Duel Bombad Bungle - [ISAQs1]

The Ala Quin galactic pilgrimage continued on to a world that she had previously visited and thoroughly fallen in love. Naboo was one of those planets that got you so accustomed to beauty that you needed to be careful to not stop being in awe. For Ala, that wasn't super hard. Awe was one of her preset states. On her fourth day out in the wilderness of Naboo, she had left her camp site and set out on the small canoe hired from a local some ten kilometers south. Her path had taken her into a fiord on the eastern stretch of the Gallo Mountains. As she entered the gapping maw she turned back to watch the sun rising, and the light shooting through the gap to the lake beyond.

The warm glow of the sun light met Ala's smiling gaze. Despite her lack of direction, or solid footing in a place or group, Ala found the travel and exploration of the galaxy to be a reward worth savouring. She felt completely free to be, well, Ala. Helping those she met that needed her. Moving on when she was done helping, or felt it of greater help for those present to fend for themselves. It was the same for the sight seeing. Sometimes she reached a point where the pull of seeing a different place was greater than the pull to stay. She never wanted to leave any place she loved, not really.

But...she noted...the sun wasn't warming her quite as she thought it would.

There is something. Cold here.

It seemed a self-evident statement. The water was straight from the mountain streams and waterfalls that cascaded down the sides of the fiord's walls. The water was cold. But she wasn't in the water.

There was something else here.

The petite Jedi stood to her feet, the canoe rocking slightly with her quick change in position. Hand resting on her loansaber's hilt, she cast her eyes down...into the water itself.

Not something. Some...one.

Ever since Clan Bink'sa close destruction by the Naboo themselves. Zinn Zinn had carefully managed to slip back into the swamps of Naboo, hiding the sleek Nubian craft he stole. While an antique in itself, Zinn Zinn couldn't leave. Not when he was still testing his powers in the dark side. The Gungan was looking more monstrous with each passing day. His skin becoming a more cracked look, spikes even slowly started to appear. Yet of course Zinn Zinn while showing new alterations in the dark side was still only a Gungan.

Manifesting his powers, testing them on the will of other Gungans, or stray Naboo that managed to cross into the swamps. Soon his experimentations with the power of the Darkness, was soon distracted by the presence of another in the Force. Located somewhere within the Mountains, he had spent days tracking the source. Soon stalking from the shadows, he found out that the source in itself was a woman. He heard stories of aspiring Sith, a rite of passage for them was to kill a Jedi, and take the lightsaber in order to forge a weapon of the Sith. A tradition in which Zinn Zinn would show he was worthy of becoming a Sith.

Reaching out with the Force, he could feel her approaching, watching the canoe float down. Zinn Zinn slowly started to approach the shore, making sure that she could sense him as ell. Watching as she looked around for a threat. The Gungan produced a sickly grin, letting out a cackle across the lake. The cold that she felt all around eminating from him.

He was unarmed, all he had was the experimental use of the Force on his side. The dark side would be the only weapon to win this fight. For if he thought of who it was, a Jedi would be the perfect target. He called out angrily. "Yousa shouldn't be here!! Yousa should have turned back! Now yousa gonna suffer big time."

Look up.

Just before the Gungan spoke, Ala glanced up to lock eyes on him. His threatening demenour was clear, and his intent seemed all to obvious. It was the first time she had met a Gungan, though meeting was a slight misnomer given that he was on shore and she in the middle of the fiord on a small canoe.

Aren't they really good swimmers?

If the answer was yes, Ala was not in a great position of defence. There was really only one thing to do. Get a better position to defend, before she needed to do any defending. Then while that was being accomplished, try and defuse the situation.

"Yousa shouldn't be here!! Yousa should have turned back! Now yousa gonna suffer big time."

