Best of Both Worlds (Iella E'ron)

The Defender-class corvette was there, more or less hovering over Shri-Tal as the jedi master meditated and brought his attentions forward. Slowly he had been finding less and less things of interest or above that finding reason... He had after the drama isolated himself from the jedi preferring to stay on Tython and away from their madness, then he had seen them condemn actions but gladly do the same and reason it away as no one else understanding. He had watched the jedi break apart and chosen not to fully follow either side.

Perhaps that was the danger and the problem, he had not committed to her and her choices. Standing up while he slid the sash on Syn moved to go and find Iella. She had left with Aika, Rasu and Sochi to form the Silver Jedi and he had not fully followed wanting to protect the people of the Republic. Also to try and help the padawan's like Anarya and [member="Keiko"] who needed direction.... better direction then some he had seen. So staying had condemned him at least until his friend Sophia appeared but he was protecting and training her daughter.

"Iella..." He said it while walking and both into the silence of the ship and into the force. He loved her more then she knew and he did not want to see something that had been strong and faced dangerous obstacles disappear because he was a fool. He was committed to above all else her and as he stood there in his robes just looked into the force for her. He felt for that bond and entered offering himself only while he moved. "I have reached a decision, I have been terrible to you in not supporting you fully. I shouldn't have stayed to help the jedi and should have followed you."

He moved and was focused solely on her while the events from Tython and Rhen var filtered through his consciousness. He had been through a great deal and slowly continued on while he went to his knees. "I know staying was a mistake and after Korriban we have drifted apart, I want to be more with you. More attentive and caring with you, I promised to take your burdens and you have been so strong here leading your order to make them safe. The crisis with the sith and the hammers have kept me from seeing to all of your problems and working to heal them."

Iella turned as Syn approached. She could always sense him, even from afar, their force bond strong and unyielding. Her face smiled on his approached but soon disappear as he began to speak. She stood there listening to him allowing him to finish before she would reply. Iella looked down into his face and considered him .. as she always did, before her hand rose up to take his cheek. Her thumb stroking him in a loving caress.

"The choice was always yours", she began, "I will and will never ask anything of you". She reached down and took both his hands in her to encourage him to stand ..

"You were not wrong to remain with the Jedi Order, they needed .. need people there that are willing to help them, but .. their arrogance blinds them even still. And they reject all the values that is a Jedi, and twist them into a way that suits their purpose.. whatever that purpose now is, I do not know anymore, you tried ... just like you always did. I on the other hand had had enough".

She paused for a moment to consider the other things he had said. "You are not alone in failing to see we have drifted apart, the fault of that is with us both. My duties as leader keeps me away from you and the family, it is one of the burdens of leadership .. you know it. But that does not excuse me either".

Iella smiled once more, "Lets take this time to spend together and ... get to know one each other once more".

He looked at her and she was right, in the end she had left because it wasn't the same. Change was needed at times but few people actually seemed to look at what was best and now slowly he was rolling his shoulders. while he moved towards her more. The idea of spending more time together and regetting to know each other was a welcome thought as he spoke. "That sounds nice, getting away from it all and just go someplace peaceful." He wanted that more and more then he could imagine and well there was much more they could do roaming around the galaxy or they could see to the worlds the Silver jedi had that he knew a few things about.

"I think a vacation would be something very good for us, something we can go and do while enjoying ourselves. We'll set course for Shri-Tal, we can get lost there for a few days or weeks and the Order will not miss us." He just brought his arms around her and sat there breathing in deeply the scent of her even with some of the anger she had but he had been with her all of this time. She was fiery and simmered down after she let it all out. He would be there for her and everything that came from it while his hand just went to her back and patted in slow lazy circles. "You are all I need. Lets enjoy this time."

Iella just nodded to the pilot to set course for Shri-Tal. They needed this, he was right about that and so they would spend this time together. However, something sat in the back of her mind, something she has had for a little time now but unable to grasp. The force whispering to her a warning, an ill message that for the moment unable to be delivered. Iella did not like this, something was blocking her senses and a shift around her bothered her.

