Belly of the Beast (Outer Rim Coalition infiltration vs Velok)

OOC/ This is a training mission for ORC new recruits, though all ORC members are welcome. I won't be DM'ing this thread, and don't wait on me: deal with the infiltration as you see fit.

NIGHTHUNTER PORT
SVOLTEN

Name: Nighthunter Port

Image Source: Screencap from Skyrim: Dragonborn

Classification: Urban Center

Location: Svolten, Svolten system

Affiliation: Nominally self-governed. In practice, Nighthunter Port has usually answered to one Sith or another. Just a practical reality in the backwaters of the Stygian Caldera. Recently, the city council has answered to Velok in secret, though this may change if another Sith steps in to claim the prize.

Population: 75,000

Demographics: Standard Outer Rim milieu. 30% human, 15% Twi'lek, 5% Gran, 10% Rodian, 0.01% Hutts, 5% Weequay, 10% Klatoonian, 1% Elom, 1% Aqualish, 1% Dug, 1% Zeltron, 1% Chagrian, 1% Qo'saarai Tuk'ata, 5% Arcona, 13.99% assorted others

Points of Interest: The city is built around a series of rhyolite mines built into a cliff. The city's walls surround everything -- houses, mines, and starport. Nighthunter Port has a flourishing black market with good offworld contacts: alchemists and their intermediaries are always willing to barter for high-grade rhyolite and the knowledge to use it properly. Coincidentally, the port's black market is a great place to get a bargain on a cheap alchemical sword, though you have to know someone who knows someone.

Description: Nighthunter Port is a sleepy mining city focused on a rare mineral called rhyolite. Unique to Svolten, rhyolite has a variety of unimpressive industrial applications, enough to keep the mines mildly profitable. The oldtimers know, however, that rhyolite is also an indispensable part of the rituals that create the greatest Sith swords. As a result, small amounts of the highest-grade rhyolite are often set aside and sold on the black market. Nighthunter Port is one of the largest urban centers on Svolten. Most of its buildings are prefab, made of local trees or rock, or constructed inside silooth carapaces.

Outside the city walls, most of Svolten is snowy waste. The walls keep out the occasional Sithspawn -- nighthunters, silooth, and the occasional terentatek.

History: There have been rhyolite mines on Svolten for anywhere from six to thirty-six thousand years; sources vary and accounts conflict. Nighthunter Port is built on the ruins of older settlements, though not many. The great mines were elsewhere, and are now exhausted, made into tombs. Nighthunter Port, in its modern incarnation, was constructed around 830-835 ABY, to meet the needs of the Moridin- and Varanin-era Sith Empire. It fell off the map, largely forgotten, during the Republic's annihilation of the Zambrano regime. Since then, Nighthunter Port has kept its head above water through sale of rhyolite, which has some industrial uses but is fairly unimpressive in most respects. The interstellar black market has contributed significantly to the city's survival.

Intent: To help flesh out the ancient Sith worlds, and as a gamepiece for TSO's Domains system.

Links: Svolten rhyolite whetstone - goes over some of the obscure canon involved.

The Coalition's capture of Velok's ship on Arcadia revealed the Whiphid Sith's connection to Nighthunter Port, on the distant world of Svolten. Deep in the ancient Sith worlds, Svolten does not answer directly to the Dominion or to the Resurgent Empire, but reaching it required careful navigation nonetheless. As some of Velok's revealed plans involved criminal activity on Arcadia, an ORC world, Judges and other agents of the Coalition have been dispatched to infiltrate Nighthunter Port and learn what can be learned.

Acting openly would be very bad, and probably pull down Resurgent Empire or Dominion attention of a most serious kind. Therefore, this mission is undercover. Find any clues to Velok's location, tools, and further plans. Watch out for Qo'saarai Tuk'ata and Whiphids.

B'kik

The cutest capitalist thief you will ever see
B'kik payed off the smuggler who was kind enough to transport his WAS to loo snowy planet
The WAS B'kik brought was modified for use on snow planets un loo exact mission
B'kik made sure he hired smugglers and ex black market merchants to gogowa the WAS store
B'kik checked the inventory un the WAS to make sure he had enough black market items to last a couple of days
B'kik was sure loo setup should allow him to look around the port without people getting suspicous while also getting him some profits
B'kik's plan was simple
-Sell goods
-Collect infomation
-Buy some sith goods
-Find out Velox's plan
B'kik already started ease dropping on customers conversations and found out that Velox comes down to this planet once in a while to nye rhyoite a seemingly useless ore that is very good for sith alchemy.

