Babysitting Blues (Laina)

[member="Laina Silvias"]

Elpsis snuggled up against the older woman. "Bit sleepy. You're always there for me. You're so sweet. Have I told you what a great mistress you are?" she asked sleepily, fondly stroking the amazon's beautiful black hair. Realising that she was getting awfully fangirly, she looked a bit embarrassed. Her cheeks acquired a slight pink hue. "Wanna check up on Morri and get something to eat? I can make you something."

Laina smiled, "Glad to hear it darlin'." The Amazon leaned her head back and sighs softly. "It'd be wrong of me to be anything else but always there to help and offer what I can to teach you. It's just the way the tribe raised me." She purred quietly for a moment, relaxing against Elpsis touch, loving her hair stroked. "And that is quite kind of you. I'm glad you think so."

Finally, Laina forced her eyes open. She wanted to stay in bed longer but Elpsis reminded her of her little girl. She had no idea how long exactly she had been gone for. Her girl would need her. "I do need to check in on her. I don't like leaving her alone, with anyone else for this long." No, she was used to taking complete care of her baby daughter. Only now did she have the option, and allowed for anyone else to take care of her child. Even then, that was only after Laina was certain she trusted the woman. After all, no man would take care of her girl. No, not at all.

"Something to eat would also be fantastic. I'm not sure how long I've been down here before even you arrived. I had forgotten about food until you mentioned it." Slowly Laina pushed herself to her feet and offered a hand to help Elpsis up onto her feet as well. "Shall we?" She asked, waiting for the redhead.

It went without saying that no manling would be worthy of taking care of something as precious as the little one. Manlings were made for menial labours. Or for service as pleasure slaves. It was for their own good to be placed under the loving heel of a strong woman.

"Ok, sure. Anything specific you want? Gotta feed the mama bear," Elpsis asked, taking the profferred hand. She took a moment to admire the intricate tattoos that seemed to cover most of Laina's body. The contrast of dark tattoos and pale skin gave the amazon an exotic look. Elpsis just so happened to really like novelties.

"Y'know I love your kiddo. Really do. I'd always watch out for her," she said as a heartfelt aside when they departed the room. It would be a bit of a walk out of the basement and then up the stairs before they reached ground level again. They would find sweet little Morrigan in the nusery. The baby had been placed in the shiny crib. The baby was sleeping in a crib while a nurse watched, but her eyes fluttered open the moment her mother arrived. Perhaps she felt her through the Force, perhaps it was simply a baby's intuition.

"To be honest, I'm not that particular about food. Anything works for me, really." She had caught the glance to her tattoos and smiled brighter. "You like them, don't you?"

Laina nodded, "I'm glad to hear that. I just don't like leaving her for long periods of time. And I'm not the most trustful of others to take charge of her care and protect her like I would. She's my world and the only thing I have left of a man I did love dearly. You and Aella, I don't like many other folks near her right now. The first few months of her life have been solely at my side. Still getting used to the idea she doesn't need me there always when there are people who can care for her in my stead."

Laina lovingly looked to her daughter as she stepped into the nursery to check on her little one. Seeing Morrigan's eyes open as she walked over to the crib, warmed her heart making her forget for a moment just what they had been planning to do. She reached down into the crib and carefully picked up the tiny child. With ease and great gentleness Laina pulled the girl up close to her chest, so content to have her baby girl right there. "Aren't you just so beautiful, Morrigan. Nice to see you awake, dear daughter." She spoke sweetly as she gently rocked the girl in her arms, reaching out a finger to play with the baby's tiny hands.

"Ok. I'll think of something then. And, yep, the tats are, like, totally wicked," she grinned. Well, that was one way into Elpsis' affections. She nodded when Laina spoke about how protective she felt of her little kiddo and how difficult it was to let other people take care of her.

"I guess that makes me kinda special, huh? I do feel honoured. Makes us feel kinda like...family." They stepped into the nursery, and Laina immediately picked up the little bundle of joy. Elpsis smiled, feeling the happiness inside Laina's heart. Undoubtedly ignorant Jedi would have something to say, but what did they know? They lived in a world of fairy tales, where dark was dark, light was light and they were the designated heroes of the story.

