds of the other ship locking on and clamping together.

Grabbing her bag of belonging to take aboard Captain Dynt's ship, she waited at the door for the green light to open it. When it came on, Zesiro opened the hatch to see Janta waiting for her. Leaving the shuttle, she stepped onto the other ship.

"Thank you for stopping again."

Her movements were natural, but she was not trying to flaunt her assets to the woman.

"It was a lonely trip anyway."

She gave Janta a small smile and held out a hand to shake.

"I said my name earlier over the comms. I'm Zesiro."

John Ash

Only by Fire do we become Ash.
The speech was finally over and everything that needed to be said had been. This was the part were most people assumed that John would just kick back and relax as everything was progressed, but that was never an option for those in positions of authority. As soon as he got behind the curtain he had a message from his employee Celty up in orbit. He took it and listened to what she had to say. The upload was almost complete it seemed. Good. She even mentioned it might be able to pick up the coms from any of the passing ships through the system. Better. But then she asked him for a favor, which got a slight frown out of him. Favors were never good things to owe to someone else or to even to do for someone else. One side always seemed to get screwed over in the deal and it was always hard to know which side of that you would be on. He knew this but it didn't change the situation any. He got onto his com and said to her, " Make it quick. Things are about to get busy."

John left it off there and moved over to the table with a holopad on top of it and a chair next to it. This had been set up for him so that he could work before and after the speech if he needed to, and he always needed to be doing something. He sat down and picked up the holopad. The inventory for the cargo frigates was scrolling down the screen slowly. He began to read it to make sure no durasteel beam, no bag of duracrete mix, no cable, and no crate of any number of building goods was missing. There was going to need to be a massive construction project soon and every last supply was going to be invaluable to getting it completed. That was if it could ever truly be completed. He just kept on reading as he waited for Celty to say her peace and Blackwall handled the civilians and guests with the other employees.

This pii system had lots and lots of potential for good business, her freighter exited hyper as she looked to the holo projector, she rubbed her chin as she listened and turned to her crew as she gave a smile

sent a message to this John ash tell him that adal armina wishes to speak with him on a business deal

A message was sent right to him as she waited, the message read in a polite business tone

[Greetings mr ash, I am miss armina I own a freighter company and was interested in seeing if you could use another a ship, maybe more. If so contact me back and we shall discuss business]

With that she sat back waiting, maybe if not him others here would take her up later
