STRENGTHS​

• Nourishing: Mandalorian cooking in general is very nourishing, providing more than adequate nutrients and calories for a highly active lifestyle.
• Morale Boost: Eating traditional food prepared using traditional ingredients and recipes does tend to provide a morale boost.

WEAKNESSES​

• Out of Power: Once out of power, the shelf stability of most of the contents of the ration pack exponentially decreases.
• Shelf Life: Relative to most other rations, the shelf life of the 'Skraan' ration pack is considerably shorter.

DESCRIPTION​

What more or less started as an informal method of keeping troops fed by naval personnel of troop ferrying ships became a more formalized ordered production of rations by said ship crews as a program by the company. The rations are designed to last for about a year. Rather than serve as long term rations, they're meant to function as a lasting method of conveying food in a hygienic and safe manner. The use of these 'medium' term shelf stable ration packs is to provide company troops with a sumptuous meal that was as close to homecooked as possible. Troops choose a warm beverage and meal choices via a shipboard request form that stays up to date on what options are available based on stocks, the food is then prepared on ship with packaging material fabricated on board as well, packaged and provided to the troops as they deploy.​