"Such a lovely kid. Hope you slept well, Morri." Her voice was gentle and sweet. The little scene could not but warm her soul. If she ever had kids, she knew one person to emulate. She reached out with her hand and stroked finger across the baby's tiny head. "I'll go make you something, Laina. Should be ready in a bit," she finally said after a few moments.

Laina smiled, "Someday I'll have to sit down and tell you about each one. For they represent important events in my life, coming of age, first kills first hunts, completion of training that sort of thing. Each one has a significant meaning and purpose and means something deep to me as I chose the design to remind me of it. It's my life story, written across my own body." She was rather proud of the tattoos and what they meant. They were a rather tradition in the galaxy and more than just simply ink on flesh. No, they were so much more than that.

"Thank you, dear, I'm sure whatever you find will be just fine. Truly not picky. Maybe some kind of fish and a soup. That would be good." That was more along the lines of her tribal diet and were comforting foods to her.

She gave a nod, "Yes, it does." Laina paused to think for a second as to why she'd let Elpsis in when she'd pushed so many others away. "You are special, darlin'. You remind me, of myself a fair bit and well, there is something to you that is so honest and genuine that I can't deny it. You don't mean my girl harm, I've seen that future for you and her. You keep her safe in my dreams and visions. So, I have no reason not to trust you, unless you happened to give me a reason to doubt. Thus far, that has not happened. Instead, you've only strengthened my trust."

Laina watched her little girl as she moved to the rocking chair in the corner of the nursery. "I'm going to feed her here if you don't mind. That way I can get off my feet for a bit and I get to spend the time with her nursing her." Little Morrigan seemed to coo so happily seeing the familiar redhead and feeling utterly safe and content in her mom's arms, if not a little hungry as she squirmed to tug at her mother's shirt. With that, she finally settled in with a blanket to cover herself as she shifted her clothing to breastfeed her beautiful daughter.

"I'll make you some soup," Elpsis said with a smile, looking so happy and content to watch the sweet moment between mother and daughter. Love transcended colour schemes. Indeed, she'd often found that those the dogmatic, narrow-minded Jedi rejected as 'dark' turned out to be loving and understanding than the supposed guardians of peace and justice, whose 'tolerance' seemed to end as soon as you contradicted their dogma. Why? Because one category of people lived in the real world, while the other lived in a fairy tale.

She fondly stroked Morrigan's head while Laina sat down and began to breastfeed her. The sight did not cause her any discomfort or embarrass her. It was a completely natural act. "Just thank you...for everything. For taking me in, accepting me. You both really mean a hell of a lot to me," she flushed strongly, looking more than a little like a lovely ripe tomato. Laina would probably detect an awful amount of fangirling via empathy.

"Ok. Now that I've, like, totally acted like a fangirly schoolgirl, I'll leave you to it. I'd love to hear the stories about your tats," she planted a fond but rather chaste kiss on Laina's cheek, then walked out of the nursery.

"Soup sounds perfect. Just what I need after a day like today." Laina replied as she settled down into the chair. She winced a little under her daughter's strong grip on her body as Morrigan contently and eagerly nursed. Sweetly she ran her free hand through the girl's hair showing her love for her baby girl.

Laina's focus returned to Elpsis as Morrigan settled into the routine and eased up on her mother's breast. "You're welcome darling. I'm glad you've been here. There's seldom few others that I'd give the amount of trust that I give you when it comes to my girl, my family. You're always going to be part of that, family Elpsis. Don't forget that. Family isn't blood, it runs far deeper than that. It's the family you choose that becomes the greatest family you'll ever have, and you are part of my chosen family. I wouldn't have it any other way, my dear." She said sweetly as she shifted just a hair more to sink down into the rocking chair to continue to feed her baby girl.

"Oh, darlin' you are fine. Don't you worry." She grinned brightly as Elpsis gave her the lovely little kiss and headed out of the nursery. It also happened to be a good view as the redhead left.

The kind, caring amazon would indeed get a lovely view of Elpsis' round, firm bum when the redhead departed. She was only wearing shorts and her hips swayed nicely. For her part Elpsis' mind was preoccupied. The girl was feeling rather giddy and lightheaded. Laina had not only shown her such kindness, but considered her part of her chosen family. It meant...a lot. Not in a way Elpsis felt able to describe in words, but it did. It gave her hope that maybe things would go well she met her mother.

