  • Primary Source: 'Shev'la Gteditr' Rocket Pack.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Integrated Inertial Dampener: Because of the nigh-on true flight capabilities that the pack offers
  • Sound Baffling & Auditory Dampener: Both sound bafflers and auditory dampeners mean that the jetpack is very quiet, and is usually able to be dismissed as various background noises that exist in an urban environment. In rural areas, this is more of a problem.
  • IR Suppressor Baffled Thrust Manifolds: The exhaust manifolds cool the exhaust gasses, resulting in a lower IR sensor profile. On planets with high temperatures, this feature is automatically disabled.
  • Gyro Stabilized Flight: A gyrostabilizer automatically monitors thrust output and keeps the wearer from spinning out of control, correcting with the repulsor if necessary. Careless flight will result in a diminished stealth profile.
  • Repulsor Flight Systems: In a gravity well, the repulsor pack part of the unit does most of the actual flying, with major vertical and horizontal thrust being provided by the rocket pack.
  • Emergency Repulsor System: Should fuel cut out, the pack's flight computer will engage the emergency repulsor system using the emergency backup power cell (or use the main power feed if its still connected and active) to allow the user a safe descent.
  • Vectored Flight: The multiple rocket thrusters allow for extremely maneuverable flight by offering full three dimensional thrust vectoring.
  • Hover Mode :
    • Rocket Thrusters: The maneuvering thrusters can operate on low power pulse mode to allow the pilot to hover.
    • Repulsors: As long as the pack has power and there is local gravity for the in-built repulsor to work with, the unit can hover in place, though doing so will greatly diminish the unit's stealth profile.
  • Emergency Backup Power Cell (30 minute operating time)
  • Range (rocket pack portion): 10 kilometers/100 charges
    • Speed: 220 km/h (depending on how laden the pack is, higher speeds possible with personal deflector shields)
    • Maneuverability (rocket pack portion):
      • Maneuvering Thrusters (each):
        • Up to 160m vertically (1 charge)
        • Up to 80m horizontally (1 charge)
      • Main Thrusters:
        • Up to 320m vertically (1 charge)
        • Up to 160m horizontally (1 charge)
STRENGTHS
  • Long Endurance: The pack boasts an extremely high fuel capacity, allowing for extended flights and an absolutely massive range of ten galactic standard kilometers.
  • Stealthy: The rocket pack has a good stealth profile, featuring IR stealth and a reflec coating.
  • Resilient: The rocket pack is made using resilient lightweight materials, allowing it to take a considerable amount of damage from a variety of sources before it's functions are compromised.
  • Enhanced Mobility: The rocket pack features excellent maneuverability and speed, and offers smooth, stable flight.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy: The pack is quite heavy both because of the fuel capacity and the multiple thrusters, this means the user will be weighed down by the pack and will need to exhibit notable strength and endurance notably above that of most veteran soldiers to be able to avoid being weighed down by the pack in a fight.
  • Awkward Configuration: Most organics aren't used to fighting with a pair of thrusters attached to their legs and back as well as a larger pair mounted on their back. This can make things awkward when fighting in close quarters, especially.
  • Vulnerable to EMP/Ion Weapons: Naturally, being reliant on complex electronics, the rocket pack is vulnerable to EMP/Ion weapons. A single strong bolt or blast will be all that it takes to disable main flight functions, kicking in the emergency systems. Breshig War Forge Consolidated has noted rare cases where particularly powerful EMP/Ion weapons have disabled even the emergency systems and caused the operator to plummet toward the ground, often to their death or grievous injury.
  • Power Needed: The rocket pack doesn't come with its own main power supply, only a backup, and requires access to an armor's integrated power supply unit to function optimally.
DESCRIPTION
"You'd have to be a little dini'la to want to put that on your beskar'gam, but let's be perfectly honest, that's a prerequisite for being a sen'tra situyr anyway."
- Breshig War Forge Consolidated CEO Shuklaar Kyrdol about the Shev'la Ori'gtedir.
The Shev'la Ori'gtedir is a development of the company's Shev'la Gtedir rocket pack initially intended for sole use on the company's Gar'verd Infantry Droid project. Initially, the pack was deemed too heavy to be put on the market, but when Strill Securities personnel and a few notable customers began asking about an armor mountable version, the company decided to produce a version that could be armor mounted. The Shev'la Ori'gtedir is in every way the bigger brother of the Shev'la Gtedir, it is significantly more powerful and also takes up a lot more space, which usually results in rammikade who know the value of Ysalamiri Birikad in the force user saturated galaxy picking the smaller Shev'la Gtedir, but those who appreciate the nigh-on true flight capabilities of the larger Ori'gtedir usually don't let its stop them.
Compared to the older Shev'la Gtedir, the Ori'gtedir is considerably faster, more maneuverable and has a much longer range. The same can be said when compared to more than a few of the other offerings on the market. In addition, it is notably resilient just like the smaller model, featuring considerable ability to take damage from a wide variety of weapons used on the battlefield. As large as it is, the pack still has a good stealth profile, featuring IR stealth and a reflec coating. To cope with the considerable speeds that the pack is capable of reaching and maintaining, an inertial dampener was included, though skilled piloting will be the only thing that saves the operator from a messy death at those speeds.
This does all come at a cost. The pack as noted, is heavy. Fuel, thrusters and armor weigh the user down to the point that those without conditioning beyond that of most veteran soldiers will likely be weighted down by the pack to a significant degree in a fight. Most organics aren't used to fighting with a pair of thrusters attached to their legs and back as well as a larger pair mounted on their back. This can make things awkward when fighting in close quarters, especially. Naturally, being reliant on complex electronics, the rocket pack is vulnerable to EMP/Ion weapons. Finally, the rocket pack was designed to be mounted to a droid, and then modified for use with armor, it does not contain its own power supply and requires connection to a dedicated power supply, preferably an armor's integrated power supply unit, to function.
