Babysitting Blues (Laina)

[member="Laina Silvias"]

Siobhan looked aghast at the idea of getting up that early. Once it would've been perfectly normal for her, but being the queen of her own little queendom gave her certain privileges. Like getting up and going to bed late and expecting everyone to adjust to her whims.

"Far too early in the morning to be early in the morning," she muttered, though she gave Aella a smile. "You gotta admit that Grrbyrr's got good taste, darling. You do look delicious," she declared and gave the woman an outrageous wink.

"Hey, I saw her first," Elpsis joked. Her eyes travelled over to Laina. "I can hold Morri if you want, since she seems to like me." The redhead had mostly finished her plate and, at the sight of his mistress, Grrbyrr had left her grasp and hopped over to her. << Momma >>

Coryth had gotten the message and well, she hadn't been all that sure of how she'd respond. "Yes, it's been a while. And I'm fine. Things with Kaida are good. I can't complain there." Another sigh as she continued to type out the message. "Whenever you want to meet, I'm around on Tygara. You just have to stop by my place." She wondered if Elpsis would follow through it and actually meet with her. There were tons of mixed emotions and she wasn't sure how it was going to go and work out, or not between them.

Aella glanced between Elpsis, and Siobhan, seeming quite amused. "Delicious though I may be, I so don't like blood getting drawn in such a manner." Clearly she was a little annoyed still, but at least was now slowly getting around to eating her own breakfast.

Laina nodded to the redhead. "Of course you can, it'll let me finish breakfast." Standing slowly, bottle still in hand she rose and stepped over to Elpsis, to help pass the little girl over. After she passed the baby off, she sat back down to finish her meal. "Did you have anything planned for today, Siobhan?" Laina asked, wondering briefly.

"Well, since Grrbyrr was naughty and bit Aella, I suppose it's a matter of good manners that I make it up to her, don't you think?" Siobhan asked rhetorically with a gleam in her eye. It was probably not rocket science to figure out what her idea of 'reparation' was. Here's a hint: It involved riding crops.

She looked at Laina. "Since crazy amazons are gunning for you in a way that's not fun and kinky, we should get some training down to prepare you for what's to come. Mirien'll want to debrief Aella about the exiles."

While the grownups talked Elpsis had been seeing to Morrigan. Presumably the baby got handsy again with her hair, but she was too adorable to hold it against her for long. So empathic soothing ensued and Morri got her bottle to drink from while the redhead cuddled with her. However, then the girl's comm beeped. Elpsis was a bit startled, but somehow managed to get it out of her pocket while balancing a baby on her lap.

Time seemed to slow for her when she saw the message was from her mother. Her heartbeat quickened dramatically as she felt a strong feeling of trepidation overcome her, for she was unsure what her mother's response was. She would not admit it, but she was afraid of rejection. She took a deep breath as she gathered her courage, then finally accessed the message. Reading it over quickly, she hastily typed a response. "That's cool. I can come. I'm at Kerrigan's. Lookin' after Laina's baby. Where's your place?"

Aella chucked, amused by Siobhan's openness. "It's not everyday I meet women as open about such things. I thought that was just the tribal women." The Amazon was beaming, seeming quite happy with the idea. "We'll have to ... arrange something." She winked playfully.

"As long as you don't mind someone more dominate, Siobhan, I've little doubt you'll find Aella pleasing." She said cheerfully. Though that bedroom fun was probably going to be for another time. Since they did have work to do.

Laina nodded, and sighed. She wasn't looking forward to this. "I suppose you are right. I don't like the idea of having to do this. But I know its needed. That and it's not like I've been able to do any training since I had Morrigan. Training had to go on the back burner while I cared for her and my body healed. It's time I start training again. And now, at least there are a few people I trust around to care for Morrigan while I'm busy." She did glance a little nervously to Aella when Mirien's name came up. She wasn't sure how those two would get on, at all. Much less how the woman would behave.

"Yeah, I guess I can meet with Mirien." She too wasn't all that certain of being away from or separating from Laina. The idea made her feel a little alone, and on her own. She wasn't the most trusting of outsiders. Siobhan and Elpsis had gotten off relatively easy, since they both had bent over backwards to help Laina, and well ... Laina didn't seem concerned with either one.

Coryth sighed hearing her comlink beep. She reached out grabbing it and quickly opened the message. "I'm on Tygara. My apartment isn't that far from her place. In the Firemane company apartments. Alternatively, we can meet on my sailboat in the harbor. It's up to you. Glad to hear you are with her and the baby."

"She's dominant, huh? Excellent. I think we'll get on splendidly," Siobhan declared, licking her lips. Alas, fun times would have to wait for a while, since they had to deal with work stuff.