Eventually she emerged from the basement and reached ground level. Harmony gave her a sly grin and a wink, as if she knew exactly what was going. Elpsis was too giddy with happiness to make a snarky comment. "Intensive training, huh?" the Dahomian asked snarkily. "What are you up to now?"

"Laina's feeding Morri, I'll make her some soup. What?" she asked aloud when Harmony visibly suppressed a chuckle.

"She's got you so wrapped around her little finger that you cook for her? That's sweet. Will you be getting matching tats and pledging to become her lawfully bonded slave soon? Word of advice, if you visit these amazons, don't get drunk and keep track of who you're kissing. Otherwise you may wake up and find you have five wives," Harmony explained with a completely straight face, crossing her arms beneath her ample bosom.

"Riiiight. Five? I think you're talking out of your arse," Elpsis retorted. Oh, you sweet summer child. She would have said more, but the holotelly was on in the living room and the news happened to be somewhat relevant.

'In a stunning move, the Silver Sanctum Assembly has announced that Padawan Undiin, who was accused of theft, propery destruction and selling a child into slavery at an auction, will be sentenced to house arrest. It appears he will have free reign of the Silver Temple and be able to seek Force training. The council has not yet commented on this mind-boggling decision. Inside reporters state that Undiin appeared incoherent, out of touch with reality and that the trial was a chaotic farce. We now turn to the renowned lawyer..."

Elpsis blinked. "What the feth? Are these idiots for real? If he's nuts, lock him up. He fething sold someone into slavery. What a bunch of pathetic, hippie whimps. Can we blow them up?"

Harmony shook her head. "Absurd, but then I've long given up on Jedi. Please don't blow anyone up close to the villa. It would upset the baby."

"I'll just go make soup. Before I look for a Jedi to hit." So she made her way into the kitchen and began to make some miso soup for Laina. The holonews kept playing, informing the viewer that there had been no cross-examination of witnesses, no real jury, everyone in the SSC had been invited to participate, that the accused had been quesitoned right after awakening from his carbonite sleep and appared mentally unbalanced.

Laina thankfully wasn't aware of this fun development and was happily still nursing her little one. Otherwise, her disdain for Jedi would have been clearly expressed with great annoyance. For Jedi among most force users, she couldn't stand at all. At least Sith made logical sense and she could get where they were coming from. Sith weren't hypocritical assholes either, which helped Laina's opinion even if she didn't like them that much either. They were just further down the list of groups she hated than Jedi.

By the time Elpsis would return Morrigan would have finished her meal. The tiny girl was snuggled tight against Laina's chest, seeming so content against her mother as her eyes darted around the room curiously. Laina herself was getting sleepy with her eyes drifting closed as she rocked her daughter gently. It was a tender and sweet moment, no doubt. And a moment of peace and quiet that Laina much needed.

Now in the kitchen, there was Aella who was busy rummaging through the fridge for some dinner herself. "Oh, hi there Elpsis." The amazon said sweetly as she pulled a tray of fruit from the fridge to snack on. "Training, eh?" She didn't need to ask, but she had her own curiosities.

Two days later, the Sanctum Assembly would announce that it had suddenly decided to turn hyper light side, despite the coalition supposedly being conceived as a sanctuary for all those escaping persecution, war and poverty. Ironically, most of the fighting on Ruusan had been done by rogues and darksiders.

But that was neither here now there. For the time being, she had other things to think of. Like making soup for Laina and oggling Aella a bit. Coincidentally, the dark-haired amazon was rummaging through the fridge, which meant Elpsis got a good look of her backside.

"Hey there," she greeted her cheerfully. "Intense training, you should join next time!" She looked around a bit in a cupboard before she got what she needed. Siobhan seemed to like Atrisian cuisine, so there was miso soup. "It's been very eye-opening. Like, totally different from the crap the Jedi tried to force down my throat. Laina's an amazing woman."

Aella chuckled, "I've been there, done that. Laina's a treat. Not someone I can handle all of the time. The woman has boundless energy sometimes. Far more than I've got." A playful wink followed.

