HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The history of this datacron is deeply entwined with that of Clan Skern. The revered founder of the Clan, Corras Skern, was among many other things a serious student of history, especially that of the Mando'ade, and was well familiar with the many, many wars the Mandalorians had fought throughout the centuries against the Jedi and the Sith, and how too often this led to Manda'yaim's ruin. To answer this, he drew inspiration and principles from other martial arts throughout the galaxy to forge a style of hand-to-hand combat that would be effective against any opponent, even one that commanded the force.
The generations saw numerous evolutions both to the art and the clan itself, and each of these eras brought the contributions of new warriors and thinkers, new philosophies and techniques, ensuring that the art remains ever relevant in a constantly-changing galaxy. These additions paint a vast and beautiful tapestry of the Clan's history, from its founding to the incarnation that remains even today.
Passed down through the generations to the Clan's best martial artists, the datacron has, in its modern form, found itself in the hands of Selle Skern, an adoptee of the Clan Alor and an extremely skilled warrior by her own right. Taking on the mantle of this knowledge's guardian, she uses the guidance of this datacron to ensure that the warriors of Clan Skern and their brothers in the Sirsahyav are ever ready to defend themselves and their Vode.

, Sirsahyav - Gatekeeper: : The Gatekeeper, unlike the ethereal Force-based avatars in Jedi and Sith holocrons, manifests as a lifelike holographic projection of the founder of Clan Skern. Standing tall and proud, the figure is adorned in traditional Mandalorian armor, beskar gleaming in the holographic light. The armor shows signs of battle – notches, scars, and burns – a testament to the challenges faced and battles won.
- Description: A cube, measuring roughly 10 cm along each edge. The outer casing of the holocron is forged from pure beskar, giving it a distinctive metallic sheen that's both elegant and formidable, ensuring that this hallowed knowledge remains preserved for generations. Etched onto one face of the cube is the emblem of Clan Skern, a sigil of a Katarn. On the opposite face, a smaller circular design represents the battle circle.
- Accessibility: Unlike complex rituals of the Jedi and Sith Holocrons, or the touch of a force-sensitive, The holocron requires a Mandalorian chain-code encoded with the lineage of Clan Skern, this causing the holocron to emit a holographic image - showcasing various techniques training regiments, and the latter.
- Security: If the holocron, while activated, is accessed without a member of Clan Skern present, it will deactivate and enter into a lockdown mode, which requires not only a Clan Skern chain code but a pass-phrase known only to Clan Skern's Rally Master.