However, she would not worry Syn about it, or anyone for that matter, this would be a time for questions in meditation. Her hand came up and sat in the middle of his back as she turned to face him.

"There is much I wish to do there, and I will need your help. I want to construct a Holocron", she said. "It is time". The words had a sense of finality about them as if a chapter was about to close and a new one to begin.

He perked his head up a little and looked at her for a moment, she was curious right now there was something there in her bodies tension. He was thinking of bringing it up and touched her hand on her back for comfort and care, hearing that she wanted to construct her own holocron had him giving a nod of his head to that. He knew how to make one and had been contemplating his own. He had actually started working on it and then didn't follow through as he smiled. "That I think would be a great thing, something that would help our children and others as time goes on." He was just enjoying this time and they were headed to a world where there was much had happened and they could find a peaceful place to construct a holocron for Iella that would be grand. "We shall make everything better in the end and your experiences will prove more valuable to some."

The Defender Class Corvette began its descent to Shri-Tal. The pilot announcing their arrival in under ten minutes. She had made prior arrangements for accommodation in one of the small townships, much preferring to be away from the main cities.

"Come lets go and get ready to depart, I want to spend some time with you before we go and construct the Holocron". Yes the Holocron is important, but not as much as the man beside her and it could wait, he could not.

No starport but a landing pad held the ship as the board ramp lowered. Iella stepped out into the light of day, wearing nothing to signal Jedi save for her lightsaber. Her white T-Shirt and cream trouser covered her as well as she boots. The afternoon, at it peak as the sun sat high in the sky, but a soft breeze greeted her rolling in from the surroundings.

Syn could wait for her, until the stars burned out if that was what she wanted and he just waited there with her until they were on the planet. There was a silver jedi outpost built here, not a temple but it could hold a few dozen jedi in rooms and was made for meditation on one of the lakes. He could smell the Jun-la the blind creatures that could track for miles and carry many more pounds then so many things. He was carrying his things on the belt and wearing the red duster over his shirt and pants. Spending time with Iella was important and a holocron would take time.

He looked at Iella and moved towards the large beast that was sniffing the air and he could see him. Syn grabbed a tuff of its fur and climbed up to sit upon the creature while he held his arm down to lift Iella up. Then he was looking at her and nudging the creature to take them, their equipment packed on the back of it with them while he was guiding with the force and the creature was scenting the air. Syn spoke just wrapping his arms around Iella and resting his head on her shoulder while he was thinking about what they could do and talk about. Here they were alone and while few in the Silver Jedi cared it had become so ingrained to hide it he cherished these moments and time alone. "You are still as beautiful as that day on Tattooine."

She smiled as he cuddled her. So long it had been since they had spent time together and his arms around her reminder of it. "That seems like a life time ago now, it has been ages since I have visited my old home", she said as she placed her arms upon his to hold him there to her. "And you are just as handsome as that day, little did I know what would happen between us".

The ride on the beast enjoyable and all to short. They arrived to their destination .. the outpost, and soon they would be able to just be together.

He nodded his head to that, to long and he trip had been tooo short as arriving at the outpost was kind of cruel. It was more then that a large estate built to blend in with the architecture of Shri-tal, made for the silver jedi and housing Matsu Ike down below in her house. Something she had the credits for, hell she had seen to the design. It was a mansion an atrisian style mansion with plenty of rooms for all the jedi that needed to be on the world. He climbed down and headed for it also sensing the jedi below who were working on the ruined vault. A section of cave they were sealing off and making their own for storage and artifacts. "Oh there is still much to come for us my love. We shall always have each other and this time no force spirits, no undead, no crystal heart."

She grinned at his words, before a small laugh come from her mouth, something she has not done in some time... laugh. "Matsu has done a great job here, she really is becoming a Jedi .. well she always was but I think you know what I mean". she smiled again.