With her choice of fruit in hand, Aella walked over and took a seat while she watched Elpsis work to cook something for Laina. "Yeah, Jedi are fools. They have little clue aside from spouting code babble and sticking their nose in where it doesn't belong. Laina's really laid back with teaching. And well, most of us are. A few can be uptight, but those women are rare. Our ways make a hell of a lot more sense than what I know of the Jedi. The Force is just a tool that you can use to whatever end, as long as you have the experience behind it."

Elpsis smirked. "Boundless energy, huh? She sure has a ton. We could tag team her and try to wear her out!" Dear, trying to wear an amazon out is a heavy risk...but the prize! Better consider what you're getting into first.

Elpsis stood at the stove, waiting for the soup to cook. She could have used a microwave, but preferred it this way. "Jedi are either dickish knights templars or useless finger ponderers who spend all day trying to figure out the meaning of their pinkie. Either way, they got a sabre up their arse. Used to think the Silvers were better, but lately it seems I was wrong about 'em, too," she shrugged. "You guys had any dealing with the Burlap Brigade?" Who knew, maybe an amazon had chopped a Jedi's head off and carried it around.

Aella giggled brightly, "Good luck with that I'd think you'd need a good four or five women, maybe more for that task. You and me alone would never succeed."

The dark haired Amazon settled down eating strawberries, seeming oh so content. She nodded as Elpsis spoke, understanding where the young woman was coming from. "I never quite got where they came off, all high and mighty about the Force. It only made me want to strangle a few." She then shrugged, "Once or twice. The manling that came didn't survive long after he chose to come after the tribe for our evil, uncivilized ways. The young female he was with, we adopted into the tribe. As far as I know, she's still there."

Aella slumped down into the chair, "The other incident happened before I was born. I only vaguely recall the story, and even then I doubt I have even half the details. Our stories tend to take on a life of their own as they are passed through the tribe."

Elpsis grinned. "You haven't been here long. There's lots of horny women in this house who'd jump at the chance." One could not blame Elpsis for being sex-crazed since she was being raised in a terribly oversexed household that considered orgies normal.

She looked towards the soup, making sure that it was doing nicely, then turned down the setting a bit, since she didn't want it to be too hot! Then she glanced back to Aella, listening attentively to her story. When she was not being distracted by her eating berries. Somehow it looked rather erotic.

"So they came riding on a high horse, acted like supremacist, chauvinistic arseholes and it bit them in the arse? Sounds legit. Honestly, they're a bunch of cultural imperialists. 'Luminous beings we are, not like these crude plebeians.'" Bit like white imperialists in Africa, 'civilising' the natives whether they wanted or not.

"Nice to know you could open the girl's eyes and save her from the Jedi cult. Maybe us two should play a game sometimes. I can be the uptight, virgin Jedi and you can capture and seduce me." There was a gleam in her eyes, then she turned off the stove and poured the soup into a bowl, before adding a loaf of bread to it.

"Perhaps not," Aella replied with a bright grin, thinking back of her own memories of her dear tribal sister. "Though, I wouldn't for a second underestimate her in such things. But maybe having the kiddo has taken some of that wild energy out of her these days."

The young Amazon nodded, "Pretty much that's the short of it." A sigh followed from Aella, "Yes, I agree. Few others would, but that's how I see them." With the last berry in hand, she nibbled at it for a moment thinking about what Elpsis had suggested. "Hmmm, never actually played games when it comes to sex. Some others in the tribe did, but I never got around to it."

She smiled finishing the berry and wiping her hands off on a napkin. "With women, we try. It's not always possible but we do try as much as we can to help them. It would have been a shame had it gone any other way. I do hate to see the divine feminine wasted on someone too blind to see the truth when its right in front of them. And only further a shame when such a woman must be ended."

Aella had been watching as Elpsis finished the soup and rose as the girl placed the bread into the bowl. "Shall we go find Laina?" She asked. Before Elpsis could even attempt to answer, Aella had already started off in the direction of Morrigan's nursery.

Once there, she quietly opened the door. Her eyes instantly went to her tribemate as she crossed the room. Morrigan seemed to be content, fully and happy as well as nearly asleep. "Let me?" She asked offering to hold the baby for a little bit. "You'll need your hands to eat, dear sister."

