SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Heavy firepower. Idea for dealing with foes who have bases under the sea - and who draw many of their members from aquatic species such as Mon Calamari. Rather than futilely bomb them from the surface, the submarine can fire fires torpedoes loaded with toxins to poison the water in order to resolve matters. It can also be used against conventional ships and subs with normal torpedoes, while having mass driver deck guns and AA weapons for surface use or protection against air strikes. Harpoon launchers give it some ability to target frogmen and the like, though small scale and individual attacks nonetheless still represent a vulnerability.
  • Well-armoured for a vessel of its type.
WEAKNESSES
  • While well-armed overall, it lacks ballistic missiles for striking land targets.
  • Cannot fire deck guns underwater.
  • Limited firing arc for torpedoes.
DESCRIPTION

The Bringer of Benthic Purity Against the Disharmonious Nauticals is a blessed instrument in the struggle against Heresy and its Manifold Evils. In a world that has been consumed by darkness, the Dominion of Light is the sole guardian of order, and the purity of the Light. The treasonous Republican Guard has been misled by false prophets and the evil Yuuzhan Vong. Sadly, the sirens have swayed many of the Mon Calamari, Gungans and Nautolans.

Through their terrorist actions against the Dominion, these extremists only perpetuate the cycle of violence that has brought so much misery to Tephrike, thereby preventing the people from uniting in the common struggle against the genocidal, human supremacist Vaderites. They have even allied with the depraved Firemane Star-Sithspawn, who launched an unprovoked, criminal attack on Nexus City, murdering thousands of civilians. As we bury the innocent Younglings who were cruelly slaughtered by them at the Battle of the Martyr Fortress Purity and clear away the rubble many civilians are trapped in, we are once again reminded of the depths of their depravity.

But the Dominion's leaders have the strength and the willpower to see this struggle through, no matter the cost. Many of the habitats of the treasonous rebels are located underwater. The cowardly renegades hide among civilians and conduct terrorist attacks. It is difficult to access these areas, not the least because they are often infested with sea monsters. Bombing their underwater bases from the sky is often futile.

But the seas will not be safe havens for them. The Bringer of Purity will deliver justice to them, wherever they may lurk. The Bringer can be equipped with normal torpedoes to destroy their ships and submersibles, but also with torpedoes loaded with toxins to poison the waterways. This is never an easy decision to make. It is well-known that clearing such pollutants underwater is is difficult. But sometimes it is better that a hundred innocent souls perish than one evildoer be allowed to go free. For their souls will become one with the Force. Ashla will know its own. Furthermore, the Bringer is armed with mass drivers and AA guns.

To command and serve on such a vessel is a privilege. Only the most reliable servants of Ashla can be chosen for such a task. Life aboard is far from easy. The quarters and hallways are cramped, and the crew require significant technical expertise. Recruits must pass intense tests and evaluations of their mental fortitude and spiritual purity to ensure they can be entrusted with this task. Not to mention the feeling of isolation that comes with serving a tour on a submarine. Life is orderly and defined by a strict schedule - sleeping, keeping watch, free time.

High command has ruled that crews shall not be punished for referring to their bunks as coffins, as it has been determined that it is a way to relieve stress rather than doubleplusungood. The captain and the confessor alone receive a cabin. This is not a sign of right-deviationist, crypto-capitalist individualism, but a necessity since it doubles as an office space. Both are located near the submarine's control room, which is the command centre. The rest of the senior command staff have to share. The other sailors are bunked together in order to strengthen cohesion and togetherness.

However, each Bringer of Purity is equipped with amenities. Each vessel comes equipped with a small gym, enabling people to maintain the fitness their service requires. Moreover, the mess hall is a multipurpose communal area, allowing people to play games, watch holovids, listen to wholesome music and attend inspiring lectures from the Confessor assigned to each vessel. Every crew member of a Bringer is part of a great chain that can only function if all do their part. In spite of the confined conditions, the kitchen is comparatively large. Fresh food obviously does not last particularly long, which is why much of the food is made up of non-perishables.
