Sorry man but I'm gone, if you post I'm not posting back. Matsu didn't post back for a bit after I moved downstairs so we just hand waved it and started a new thread. But I think Suka is gonna put up a quick post for continuity sakes, thanks for all the fun though
And you're too childish to RP with. You can insult me all you want, but only a logical argumemt is going to make your position noteworthy.
I don't even care if your click like army gives you support and I don't care if one man once said you're respectable. I've seen your work and I don't think highly of it, to say the least.

Huh. It would've been nice if you guys had the courtesy to actually finish the thread, instead of just bailing, then hand waiving it so an injured person was able to sneak past an army of Sith.
If your issue of god modding with another player is between you and that player, then I ask that you keep it there. My issue with what I perceive to be god moddimg, however, impacts the political painting of two factions. The mix of treating people like cattle, yet claiming you're the good guys is fraying my nerves. NPC flavoring is cool, but this bandwagon for Dave is filled with inconsistencies.
I would just like to reiterate that the One Sith did not ask for this skirmish. It was a surprise skirmish, and we played along.
As with all skirmishes, IC consequences are a result, including the use of propaganda. If the Rebel Alliance did not want IC consequences like propaganda, then perhaps they should not have initiated the skirmish.

Typical One Sith thinking. "Let's use one man's death as an excuse to wreak extreme chaos and vengeance on many people!" Rebels aren't born, they're made. Your plan to wreak havoc on "unborn" rebels will only become a self-fulfilling prophecy for more rebels to join up.
I know that it's propaganda. I know the Sith are evil and that they're trying to be crafty. However, I want to see smart and crafty. They need to accept and work with the consequences that paint them in a light that you can't simply propagate against...Now that I think about it, the shield going up could be written off as an accident, but that doesn't mean that it won't be a popular black mark to be noted by everyone on the planet.
You need a justice system in place or else there will just be chaos. I want to see honeycombing from the Sith, not senseless homicide. All I wanted was ro do my job, not get my innards Force molested by Laura.
Listen man I'm sure you have better things to do than to complain about a fictional universe roleplay. I had fun writing with Matsu, they were a blast to RP with and that's what matters. That you have fun.
This isn't about winning or losing, this isn't about throwing X amount of NPCs at a person to capture them. It's about HAVING FUN. And if you don't have fun then what's the point? Relax with it man, you'll stress yourself out over nothing
Alright. I've been doing a lot of thinking throughout the day and I've come to a conclusion that's more detached from my self-interests. First and foremost, I have come to realize that you are all right about one thing: We cannot forget about Dave. Corey was well within her rights to RP such a happening, even if circumstances were stretched. We've all stretched circumstances to tell a story.

I accept consequences, but I want everyone else to accept consequences as well. I left that thread because there was a serious logical conundrum at hand. Either a legal system existed and I could do my job or "justice" was dispatched without a legal system and there was no reason for me to be there at all. You went with the latter, so I went with that attached consequence.

What I'm trying to say is that "Violence begets violence." Any officer should know that. Maybe you were just doing a bit of an IC impressionism, but then it went (Whoosh!) right over my head since this is OOC.

I was pointing out Corey (If that's what you mean) because it was his/her work. I wasn't trying to say THIS IS ALL HIS/HER'S FAULT! BURN THE WITCH!

I was simply mentioning his/her work.
It's frustrating that details are missed and stuff is brushed aside, but this thread turned uber complicated with the amount of people who weighed in on it. I mean, 100+ posts is a lot for a "simple objective" skirmish.

Your insult post still qualifies as douche baggery, but I'm willing to forgive you and move on for the sake of peace.

I see you're a fan of the strawman argument. I didn't say it was about any of those things. My gripe is that a lot of people put time and effort into writing these role plays, and you just hand waved it all away, bailed on the thread, and then you guys put out a lazy roleplay, where you magic'd yourself into escaping. It's rude and disrespectful to everyone who put time and effort into that thread.

I am all for dynamic and impulsive stories. A big fan of them in fact! I also want to say I had a lot of fun in this skirmish! I enjoyed writing with both of my dueling partners [member="Juwiela Melec"] [member="Marcus Foster"]. Thank you for taking the time to write with me.
But I think a lot of the pandemonium in this Skirm could have been prevented by more upfront planning ahead of time. For example, limiting player participation, agreeing on defenses and outlining objectives to take out defenses. Also agreeing on the final outcome, but loose enough that players could still choose their own individual outcomes. Just an opinion and an observation.
Dogfighting with [member="Setzi Lunelle"] is the first actual pilot vs pilot PvP I've had on the site, and I have to say that it was fun to write, so thank you for a good time.

Hey man, I have no hard feelings. I was just playing my character, and my character feels he is above the law. The legal system is not Sage's area of expertise. He just beats on things. I didn't have a problem with you leaving the skirmish if that's what you wanted to do. I still had fun writing with you either way.
I'm sorry. I should have asked before going off on a tangent.

I like and liked RPing with you too, Laura. I understand the personality, but it was really stressful when I was receiving out-of-the-gate, upfront aggression for a neutral story angle I was trying to spin with a fresh character. I was considering rolling with it, but I couldn't because of the logic. I didn't previously know how the OS government works. I assumed that public law and order of some degree would have to be a thing for any government.
Technically there are courts and regional judicial systems, but that has not been touched on in-depth very much in roleplay as most of time we either go about our own personal RPs, conquer, or react to attacks on our state.
Then again each Hand and Voice has their own authority to bypass the judicial system to mete out their own 'justice', hence why the Sith government is inherently corrupt in the Sith's favor.