The Gungan's words sealed the deal for her. He meant ill. Her right had began to twist and controt, as the water beneath the rear of the canoe began to rise. Bending just her right knee to keep balance, she allowed the Force generated wave to push the canoe down the shoreline a little. It would not be difficult for the Gungan to beat her to that portion of the shore, but at least she was trying.

"I have no qualms with you, my friend," she called out, "we may all leave here glad allies."

His eyes narrowed to the girl, snarling at the being that dared to offer the Gungan an olive branch. He was not here for friends, he was here to show he was worthy to become a Sith. To show that his power was unlike any Gungan had ever wielded before, and to rival many others all around. His fists clenched as he eyed the girl in a menacing way. This was his test, a test of the dark side. After killing the Jedi, and taking her saber he would show how strong he was. Seeing as how she was still at the lake, surrounded by water. His threatening look soon changed to a smirk on his face. If she thought that he wanted to be friends she had another thing coming.

He moved slowly at first, towards the shore and then slowly into the water. His eyes staring intently towards her before he disappeared into the water entirely. She was on the water, in a canoe. It would prove to be an easy advantage for Zinn Zinn to take. Moving swiftly through the water, his feet moved as if it was a dance with the water. Full of elegance and natural skill, it took moments for Zinn Zinn to move from the likes of the shore, all the way to the edge of her canoe. Now it was time to move in for the kill.

He emerged from the water in a flash, he was leaping from the water, his teeth in an angry look, his eyes shining brightly towards her. His arms moved as if to strike. Landing aboard the canoe, he spoke in a yell towards her, full of anger, and yet a bit of humor as if the girl had sealed her own fate. All due to being on the water.

"Yousa fucked up Jedi."

What followed his words, was attempts to punch her in the gut, even using the force to hit her in the head with the oar of the canoe. If such things did not work, he settled for being a full-on savage and attempted to strangle the very life out of her.

She had met her fair share of Sith and Dark Jedi over the years, well over the centuries now. This one had to be one of the more unique ones, for sure. Whilst the boat moved along the crest of the wave that she created with her own focused attention on the water, Ala looked about to assess her options. She just needed to get closer to the shore, or to the cliff, some place that she could climb, jump or run on. The water was more the Gungan's territory and certainly left her in a precarious position.

As the Gungan swam towards her, with a speed that caused some ire for the Jedi, Ala pushed harder, causing the crest of the wave to rise. Timing. Timing would be key.

Moving to the front of the boat, saw it start to dig into the surface of the water and slow her progress. And then, it appeared out of the water. A grotesque, dark side altered creature that was only now Gungan in origin. Ala jumped at the same time that the Sith landed on the other end of the canoe. The sudden change in the weight distribution saw the front where Ala had been standing lift up out of the water.

She landed on the pointed front of the canoe, just as the Gungan's fist hit, and broke through the bottom of the canoe which was now perpendicular to the surface of the water. Her brief contact, foot to the bow of her small vessel gave her just enough to purchase to put herself into a tucked, backwards flip.

A three-point landing into the shallow water just on the shore of the fiord saw Ala's hand and feet in water a couple of inches high. Eyes lifted up, searching for any sign of the crazed Gungan.

"You have destroyed my transportation. I will forgive the inconvenience," she yelled, possibly to no one that could hear, "just leave me in peace."

The mad gungan was oozing pure dark side energy, breaking through the canoe as if it was nothing. His eyes locked upon his foe, the intent to gain control of her weapon was not known. It was hidden. If anything the Gungan would capture the Jedi if need be. With even the attempt of breaking her form of transportation. His intent was still there, he kept moving as if the water was him. Even watching how the Jedi have moved closer to the shore of the Fjord.

When she offered a chance to forgive him. He looked at her, a snarl growing into that of a scowl. No words were spoken at first, except with Zinn Zinn moving across the water, the water was his home, his element. Knowing that she was on his home turf. That was a mistake for her, his rage. His irritation growing. All the weapons he had were his hands and the dark side. He moved, utilizing the Force to increase his speed, the water rippling. Splashing as he moved quickly as if the Gungan himself was walking on water.