Sakka was sent again by the ORC authorities to investigate the Nighthunter Port. His previous mission involving the ship Arcadia was one of the reason why he was handpicked to be sent. Although from his opinion, he really didn't do anything flashy from the last mission, he was still thankful for it's another opportunity to earn some money.
He arrived by the ORC ship sent along with other ORC members. Sakka doesn't recognize anyone on the ship, but it was not a problem of him. He could do well being alone but he could also do well when being on a team he doesn't know. It's one of his unpopular strengths, to be able to adjust to any situation.
The ship arrived just as the snow was starting falling again in the afternoon. A gush of icy wind immediately passes by as the ramp open that made some of the members shiver. They quickly exited the ramp to find the nearest Tavern to warm into, but not Sakka. He continue walking to the streets, feeling a little happy of the place. This kind of place definitely in his mind has a branch of the Hunter Guild he was into. And not long enough he found the place. "Pride Reaver" was the name. He enters and found three people hanging on one table and a lonely bartender cleaning a mug. He went to the counter and showed him the badge. "What may I get you young Stalker" the Bartender asks
"five vodka and a milkshake please, also one room with a hot tub ready" Sakka says to the bartender. Immediately the bartender prepared his drink as Sakka sat down on the corner table of the place.
"Tomorrow will be a rough day" he says to himself as he stares to his window, watching as the snow falls. "good thing I didn't bring Melty, he will definitely die on this weather"

@B'kik
OOC : just a bit of introduction. Me will regroup with you if the action starts. I'm really bad at starting some actions.

The Kathol's Dishonour touched down gently in the port's docking yard and the steel boarding ramp extended. Leo casually walked from his ship, he was a smuggler after all. He'd managed to score a black market deal on some of the rhyolite ore mined here to make his arrival seem like business, well, shady business. After discovering information on [member="Velok the Younger"]'s involvement with this port, back on the Mercy Me, the next logical step was to investigate what the Whiphid had been doing. And once again, it was Leo who had to take command of the rookies.

Leather boots crunched against dirt as he casually strode forward into the compound. Leo had informed everyone to arrive separately so not to draw too much attention to the group. Their orders were to get planet-side, find anything of use, and get of the rock before any alarms were raised. A simple stealth job. But when was it ever simple...

Bryce has decided to tag along with this mission as a "medic" now he was capable of much more but he wanted to give those newer to the cause a chance to learn and grow. Walking out behind [member="Leo Vandermolen"] he had flow in a seperate public transport and had used his force senses to track the raven haired rogue and would accompany him in support.

Like a mining town lost to despair and death the darker parts of the force hung heavy in the air. This was a wreched place, one that would no doubt offer Bryce a chance to get his hands on some rare sith items, one he would study to continue to help his understanding of the dark arts.

"Feth lovely place Leo, once we are done here remind me to come back and buy a summer home here."

Jim had been too drunk to fly, however he had sobered up by the time they had gotten to the planet. He too had taken public transport with Bryce, he didn't know if Bryce knew he was right behind him but he took out his flask and gave it to a poor street urchin, "hold onto this for me for the week, thanks buddy."

Jim hadn't been this sober in months. He then walked over to Bryce and Leo,

"Bloody hell. You don't think this is a dry town, do ya?" Jim said slightly concerned. Though he promised himself and the people around him, he wouldn't drink during this mission, He definitely would make an exception if he was traumatized, after all, he would need somewhere to drown his sorrows.

B'kik

The cutest capitalist thief you will ever see
B'kik was collecting information at a decent pace
B'kik soon found out that po of the bug stores at the outpost was supplying the sith with some sith swords
B'kik got out his comms un went into his private office in the WAS
"Loo is B'kik. Ikee have good news. Alchemy R Us pukay big shipments of sith swords. To nye them meet at the store around sunset."
Hopefully everyone who got the message understood what B'kik meant
B'kik also hoped any slicer that hacked into his comms didn't understand the true meaning of his words