"I'll get you back in shape in noo time, darlin'. Mirien's ok. She's a bit cold to strangers and slow to trust, but she's extremely loyal to her friends. I trust her with my life," she added in a more serious tone when she saw that Aella and Laina looked a bit uncertain. She glanced over to Elpsis, seeing that the girl had gone quiet and was playing around on her datapad. "Anything to add, Elpsis, or are you busy arranging hot dates?" she asked teasingly.

The firemane had completely lost track of what they'd been talking about. So she looked a bit like a deer caught in the headlight and her eyes were wide as saucers, having just received Coryth's message. "Uh, no. Must've misplaced Tempest's number," she said sarcastically. Ok. Wanna go sailing then? I sweet-talked a sea serpent into not eating me a couple days ago. "For your information, I just got messaged by my mother. We're gonna meet and stuff."

Aella smiled, "Of course. Most of the tribal girls sit somewhere between a switch and a dominant." Just the normal facts of life, to her. "Only a handful are actually truly submissive."

Laina nodded, "One can hope. As for Mirien, she's an outsider, an unknown to the both of us. It makes us a little antsy about meeting much less trusting someone new. You had an edge, helping to save me that day we first met. It's harder with others. So while I understand you trust her with your life, Sio .... It's going to take a little more time for Aella and myself. It also doesn't help Aella needing to be one on one with her, without me or another tribal member around. Makes it easier and more comfortable with a sister around."

Morrigan had pushed the bottle away, seemingly done with her meal. Her little tiny hands reached for both Elpsis' blouse and hair to grab them both and cling tightly to them. Her eyes were beginning to drift closed, getting sleepier by the moment. No doubt she'd soon be asleep.

Laina sighed and glanced over to Elpsis and Morrigan. Smiling slightly. "None the less, Aella it'll be fine. You're a powerful woman and Mirien is there to try and help us find the rest of the exiles. It's something we have to do. So just relax, take your time. It'll be alright." Laina was doing her best to try and encourage Aella to be willing to at least sit down with the former spymaster.

Coryth looked back to the reply and typed a quick response. "We can do that. As long as you are sure about wanting to go sailing after something like that. Pick a time and day and we'll meet up at the harbor and go. Just let me know."

Clearly Siobhan needed to visit the Tribe after the Matron was toppled. Come to think of it, maybe she should sweet Galina with her. That would undoubtedly be an eye-opening experience for the little firemane. If she didn't lose her innocence among the Angelii, the amazons would certainly see to that!

Siobhan nodded to Aella and Laina. "I understand. No problem. We can have the interview take place in the villa if that makes you comfortable. Mirien's family anyway," then she glanced over to Elpsis, who was distracted from her typing by the adorable little Morrigan. "I'm glad you and Coryth are talking again," she said. She was trying to be nice to Elpsis! "You two are gonna meet?"

"Yeah, we'll go for a boat ride. It'll be fun...I think," she sounded a bit uncertain, but then brightened. "Talk went well. I guess the big wolf likes me, huh?" she joked, glancing over to the two amazons.

"Oh, I thought you hated the sea. Never mind, she has a nice boat. You're not planning on riding sea serpents again?"

"Totally gonna do that. They're so cute. I'm sure Galina'd agree! Should we bring one home for her?" In response to the trolling Siobhan groaned. The moment Galina saw one of the sea monsters, she'd probably want to ride it, and the scary thing was that Siobhan could see it responding well to her.

"Well, you two have fun. Don't get into trouble," she said in a slightly exasperated tone. Meanwhile, Elpsis had her hands full since Morrigan demanded her attention, grabbing both her firemane and t-shirt in a supervillain-esque vice-grip. Clearly Darth Vader could quit and go home because she was better at it!

"There, there, Morri. I love you, too. Now...ease up a bit," she said soothingly, stroking the girl's little head while sending some empathy to soothe her. Fortunately it seemed the baby was falling asleep. She saw the message from her mother and, despite the uncertainty she still felt, smiled slightly. She could write a response once Morrigan stopped pulling her hair! Admittedly it was a very lovely firemane so the baby's eagerness to play with it was understandable.

Aella still didn't look all that thrilled about the interview. Laina reached over and gently squeezed her sister's knee. "It'll be alright, meimei. You're a tough cookie. Mirien's got no reason to hurt you and every reason to help you."

As for Coryth, Laina had only heard of her in passing and really didn't know the woman. She could only guess the relation considering the resemblance between the two. Some time they were going to have to discuss Coryth. Family after all was a huge part of life. And a part of her was greatly curious to see what the divide between the two of them was, so maybe she could find a way to help patch things up. Well, help if she approved of Coryth.

