SPECIAL FEATURES
strengths.png

  • Jack of All Trades: Boasting respectable protection against most weapon systems and hostile environments, Besh Pattern armor gives First Order special forces a great deal of flexibility in their combat missions.
  • Stealth Platform: Equipped with a thin layer of reflec, Besh Pattern armor greatly reduces the effectiveness of sensors in detecting the wearer.
  • Combat Suite: Besh Pattern armor is equipped with a variety of systems that enhance a trooper’s performance in combat, from a tactical HUD that differentiates friendlies from enemies to crushgaunts that boost the wearer’s physical strength.
  • All-Terrain: Besh Pattern Commando Armor provides good all-around environmental protection, especially against extreme temperatures. In particularly hostile environments, Besh Pattern armor can further equip oxygen tanks, advanced toxin filters, and even jetpacks.

  • Weak Spots: While Besh Pattern Commando Armor provides nearly complete full-body coverage, there are gaps in the plating on the wearer’s neck, shoulders, and elbows that are covered only a light bodyglove.
  • Master of None: Unlike more specialized armors, Besh Pattern armor does not have any especially strong resistances. Therefore, it performs poorly in exceptionally extreme environments or under heavy fire.
  • Short-Circuited: A direct hit from an ion grenade or most infantry-grade ion weapons will short-circuit the majority, if not all, of the internal systems in Besh Pattern armor, rendering them unusable until repairs can be made.

Rugged and reliable, Besh Pattern Commando Armor is the mainstay of the First Order’s special forces.
Designed for stormtrooper commandos operating in environments beyond the parameters of the more standard Aurek pattern, Besh armor offers improved overall protection as well as a moderate amount of stealth thanks to its reflec coating. The reflec functions by warping the signals sent by most common sensors, preventing them from registering the trooper beneath the armor.

The Besh Pattern armor, like its Aurek counterpart, is highly modular and takes little effort to refit to suit the needs of a specific squad or unit of First Order commandos. Yet even in its base form, Besh armor is resilient against both hostile fire and hazardous environments, giving its wearers a tactical edge over infantry with more mass-produced equipment.
