A retreat in the inner sanctum of the most guarded bastion in the Galaxy. The Echani Empress-Consort smirked, although their husband was much less of a hovering bird when it came to Gunnr now than in their earlier days, the evidence of his dotage remained. None got to her without layers of security. Those who did receive such access were stringently watched, even though the Empress-Consort and Seneschal was beyond capable of battling for herself. Yet, the more Ahani looked at her sister-wife, the more she felt confident the capacity to fight was not enough to dictate letting a wounded soldier go back to war. Gunnr was in possession of the ferocious love of her family, and much needed rest. Yet.. wasn't it time to give her the smallest of pushes?
Sprawled out on a cushion made for her Epicanthix size, the ginger-haired beauty rearranged the fabric of her yellow dress with a winsome hand. Ahani could feel the relaxation of the bubbling spring beside Gunnr, the soft echo of music from minstrels further off behind unseeing reverberant walls.
