DESCRIPTION
The benefit of protective armor made from advanced composites and advanced alloys is that they can stop a staggering amount of damage that the user might encounter on the battlefield. The unfortunate truth, however, is that that user underneath the armor isn't nearly as resilient. Many threats that the armor can theoretically stop can still kill the user or render them unconscious. That was the issue that Breshig War Forge was trying to solve.
Strill Securities medical personnel frequently encountered personnel whose injuries could have been healed and resuscitated or personnel who were rendered unconscious by blast waves and the like and then sustained more injuries while unconscious and so the company sought a solution for this from their parent company. So it was that Breshig War Forge developed a serum that would revive unconscious or recently dead users, provided the injuries that had rendered them as such had been healed. Given the company's armor-integrated med suite and cybernetics that could easily do this, the combination of the serum, the med suite and the cybernetics were seen as the solution to this particular problem.
There were a few downsides, however. Patients who have had critical portions of their brains destroyed cannot be revived using this serum. Patients whose injuries have not or cannot be healed will find themselves returned to their previous states in short order. For the first hour after the patient has been revived they experience a notable loss of coordination and are noted as having difficulty recollecting and committing new information to memory. Finally, multiple doses within an hour will kill most humanoid and non-humanoid patients. The exact number of doses can vary from species to species and patient to patient, however.
