The Ala Quin galactic pilgrimage continued on to a world that she had previously visited and thoroughly fallen in love. Naboo was one of those planets that got you so accustomed to beauty that you needed to be careful to not stop being in awe. For Ala, that wasn't super hard. Awe was one of her preset states. On her fourth day out in the wilderness of Naboo, she had left her camp site and set out on the small canoe hired from a local some ten kilometers south. Her path had taken her into a fiord on the eastern stretch of the Gallo Mountains. As she entered the gapping maw she turned back to watch the sun rising, and the light shooting through the gap to the lake beyond.
The warm glow of the sun light met Ala's smiling gaze. Despite her lack of direction, or solid footing in a place or group, Ala found the travel and exploration of the galaxy to be a reward worth savouring. She felt completely free to be, well, Ala. Helping those she met that needed her. Moving on when she was done helping, or felt it of greater help for those present to fend for themselves. It was the same for the sight seeing. Sometimes she reached a point where the pull of seeing a different place was greater than the pull to stay. She never wanted to leave any place she loved, not really.
But...she noted...the sun wasn't warming her quite as she thought it would.
There is something. Cold here.
It seemed a self-evident statement. The water was straight from the mountain streams and waterfalls that cascaded down the sides of the fiord's walls. The water was cold. But she wasn't in the water.
There was something else here.
The petite Jedi stood to her feet, the canoe rocking slightly with her quick change in position. Hand resting on her loansaber's hilt, she cast her eyes down...into the water itself.
Not something. Some...one.
