Vyxen only became aware of the bomb moments before the explosion, she had been paying attention to the area before her. There was an intersection ahead, and she was inching closer to it when the droid exploded. In her startlement, instinct took over and she accidentally cloaked herself for a moment. Her lack of training in the Force was a distinct downside, having only recently realized she could access the fabled omni-present field. She willed herself visible, and only hoped neither her startled power usage, nor her embarrassed flush were visible. She was acutely aware that her life may well have been saved by the agents with actual training in the Force, as she hadn't felt heat or pressure from the explosion.

Not wanting to look behind until the heat from her face went away, she crept toward the intersection and crouched. Her ears rang slightly from the explosion, but she felt the floor vibrate slightly as heavy treads moved nearby, likely drawn by the explosion she assumed.

Now would be a good time to be invisible... She thought to herself for a moment, before relaying in concise hand signals behind her that someone was coming.

She noted the hallway to the right of the maintenance hall wasn't occupied, and the steps, she could barely hear them now, seemed to be coming from the left. Above her there was a vent, likely to the ventilation system.

Without spending time to second guess, she turned down the right hallway, her eyes roving for any security devices. She found a door on her right, that would lead to a room adjacent to the maintenance hallway she'd just vacated, and a second door a little ways down on the left, the wall that was opposite the entry to the maintenance shaft. She moved to the left hand door, but it seemed locked. Thinking quickly, she pulled the mini computer spike from the chronometer, and slid it into a universal port on the bottom of the keypad. She tapped her glasses, and began slicing the doorway open, hoping to have a way for her fellow infiltrators to go by the time they got this far.

Nyx stepped forward, but found Celiana already in motion. It had seemed prudent for the one with the most armor present to cover the explosive and dampen its effect on the organics present. However, having seen the Jedi at work the droid admitted that had been the better option. Certainly better than the woman absorbing the blast with her own body. Though it was unfortunate that the sound of not only the explosion, but Celiana's reflection of it carried considerable sound. Complications came with the job.

The droid looked back at the women and man present. Her lifted one hand, pointed to the left, and mimed movement from left to right. Caitlin slipped down to the right, which prompted Nyx to move up to the corner and survey the approach visually. Provided it was clear, she made to knife hand in the direction the woman had gone. They weren't obligated to follow, but the vent was out of the question. Even though she could reach with the repulsors her chassis in a confined environment would make far too much noise.

Caitlin was certain to have the door opened by the time they arrived. Nyx would make her way inside to avoid detection and check if others would follow. If need be, the droid could physically hold the door shut if the patrol decided to unlock and sweep every room. Hopefully a 'jammed' door would pass muster if it did come to that.

Her ears rang, luckily not damaged by the blast, but being second closest to it and not prepared had its downfalls. Without time to react Tess had tripped over herself and fallen on her rear as Celiana had stepped to intercept the blast. As she turned to stand and move with the others everything was muffled, if anyone had been speaking she couldn't tell, but the hand gestures were enough communication to know she needed to move. As she reached the door she reached into one of the pouches attached to her belt, pulled out a suppressor, and attached it to her SMG while changing it to single fire. Following the droid, Nyx, into the room Tess quickly swept for any personnel or droids, specially mice. After finding it all clear, with an assortment of crates and a rather large work bench on the right wall she moved to the opposite wall she had entered in and saw that the door there was locked as well.

She then looked up at the ceiling, not terribly high, if she stood on a box she could probably touch it with her fingertips. But what she wanted to find was the singular vent located in the center of the ceiling. Not the perfect spot for one, but it might suffice if needed. Tess then sat on a nearby crate and listened to her racing heartbeat in her ears and the muffled noises around her, all while watching the locked door. She hoped nobody unlocked the door from the other side, or maybe that would be a good thing. Someone with some information perhaps? Someone they could take alive and question. Just not another mouse droid, she already despised the live things, and now to make her worry about the inanimate ones too?

Tess glanced to see who else had entered the room, she had followed Nyx in here, and was sure caitlin wouldn't have been far behind, she couldn't trust her ears at the moment so her eyes had to work double-time to compensate. She opened her mouth a little to try to equalize the pressure on her poor eardrums, but that only helped a little as she apprehensively watched her door.

Nighthaunter had been in an advanced position when he heard the loud click, and then Scherezade scream "bomb!". He immediately leaped backwards from the origin of the bomb expecting the blast to catch him, but hoping that he would be far enough away from any shrapnel that could fly out of the tiny little droid. This was when the woman, who he had recognized as the silver jedi threw up some kind of force shield around the strike team of birds, when he landed on the ground he had fully been expecting to have been pulling bits of scrap metal out of his legs and bandaging himself up. Instead, he found that he was left completely untouched by the explosion and that the team of birds had rallied around the force user.

He immediately popped up from lying on the ground and pulled out his pistol fully expecting there to be some form of firefight fairly shortly as that explosion surely must have alerted who was ever on board to there position. Seeing nobody he remained crouched down and looking forward his pistol aimed at the turning in the hallway at the intersection. This was as he watched Nyx and Tess enter a room ahead of them, he decided to remain a bit more conservative with his approach rather than pressing on he stayed put waiting.

He looked at Scherezade,

"So boss they obviously must know we are here... what's the plan?" He asked through his filtered helmet, his voice coming out distorted and deep.

Fortunately it didn't take long for him to recover after the explosion, so she was ready to continue. However Ingrid this time don’t run forward, they needed tactic. It seemed to her, whosoever owned this station is prepared. They need to be more careful. She knows if the enemy attacked them with droids again everything will be more difficult, but if the enemy are living people the Force sensitive companions are the most helpful.

”I think who can use Force should go first. They can explorer the place more than the others. If the enemy attack us with living people and not droids, they can beware us just in time. But if you want to send scout onward it’s ok for me. Otherwise I’ll cover ourselves” she replied to [member="Nighthaunter"]’s words.

After this she was waiting the other’s answer. She wasn't the highest rank agent here; her words were maximum advice not more. However one thing was certain they need act quickly or they will have the same fate as the other team…

They tripped.

Disappearing into the side room was simple for the birds, but some didn't move fast enough. Indecision was paralyzing, and it was doubtless that even a moment's pause could jeopardize the mission of the Ministry's operatives. A break, a pause, even for a moment was devastating.

Those in the maintenance hall heard the guards approach. Three, walking in tandem at first, but as they arrived at the scene of the explosion there was a pause before they scuttled over towards the broken door and scattered debris.

"What the hell?" "Must've been one of the droids..." "There's no way it's intruders. Like, this station's-"

"Wait, remember what command said?"

Pause.

It seemed as if the guards had reset to their previous 'relaxed' states. "We should call in one of the maintenance crews. Yeah?" "Yeah." The footsteps began once more, but this time they faded into the distance. It seemed the threat had passed...

But was it a blessing, or a curse?
