SPECIAL FEATURES

• Automated Damage Control: Automated repair rigs fitted with the 'Gar'mirshe'ika'-R Droid Brain and a modified version of the Maintenance and Repair Memory Module and outfitted in the same manner as BMD-01MR 'Vhe'viin' Battlefield Mechanic Droid are installed throughout the ship. These modules are capable of limited movement, and mostly exist to aid organic and inorganic crew members with repair. They fold into specialized lockers when not in use.
• Diagnostic Suite Link: The system links with systems that feature diagnostic suites and track malfunctions and damage using said link.
• Sensor and Scanner Net: The system has a number of sensors and scanners installed across the mounting platform to track maintenance issues and damage. These sensors and scanners are ruggedized and hardened to damage, allowing them to survive to report the damage sustained to the area and components they monitor.
• Spare Parts Store: w/ Onboard Manufactory Link There are critical spare parts stored for organic and droid repair personnel to make use of along with a link to onboard manufacturing systems to be able to keep the inventory well-stocked.
• Diagnostic Link: The system can link with any other maintenance and damage control systems and operate as part of a larger damage control system or handle damage control tasking on its own and merely interface with other systems. This can also link to hangar or vehicle bay repair systems to provide additional information such as required spare parts for damaged systems and the like.
• Damage Control Center: When the system detects damage it checks the location and picks one of the repair droids or organic personnel synced to its maintenance comm net and dispatches them. If there are multiple sources of damage, it will assign those repair tasks that are closest to each other, splitting the tasks between the droids or organic personnel connected to the system.   • Hardware: The Bes'jah'ad's powerful cluster of heuristic processors allow for vast quantities of data to be easily processed translating raw data to actionable information at an extremely rapid rate. The processors are learning machines and 'learn' how to process data patterns faster and more effectively the longer they are exposed to them.

STRENGTHS

• Coordinated, Informed Repairs and Maintenance: The system detects maintenance issues and damage and coordinates and monitors the maintenance and repair process, allowing for such procedures to be carried out in an efficient manner even in difficult conditions.
• Resilient: The system is designed to not only operate in combat conditions, but also to be able to survive the damage that might be sustained by the areas of the platform that they monitor.
• Additional Security: The automated repair rigs are armed and can attack intruders should any stray within their reach. They more or less function as semi-rigid defense platforms.

WEAKNESSES

• No One Left: Without the droids, automated repair rigs or organic personnel to coordinate, the system is unable to coordinate any manner of repairs or maintenance.
• No Spares: Certain components require specially fabricated spare parts and only so many spares can be stored.
• Repair Personnel Dependent: The system is only as capable as the organic or droid personnel under its tasking.

DESCRIPTION

The 'Bes'jah'ad' Damage Control System or Iron Doctor in galactic standard basic is the scaled up larger version of the 'Bes'jah'ad'ika' damage control suite. The big difference between the two versions is the automated repair rigs and the link to onboard manufacturing systems to produce additional spare parts. These semi-mobile repair rigs fold out of the way when not in use and provide additional security should any intruders stray within their reach. Given the prevalence of the rigs, such a scenario is quite likely. Of course, tthe system does have the same flaws as its smaller scale version, but this hasn't stopped the company-wide adoption of both this device and its smaller scale counterpart.