Laina tiredly smiled and passed the little girl gently to Aella. Her attention then went to Elpsis. "You are such a sweet girl, both of you." She said as her eyes dropped to the bowl.

"Indeed. It's important to open the eyes of other women and make them understand the divine feminine. There's a lot I don't know about it, but it makes a ton of sense to me. And I feel, like, real at home with both of you," she spoke.

After all, she looked down on most men, didn't really believe in the Light and Dark mumbo-jumbo and had lately become more open to the idea that some sort of higher power existed. It was one way of explaining her visions.

Anyhow, the two departed the kitchen and soon found Laina and her kiddo. Morrigan was being adorable and had fallen nearly asleep. It was a lovely sight that warmed Elpsis' heart. "Aww. You say the sweetest things," Elpsis said happily, passing the bowl and a spoon over to Laina. "Aella here was gushing about your prowess," she added a bit trollishly. She reached out to gently stroke little Morrigan's tiny head.

"There is no greater calling in life than to bring the light of the divine to the lovely creatures that the great white wolf has blessed." The dark-haired woman nodded, "It just takes time. Laina and I have been taught these things since the day we were born. Both of us were raised within the kingdom of the Great White Wolf. We've had a couple of decades to learn and absorb it all."

Aella's lips lifted into a soft, caring and loving smile as she looked at the redhead. "You're a bright young woman, and I've little doubt that you could quickly catch up with personal lessons. I'm not sure that Laina has the time right now to do it all herself. So, I'm sure I could take over a significant amount of the lessons you'd need to know." Aella then shook her head realizing how formal that all sounded. "It's not dull and endless lectures. We have ceremonies and events that are the foundation of what we know to be true. There are stepping stones with each level of knowledge and of course being gifted with the divine power of the Wolf, what most call the Force, there are special sacred ceremonies for you. It's not boring, none of it."

"She's right. We've heard of what it's like to learn under the Jedi, and frankly, it sounds so dull and lifeless. Part of how we teach is through the natural world, through hunting, foraging, learning what the lifeblood of the forest is, and how each one plays an integral role in our lives. It also compares such things to the challenges and hardships that we face every day. It helps to prepare you for just about anything the Blackened Wolf could dare throw at you in this galaxy, in this life." Laina said as she joined in the conversation. She then reached out and took the bowl from Elpsis, and took a long whiff of the of the salty, savory soup. The scent of onions and soybeans, as well as other delightful spices, tickled her nose. And Laina for her part sank into her chair, looking content and joyful. "This smells so delicious, Elpsis my dear, thank you."

Aella just had to jump back into the conversation, "And I can promise it's not anything like the Jedi, trying to shove you, a square peg, into a round whole. There is much freedom in these lessons and the doctrine of the Great White Wolf." The Amazon gently rocked Morrigan in her arms, rubbing the girl's back soothingly. She slowed her movements to allow Elpsis to stroke the tiny girl's head. "In this, we also teach you how to raise a daughter in the faith. How to take care of them, sense their every need, and offer them the host of your knowledge to help the young girl join her sisters as is only proper. Raising daughters, expanding the tribe and leaving behind a legacy is just as important as any other part of our faith."

Laina finally settled in with the soup, taking a few spoonfuls before taking a bite of the bread. "Oh, my Elpsis, this is my favorite soup. How did you know?" She asked as she eagerly ate the hearty and delicious soup. "I can say this for certain, the tribe needs more women like you who truly know how to cook. That way no generation will have to go without such pleasures of food like this." The older Amazon said with a bright smile on her face.

Laina's thoughts wandered back to what Aella had said about her not having the time. "Also, Aella is correct; I don't have as much time as I ordinarily would with Morrigan now. I'm afraid I wouldn't have enough time to dedicate to teaching you every last lesson myself, much less take you on the hunts and perform all the rituals with you. Aella and I could do it together if you are okay with that idea. Or, if you want Aella is more than capable of teaching everything you need to know."

Aella lifted a brow and glanced back to her tribal sister, seeming to question Laina. She certainly didn't feel ready to teach a younger sister all the knowledge they would need from the Great White Wolf. "I mean, I can." She quickly said before Laina could jump in and ask what the look was about. "I've just never taken a novice before now."