Both Amazons smiled at the comment about the big wolf. "I suppose she just might like you, my dear." Laina said sweetly. "Were you going after breakfast or another day to see Coryth?"

The little baby girl finally relaxed completely on Elpsis, as the girl's empathy soothed away her worries and helped to ease her off into dream land.

Aella looked back to Siobhan, "So this thing with Mirien, is that happening now? I'm just assuming you'd have to call her and the like. And while I am only slightly comfortable here, this place, and this world are very different. So I'm not sure a change in venue would help ease my concerns and lack of trust. I ...." She bit her lip and paused, "I don't like being alone with someone I don't know." The younger Amazon finally admitted.

Laina sighed, "None of do. There's only a handful of times within the tribe that we aren't without at least one other sister, and almost always its more than that. There's a sense of safety with that. That's where our fear comes from. And unlike Aella I was forced into exile and learned to be on my own without another person to be there and watch my own back. It was quite the experience." Still she wasn't one to coddle her sister.

Turning back to Aella she sighed softly, "I know that this isn't easy and it's uncomfortable. The trouble is, you may end up at another point in your life where you are alone and have to manage it on your own without someone else there to help you."

Laina sighed heavily, and pushed her plate away as she turned to face Aella directly. "This is a controlled situation and I'm certain Mirien won't intentionally be cruel or harsh. And most important of all, Aella you are safe within thees walls. There's plenty of guards and people to protect us. You couldn't be in a better place than this. So, you must meet with her. There's no other option but to face this now. Especially when we need that information to help put the tribe back together, the way it was before."

Aella nodded, though she still seemed a bit on edge and upset. It might as well have been a binding order. She knew better than to refuse her elder sister. "Okay." She finally said.

Laina then turned her attention to Elpsis and her now sleeping daughter. "I do hope things go well with Coryth and that you get the answers you seek." Perhaps she'd had a vision of the two of them together. Maybe not but for now Laina wasn't telling.

Siobhan sighed heavily. She was grateful that Laina took over the burden of giving Aella a cross between a pep talk and an order. It was probably better if it came from someone the amazon had such a close history with and considered family.

"Good," she said with an air of finality when Aella relented. "I'll give Mirien a call. If it's any consolation, she thinks men are inferior and that Jedi are a bunch of useless, pathetic finger ponderers, so there'll be something for you to bond about," she joked lamely. "And she knows a few things about being hunted, alone and unable to trust." Those parting words were said in a more somber, serious tone as she got up.

Elpsis felt a bit awkward while the dialogue took place and she cuddled with Morrigan. She'd only heard stories about Mirien and never met her personally. The few tales that travelled down the grapevine painted the woman as a relentless ice queen who'd earned herself the moniker Lady Vader.

"C'mon, sure she won't bite...much. If she's mean, I'll set her hair on fire for you," she said a bit lamely, then reached out to give Aella's hand a squeeze. She glanced over to Laina and responded to her query. "Think I'll be seeing my...mother tomorrow. Hope it goes well." She wanted to see her mother and find out what she was like, but today she could look after Morrigan. Especially since it seemed Aella and Laina would be a bit preoccupied.

Aella nodded, and sighed. An order was an order, even if it wasn't exactly worded as such. A soft smile formed on her lips, a small bit amused by Sio's comments on Miri's thoughts about men and Jedi. "I suppose that's something." Maybe it wouldn't be all that bad. "Aww, thank you Elpsis, you're quite sweet." Not many people would have found what Elpsis said to be cute, but Aella did. The girl was adorable in so many ways.

"We should be getting ready. I have training and you, have that little chat." Laina finally slowly got up from the table and motioned for Aella to come along as well.

"Yeah, I suppose I do." With that she wandered out the door and headed off to await Mirien, somewhere off-screen. "See you later, Elpsis."

Laina's attention turned back to Elpsis and the baby. "Elpsis dear, would you mind seeing to Morrigan's care today? That way maybe I can worry a little less about her."

Aww. Aella found Elpsis' willingness to burn the hair of people who upset her cute! This was totally sweet and normal. Well, Elpsis thought so, and so the redhead beamed. However, the sweet moment could not last long, as the two amazons had stuff to do.

Aella walked out of the door into a realm that shall remain off-screen, leaving the two women and the baby alone. "Sure. No problem. I'll look after her. She'll be in good hands," Elpsis said reassuringly, hoping this would make Laina feel better. Slowly getting up from the chair, she gently craddled the baby in her arms while she walked over to a more comfortable sofa.

