STRENGTHS

• The use of gammaplast and dallorian alloy, along with the laser-reflective coating on the armor's plates, gives the Barbazu-type a high resistance to energy weapons and heat. The armorweave bodyglove also assists with the energy resistance, and the agrinium underlay further protects against radiation and ionization.

DESCRIPTION

Developed in co-operation between the Sith Order's Sphere of Research and Development and Aurora Industries, the Barbazu-type Sith Legionnaire Armor was designed to be a candidate for the new modernization and streamlining initiative put forward by the Dark Council. Many of the Eleventh Sith Empire's legions and forces had originally been created on an individual basis, and while this had created an environment where its various enemies could not predict what would be deployed and where, it had also created a lack of cohesiveness for its forces and needless complications.

The Barbazu is designed to address this issue, but also allowing for the versatility and individualism of the various factions and units within the Sith Order. Created from lessons Aurora Industries had learned through its Vulcan Foundries subsidiary, the Barbazu is formed from a combination of gammaplast and dallorian alloy composite plates treated with a laser-reflective coating and an agrinium underlay reinforced with a thermal gel and bistate gel insulator. This combination gives the armor impressive protection against energy-based weaponry and kinetic-based weaponry while still allowing for the weight to remain on par with many other infantry armors.

The armor, much like other armors from Aurora, has an integrated recharging and storage hardpoint on the backplate, allowing each individual soldier to carry a support drone or jetpack. The gauntlets of the armor also have modular hardpoints to allow each soldier to swap out equipment as needed, such as energy shields, wrist launchers, etc.