Laina seemed a little surprised, "I assume you were supposed to gain one after your loyalty was tested and you all returned to the tribe with Morrigan."

Aella's lips twisted into a frown, and she sighed, "Yeah, that was the plan. The Matriarch just had no clue where my true loyalties were."

Laina nodded, "It's alright. You don't have to feel sorry for what happened. I'm grateful for what both you and Elpsis did to help keep both Morrigan and me safe." She had almost finished with her bread at this point, apparently quite hungry.

Hearing what Elpsis last said, Laina giggled, "I imagine she underestimated me a good deal." A wink followed to her tribal sister, "She usually does when she speaks of the pleasures of the flesh. You know Elpsis, you're always welcome to test out what Aella said We'll see just how far you get before collapsing with exhaustion." A challenge, yes ... Laina had most certainly issued one for the redhead, should she dare to take Laina on.

Thusly Elpsis was being initiated into the exotic world of the Amazons. Presumably arrogant Coreworlders would've scoffed and turned their nose up, regarding them as uncivilised. Jedi would have gone on long, hypocritical tirades about how she was embaring on a perilous and being brainwashed into joining a dark cult, but she could not care less about the rantings of fools and hypocrites.

It was ironic how people who regarded themselves as progressive, liberal and civilised so often succumbed to presumption of knowledge. The girl was like a sponge, soaking up all the wisdom the older amazons could provide her.

She smiled brightly, blushing a bit at the priase. "Thanks, happy you're enjoying it," she said sweetly. She could sense that Aella felt a bit uncertain about her ability to teach a novice about the glory of the kingdom of the Great White Wolf and smiled at her.

"Hey, I'm sure you'd do fine. Don't knock yourself down. I'd love to learn from you both, if you guys have the time. It all sounds very new and fascinating to me, but I wanna be part of things. I feel more accepted with you two than I've ever felt before. And I really love doing stuff outdoors, spending time in the forests and stuff. The wilderness is honest and beautiful in a way all these shiny, 'civilised' megacities can never be."

Her tone was very earnest. Perhaps she was overcompensating a bit, but she wanted to convey that she genuinely appreciated their culture and wanted to be part of it, instead of just treating it like an exotic fad. Naturally Elpsis could not back down from the challenge Laina had given her, even if common sense might dictate she show a bit more prudence!

"Sounds like a challenge. Are you that sure I won't make you collapse from exhaustion?" she responded, with a gleam in her eyes. "I still need to enjoy Aella though. She hasn't bedded me yet." She bit her lower lip, liking this train of thought a lot. By Elpsis' standards this was a totally normal conversation. Her mind drifted back to some of the mythological questions the two amazons had brought up.

"If the Great White Wolf blessed and created all women, is the Blackened Wolf then, like, the evil one then?" she asked, sounding a bit curious. Maybe it tried to tried to infect the minds of women with patriarchal thoughts.

Laina smiled once more as she eagerly ate the soup. Her gaze shifted to Aella and her little girl.

Aella nodded, looking slightly nervous, and glanced to Laina. "It's just something I worry about. I want the very best for anyone I take on as a student." She sighed quietly, "Time I have. Plenty of that, here. We both do."

Laina nodded, "Between the two of us, I think we can have you covered. And I'm glad to know that you feel accepted by us both. You seem to be a perfect fit for us and what we believe in."

Aella was gently rocking the tiny infant as she looked to Elpsis, "We are glad. And I have to say, your love for the outdoors just shows this was meant to be. I think you need women like us in your life. I'm sure we both can help mold you into an incredible tribe member, and a perfect young lady. We can start training whenever you are ready." Aella then nervously chuckled, seeming slightly embarrassed by Elpsis' words.

"Aella's a little more reserved about sex. Though, it's never stopped her from teasing me about it." Laina just had to jump in. Now there was the question of the Great White Wolf to answer. "The Black Wolf represents the dark side of humanity. The evil sinister things that happen in the Universe. The black wolf created the male portion of society. The one that tempts us away from our righteous duty to our sisters. That distracts us from being the very best we can be. The Black Wolf is the ruler of the netherworld. Men aren't to be trusted. They are just tempters that drag us down."