"Thank you, dear." Laina said before she wandered out of the dining area and headed off to find Siobhan. Coming into the room where Sio had called Mirien, Laina quietly slipped in and took a seat, waiting for the redhead to finish the call. Once she was done, she smiled sweetly, if not a little anxiously. "So," She sighed, "Training. What did you have in mind?"

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Laina Silvias"]

"Well, actually training's just a good excuse to get you hot and sweaty before I ravish you. I missed you!" Siobhan joked. She probably believed that she was being exceptionally sly and witty.

She placed a hand on the amazon's shoulder and gave her a kiss. "We can start simple. I've got some training droids you can test yourself against. Some are very sophisticated, but we don't have to start with those right away. And I imagine there's some stuff I can teach you. What did you learn while training with your tribe?"

Laina chuckled, "Well now, I suppose that's reason enough. You just want to see my body glistening with sweat." She paused thinking for a moment, "Didn't you want me to do a tattoo on you? I recall you asking not long after we first met. We could also do that today if you want. Though probably after training, it'll make wherever we put it quite sore for a few days." The pain was not something she'd heal through the force. It had a purpose in their tribe, and helped to show your strength to endure that kind of pain with no relief of any kind.

Laina sweetly returned the kiss, "Simple works." She said after. A nod followed, "Well, Darksight we learned. The ability to foresee various possible futures and manipulate events to achieve the outcome we desire. There was also neural storm. And Force-Flash, to temporarily blind opponents. There's Force-Listening as well. I think Force scattering is really the last thing I recall off hand. And well, there are dozens of skills relating to visions and prophecy."

[member="Laina Silvias"]

"Well, it's a very lovely body," Siobhan said approvingly. Her hand ran down Laina's back to roam over her butt and give it a good, possessive grope while she pressed against the amazon's body.

"And, yes, I'd love an amazon tattoo. Can do that after training." She stepped away from Laina and took her hand, guiding her away. They would take a turbolift down to the basement. "Neural storm sounds handy. Same with Force-Flash. Many folks forget what a good old flashbang can do," she spoke, nodding whilst Laina listed the various skills she'd learned.

"I suggest we focus on building up your combat and defensive skills then. Stuff that'll be useful in a brawl when you confront Her Royal Bitchiness." Totally an imaginative moniquer for the evil Matron. A door opened and Laina was led into a large, spacious training room. Adjacent to it lay an absurdly overstocked armoury. As for the training room itself, it had training dummies and stones you could lift. Some of them weighed more than a ton. Battle droids could be released on command to provide actual opposition. "I'm hopeless when it comes to stealth, but I'm very good at telekinesis, lightning and proficient enough at draining someone's life force."

Laina smiled, a slight hint of pink showed through her white tattoos, a very rare occasion. She gave a nod, "Then a tattoo it is. I'll pull my stuff for that out after training."

She sighed a little not looking forward to any of this training thing. She was far too out of shape for this. It had been several months since she'd practiced any skill to do with the force at all. Morrigan and caring for her had taken over her life. "Well, I see no problem teaching you either skill. It'll just take time and a bit of patience to work through. It's been a long while since I've taught anyone at all. I'm kind of rusty."

And she nodded. "I suppose that makes sense and would be the best things to focus on." The nervousness was starting to show in her voice. Laina was getting more than a little anxious about doing this now. She breathed in deeply as they entered the training room. Laina was so not ready for this.

Her eyes skimmed over the items in front of her, having little clue where to even start. "I hate to say, none of this is familiar to me. I've never used droids or things like that for training and very little modern weaponry. It wasn't something the tribe used really. Well, beyond an occasional blaster. So, forgive me but I've not a clue where to begin. I'm used to much more basic things, with a few specialized skills that didn't require things like this."

Siobhan put a hand on Laina's shoulder and gave the amazon a reassuring squeeze. "It's ok, sweetie. I'll get you back into shape in no time," she said softly. For a change, she was not making lame innuendo. Well, maybe a little bit.

"We can work our way up. It's not that difficult to use a bolter. And I've got a couple sarixi and Sith blades," she pointed to a few swords on a table. They were probably more advanced than what most of Laina's tribal sisters used, but still conventionals swords and thus easier to use than a lightsabre.

"Droids are stronger than a human and their actions are difficult to anticipate since you cannot sense them, but electricity mucks them up nicely. For now, let's start with some basic endurance. Sit down, centre yourself in the Force. Then when you're ready, try to lift that rock and hold it in the air for as long as you can," she pointed to one of the stones. It wasn't the biggest or heaviest. As a matter of fact, it was on the lighter sider by comparison. However, size wasn't what mattered in this case. Lifting rocks was the most boring exercise ever, but it helped build focus before you moved on to more exciting things.