Iella stopped for a moment to take in the work of Matsu, the masion was indeed grand, to grand for Jedi but .. she would never stop someone artistic bent to be stifled. Besides life is too short and if little pleasure can be allowed then why not? Even Jedi need an outlet to emotions, bottling them in is just as destructive.

They continued to walk up the stairs and into the place, it was time to find their room and relax.

"Yes she is and this place doesn't stand out against the others on the planet." Which was the point as she walked up towards the second floor. Plenty of space but it blended with the mansions of the planet, didn't reveal and scream they had a temple same as the one on Vaynai built in the old hutt palace. He kept going up towards the rooms setting their things down. He knew what Iella meant about Matsu... well for the most part, he was more forgiving and understood death and jedi causing it. Worse things had happened and more things had been forgiven for other people but it was less interested. It solved little to get held up with the past and focus so much on it.

He entered the room and the scent of the trees and leaves brought his attention more to the windows while going to sit on the bed. A nicely sized room without frills and decor just bed, desk, chairs and holoterminal as needed. They might have a mansion that looked expensive but a deceptive shell was something most in the order, most in all the jedi order understood. The jedi master sat there on the bed just leaning back while he reached out with his senses. "This place is peaceful, more so then some others and I could see spending a great amount of time here." He just smiled and opened an arm for her to curl into if she got the idea, his thoughts of the moment more on what was below the house under them. Sub basements for Matsu that were hers alone and a vault.

As they entered the room, Iella walked over to the window and stood looking out at the view. The room very plan to say the least, but functional. This made Iella smile, it was so like Matsu .. functional. She turned to take it in more, simply design, elegant in fact but a little luxury would not hurt, not even the Jedi would succumb to the darkside for the wanting of some finer things. Her eyes fell on Syn as she rested on the bed. Encouraging her to his side, she would not deny the pleasure of it.

Iella made her way toward him, taking off her cloak and letting it drop to the floor. She approached in silence, but their force bond would soon tell him .. her mind. Next the outer robes came away followed by everything else.

"We have some catching up to do", she said softly as she pushed him back on the bed. She is in no mood for chat.

That was not wholly his intent but he was weak, he could never deny her wants and so he would spend more then enough time there. Letting the hours roll by while the sun went down and then was coming back up before he was just laying there with her. His breathing ragged and laying there he spoke. "Well that was amazing as always my love." He wondered where holocrons came into this but he wasn't going to question or complain while laying there reaching out with his senses and just focused on himself and her. Thinking more on what they could be doing and hoping she was tired out, even his stamina only went so far.

He waited until she was ready but rolled over just enough to hold her close while his face nuzzled her neck, he was wondering all the things she would and could put into a holocron for herself. Her skills in many ways were refined and focused compared to his but he has the benefit of time, of age and experience. His wisdom not always the best but he preferred passing a few things along to those who had some of the skills. Iella had shown herself to be one of his greatest students who had went on to do wonders. He spoke softly more mouthing the words but that bond between them would convey it. 'I love you' He was ready for whatever she wished to have happen.

"And I love you", she whispered as she moved closer for comfort. The roll on days of the Silver Jedi continue .. much work to do as always, if anything they increase daily. It felt good to be away from the busy life if only for a while. She knew well enough it will demand more time of her and more of her. So these moments with him will become more important more precious then ever.

A strange question came from her lips.. "How are you?", she asked. It is not general question, but one wishing for more depth, as she wanted to know if he is alright, that his path in life remains good.

He thought about it more just laying there and... Was he? Yes he had his children, his wife, he and they were safe. There was a war but he had pulled out of that awhile ago if only because he got tired of fighting and his efforts being met with others judging them. He found it sickening after a time and hadn't seen the jedi as the jedi he knew. Even when he had fought against them they had been united and had a purpose. "I am doing well, it is strange but there are worse places to be, were it not for you, not for our children, not for some sort of purpose I might have been lost long ago. I am glad to simply be happy and exist in the galaxy until I am needed."
