STRENGTHS
- FAST AS A WOMPRAT’S METABOLISM: The Blackstar is not a fighter, not by any means, but for size, the cruiser can move into and between positions quickly, also giving commanders options on how to use her in combat.
- FIGHTER PILOTS AT THE HELM: If a fighter pilot is “grounded” most will often see their “action” by seeking assignment to one of these anti-starfighter ships. The systems are not only similar, but just as responsive.
- (CENSORED) CAPITAL SHIPS!!: Primarily the Blackstar is an Anti-Starighter ship, a tender in a manner of speaking, but she can patrol a sector and hold her own against smaller vessels. Anything dedicated for “ship to ship” combat will require her to have help.
The Blackstar was designed to be an Escort Cruiser that could not only be in a support position but be the type of ship that could draw fire away from the command vessel in the fleet and be fast enough to dodge fire. The speed, the Nightshadow treatment, have their capabilities but are used for defensive purposes only.