"Nosa, Yousa have somthings... Somethings mesa wants, and Mesa will kill you if mesa has too!"

Moving at a quick speed, growling as if an animal closing in his prey, extending his hand out. Using the dark side to his advantage, attempting to launch a violent dark blast of energy towards the Jedi Watchman. Attempting to send her flying from the shore all the way to one of the tall trees. The Acolyte was full of rage, anger, hatred. Untrained yet focused raw power. Attempting to use such novice skills to gain the upper hand. Moving if the attack worked to chase after her onto the shore.

Ala Quin Ala Quin

Her eyes kept locked on the Sith for any potential mischief, but also relizing that he was more likely to go the route of the direct attack. She stayed in the crouched position, unmoving from shallows. His declaration of intent, that she had something he wanted confused her a little. Ala did not know this creature, and she was sure it did not know her beyond this encounter, or the declared time of observation. So whatever she had that it wanted had to be something any Jedi would be carrying.

The lightsaber. Well. That's not going to happen.

When the attack came, Ala decided to go with it. Just before the dark wave of energy hit her, she jumped a little from the ground and was pushed backwards. The darkness resonated around her about causing her skin to crawl. The wave of energy momentarily switched gravity on her leaving her tumbling towards the trees some twenty metres beyond the shore. With a little focus, she balanced out her tumble, before directing herself towards the branchless base of one of the tall deciduous tree.

The impact as she hit the tree trunk in a crouch left her momentarily winded, gasping for breath just briefly, while dropping to the ground.

"Stand down," she called out, "last warning...please do not make me do this."

Igniting her saber's blue blade, Ala set her footing ready to charge directly at the Gungan with a strike upward, cutting through ground then up towards the sky.

Whether the Jedi had sensed the Gungan's intentions or not meant little. He was determined to craft his own weapon, for a weapon of the Sith was not earned but it was taken. Even if it meant that he must go through trial and tribulation to deal with such matters. He was not unworthy of being Sith, he would prove that he had the capability of being one, and that would just happen through the death of the Jedi, by his bare hands. With his attack working, he ran through the water while he was carried by the momentum from the dark side energy.

While she was momentarily stunned by the powerful push of energy towards the trees. Crashing into a tree trunk, Zinn Zinn was ambitious to go for the kill. Yet as he moved to strike, the Jedi was quick to mount some type of counterattack, activating her blade as he approached, giving out a final warning, approaching closer she struck with the ground up to the sky, the amphibious creature shifted from running, into a brisk slide across the ground, the slickness with his skin and the water caused him to momentously slide through the ground, approaching under her as she brought the blade up. Using the force to guide him, drawing upon anger as well as fear.

"Give flashy sword Jedi, Yousa still gonna die, but yousa will give mesa that blade!!"

He said, as only inches from her, he was quick to get up, and while she had her blade raised up, his hands gripped her own. As he moved around trying to catch her off balance, and wrestle the blade from her. Making it difficult for her to steady herself, he drew upon his anger to keep the grip around her hands, trying to move to grab the weapon from her.

As Ala's blade came upwards, the Gungan shot underneath her strike and came up to grasp her hands. His face was a grotesque malformation of the normal Gungan appearance. He was so close to her that water from his face actually sprayed on Ala as he spoke. Her reaction was nothing but stalwart intensity.

His grip on her wrists were pretty firm. And as he demanded the blade, Ala simply tipped her head upwards. "Which flashy sword are you talking about?"

The hilt of the saber was not just deactivated, but completely missing from her hands. Instead it had floated, via the Force to within inches of the small of the Gungan's back. Ala jumped straight up, using the grip of the Gungan as a pivot to lead her to jumping behind him - and with a twitch of her head she flicked the switch on the saber igniting the blade that was directly aimed at the Gungan's back.
