ESCALATION

A single movement: the raising of one hand.

And from a voice almost human, came the words:

TWENTY THOUSAND CREDITS. For the Mandalorian.” Kreg Jare Kreg Jare

No further explanation. No elaboration. No vocal challenge.

The husk returned its hand to its side.
Silent once more. It did not require discovery, lest this imperial recognize the shifting biomass from the open conflict on Mygeeto so long ago.

"Two thousssand creditsss for the madclaw!"

Hakar Scaleback stalked his umbaran competition like a predator seeking the perfect moment to pounce. Most of the bawdy crowd feared his reputation enough to keep their distance. Those fearless or stupid enough to make themselves an obstacle were roughly pushed aside by a freshly grown arm still shedding scales while it healed from the slave's act of defiance against Black Sun.

"Wookieesss are not broken easssily," he tasted the air with a forked tongue as if picking up Allura's scent, "You would be wissse to reconsssider your invessstment."

Rows of sharklike fangs widened in a too friendly smile but the menacing look in Hakar's reptilian eyes left little question that he was making an unspoken threat. Trandoshans were known throughout the galaxy for their aggressive negotiations. A fortune in tasteless aurodium jewelry advertised both wealth and enough arrogance to flaunt such prized trinkets around this wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Hey!
We’ve got to find a way out of this chit. Any ideas?

Aiden heard the small knock on the bars followed by the single word. He looked over to another individual whom he didn't know. Essentially offering to put their heads together to find a way out. Aiden neared the bars as he closed his eyes and rested his head against the bars.

"We can't do much right now. Unless you got support from the outside that could get a distraction going. Even then....." Aiden thought about the force suppression collar around his neck and while he had other skills that wouldn't require the force. He knew his training with the Royal Defense Force were valid things. He would have to get close quarters though, and with the lock on their cages.

Aiden chuckled lightly, then spoke in a low tone to Makko. "Perhaps someone here will find pity on us and override these locks on our cages." Aiden didn't carry the complete bright hopeful stature that his father had. He still believed in it, but reality would set it in at some point.

"What about you? How'd you get here?"
