Faction Birth of the Coalition

All it takes is a Spark

Iridonia
905 ABY
At the behest of Garrion Der Rædwulf Garrion Der Rædwulf , a meeting was called. The location was kept close to the chest, the leaders of the United Protectorate of Sovereign Systems, and the Wild Space Rebellion, descretely meeting on a planet only listed as "K12" on any official communications.

Both knew what that meant.

The Tenacity landed on the sands of Iridonia, Jonyna Si Jonyna Si , Kessari Vorn Kessari Vorn and Garrion Der Rædwulf Garrion Der Rædwulf himself exited. Far in the desert, an old rebel alliance base. Jonyna had chosen it based off her own memory of it.

How today went, changed how her future went. Changed how the galaxy's future went.

"This was your idea."

Jonyna wasn't too sure on this. She had been familiar with the Protectorate for a while now, but she also knew that it wasn't the most offensive faction in the galaxy. What they needed was bold strikes. Attacks like Zoro's on Caragash. But she also knew that they needed homefront focus. She was no politician, by any means.

She just knew the rebellion needed one thing. Manpower.

"Let's make it work."

A message to the palace and Vulpesen Vulpesen usually meant something private and important. Her duty would be remise if she let him walk into a trap... or go somewhere interesting enough they traveled across the galaxy to meet with people. The divide to Veradune was a big thing as she hovered there in the vessel and stretched herself out like a large cat. Black and silver streaked haair moving in an unknown and controlled movement while she was levitating with the force wrapped around herself. The form fitted silks only showing songsteel chains as glinting slivers before she spun around to look upside down. "I am wide awake who are these people again?"

"It will." He replied to Jonyna with firm certainty. "They have the same fury as you, it simply requires proper direction."

Continuing, he followed them out of the ship, advancing towards the base.

"...I will admit, I was surprised when Iridonia was selected. Though I suppose it was an easier commute for our potential allies. This on their terms, after all."

After making his remark, he glanced back to Jonyna, noting her expression. He made no mention of it directly, yet continued with:

"They trust me. At the very least, they'll hear us out. And if it does? You know we stand a far greater chance of opposing the current order."

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
"Friends. People who can stand beside us and help us grow into something beyond our meager systems." Vulpesen's tail twitched behind him as he stepped onto the loading ramp next to Tricia. A small team of his men stood behind him, their stance relaxed though their eyes scanned the hull as if danger could come from their own holoprojector. As soon as the hydraulics hissed, their backs straightened and they fell in step behind the Valde. Vulpesen had no expectation of trouble in this place, but to leave home without an honor guard was to risk the ire of his safety officers and a lecture that he had neither the time nor the patience to sit through.

His eyes darted briefly to the other presence at the entrance of the ship. Ra'a'mah Ra'a'mah , his partner in politics and a constant source of purpose in his life. With luck, this would be the break that they had both been searching for. Of course, the hopes of a sedate and easy meeting went out the window as soon as he reached out in the force. A familiar presence beyond the lowering ramp lit up his senses in a way that briefly prickled his tail. "Fantastic," he murmured with a rueful grin. "Speaking of friends, one of their delegates is someone I've had quite a few dealings with." Jonyna Si Jonyna Si 's presence didn't worry him per se. Their purposes had always aligned, even if their ideologies sometimes clashed. Perhaps their differences would even be the thing that made their arrangement work. And besides all the times they had torn his sparring ground asunder, he still considered her a friend. Why else would he put up with the exorbitant fees his landscaper charged for her visits.

Ra'a'mah stood near the entrance of the ship as the ramp descended, taking in the barren landscape of Iridonia and the old Rebel base beyond it. She had come alongside Vulpesen because whatever emerged from this meeting had the potential to become considerably more important than another agreement signed and forgotten. The Protectorate needed friends beyond its own borders, but more importantly, it needed friends who understood why it existed in the first place. If Garrion believed the Wild Space Rebellion could become one of them, Ra was willing to hear what they had to say.

Vulpesen's sudden, rueful fantastic drew her attention away from the base. One eyebrow rose as she looked toward him, catching the reaction before he explained its cause. Apparently, one of the people waiting for them was already well acquainted with him, though his description of ideological disagreements made the corner of her mouth lift slightly. "Of course she is," Ra replied, amusement warming her voice. "It would have been terribly disappointing if we managed to arrange one meeting where you didn't already have history with someone."

She fell into step beside him as they descended the ramp, allowing the honor guard to follow while her gaze settled upon those waiting near the base. Garrion she recognized immediately. Jonyna Si she knew by reputation if nothing else, and presumably introductions would take care of anyone unfamiliar soon enough. Ra had no intention of arriving with demands already prepared. This was a first meeting, and whatever the Rebellion needed from the Protectorate mattered just as much as what the Protectorate might gain from them.

"Garrion," she greeted with a small inclination of her head once they drew close enough, before allowing her attention to move naturally across the others. "It's good to see you again." A faint smile followed as she glanced briefly toward Vulpesen. "You've certainly managed to bring an interesting collection of people together. So, why don't we find somewhere comfortable and see what we might be able to accomplish?"

Tricia looked at Vulps and then at Ra as they spoke and she grinned. "Vulpesen is a man of the people. This is why the treasury is drained for alimony." She said it but remained there hanging in the air but was taking what he said. "Though wanting to expand, are you certain. You know that involves talking to people and you usually try and fling a lightning bolt at them as hello. It leaves scorch marks on the ceiling and that gets all over my clothing. You can't get carbon scoring from attacks out of clothing." She was speaking but always remaining there in pace while looking at the others who were there to be seen while rotating in the air. "If it comes to it, tell me and we can drop a moon on them it worked the last time a meeting went badly."

Immediately Garrion took notice of Ra'a'mah. He hadn't seen her in person since he'd departed for Kessel, so he was happy she spoke to him first. Jonyna had already left his side to meet with one of theirs, a man he'd recognized from Veradune though hadn't spoken with much... knowing little except his seeming fondness for liquor.

Following alongside her as they made towards the base, he commented: "It's been some time. How are things?"

"Hopefully better for you than they were for us... Kessel seemed to serve as a rude awakening. Though, I'm happy it's played a part in establishing this meeting."

His tone suggested he'd rather not divulge anything more than that. From what he'd told her over private communications weeks prior, it painted a clear picture. If it were significant enough to bring them to the table, that's all that mattered.

As they made their distance away from the group and into the base, he spoke in a quieter tone.

"I don't expect this to be an easy arrangement to push through." He admitted.

"
Their forces are far less... consistent. Factionalism will most certainly be an issue, though I suspect we'll all be willing to set aside our differences if it means facing a common enemy." A slight smirk formed on his face. "Suppose I'm living proof of that."

He glanced back at the others, then to the base once more, standing outside the entrance.

"Let's not get... too ahead of present company. We'll fall in once everyone's ready."
