OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Nano-Missile Launcher
  • Size: Very Small
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Ammunition Type:
  • Ammunition Capacity: Very Small (10 Nano-Missiles Total)
  • Effective Range: Personal-Average [Dependent on Payload]
  • Rate of Fire: Very High
  • Damage Output: None [Dependent on Payload]
  • Recoil: Low
  • Notice: Intentionally Underpowered due to lack of Ammunition. Hoping to post subs on them later!
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • IR Suppressor, to keep excess heat generated from the missiles from being detectable.
  • Specially designed for the 'Servitor' Class Vambrace, and blends in well with it. As such, it can also link to any attached systems and utilize those for targeting and lock-on. It's designed to take on larger crowds of individuals.
  • Wraps around the wrist, and fires in machinegun-like firing mechanism.
  • Able to differentiate between and select loaded ammunition for what to fire next by cycling it around to do so.
STRENGTHS
  • Discrete: Its small frame makes it especially suitable for concealment with the right clothing, not to mention it cannot be detected by scanners.
  • Versatile: As with physical projectiles in general, a host of options exist to turn a battle into one's favor, from blinding to freezing to outright destructive options.
  • Suppressive Fire: With a very high firing rate, it's able to let loose its armament in an impressive amount of time, typically overwhelming and surprising individuals and defenses. In conjunction with proper detection systems, it can lock onto up to 10 targets at a time - it's ammunition limit - or select a single person to mete out doomsday.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ion/EMP: Even with all the added protections against ionic and EMP weaponry, a heavily sustained assault could still make it falter. Such weapons are by nature, anti-technology.
  • Manual Reload: After usage, each Nano-missile has to be individually loaded into the magazine's internal magazine. With practice, it can be second-nature to do, but to do so in the midst of a fight is another story.
  • External Systems: To use this in any substantial capacity, it is necessary to connect it to outside sensors at the very least.
  • Fuel Limits: Smaller than most other rockets or missiles, Nano-Missiles can't store that much fuel to keep themselves moving forwards. Thus, they are unlikely to travel especially great distances compared to other things such as Micro-Missiles. Could probably get that sniper in the building on the other side of town, though.
DESCRIPTION

"You can't take away someone's missiles and expect them not to add back missiles."
- Samuel joking to Ela regarding the vambraces.

Micro-missile launchers are traditionally Mandalorian weapons. Samuel used to have one in his old armor, though admittedly he seldom used it when he mostly took care of fights with his primary and secondary weapon. However, after the transition, he felt re-adding it was a must to the vambraces. The reasoning for this, mostly, was to deal with larger threats warranting their use - namely groups of opponents that would occasionally attempt to hold up the cantina in rag-tag bands of pirates. Micro-missiles would not comfortably fit into the sleeve of a suit, so the usage of Nano-missiles, projectiles about the same size as a blaster bolt, were opted for instead. To say the least, there were a lot of corpses with large chunks missing from them.

Designed to be built into the Servitor Class Vambrace as a hallmark attachment, it was Samuel's most used sidearm if he was ever overwhelmed by an opposing force. A notable situation was a shootout between a Crime Lord and their goons - in which 4 of them went down in one volley and the rest took off.

As they are still fairly small, some missiles may struggle more with piercing tougher armor compared to others. They also contain less fuel to keep them going, and thus are unlikely to span especially great distances. After a volley is fired, it can be a bit painstaking to reload, especially if you're under fire. It's designed to practically clear rooms of hostiles in a moment's notice, so it may be wise to choose when to let loose.
