SPECIAL FEATURES

  • *Shield Projector enables the droid to shrug off most small-arms fire.

*Rolling movement allows rapid changes of position.

*Mass Drivers allow the droid to tackle aircraft or shielded ground targets.
STRENGTHS

  • Shielded: Like the classic design it is based on, the B3H Droideka possesses a shield projector capable of rendering it highly resistant to small arms.

Fast: The B3H is capable of moving at speeds in excess of 60kph, when in its ball configuration.

Heavy Armament: The B3H is capable of combating infantry or light vehicles with roughly equal effectiveness, as opposed to the infantry focus of previous models.
WEAKNESSES

  • Ion Weaponry: Strong electrical discharges can collapse their shields and shut down the droid with ease.

Vulnerable while Rolling: While tougher than the B1H, the B3H can't compare to the resilience of the B2H, and can be destroyed with relatively little trouble while on the move.

Setup Time: The B3H's mass drivers need substantial time to fire between shots, and their power draw is extreme enough that the droid's shields are greatly weakened, or sometimes even collapse altogether, when the weapons are in operation.

Expensive: Like the old CIS droidekas they are based on, these models have a pricetag fit to make a budgeteer's eyes water. As such, Helix uses them sparingly, only in situations where overwhelming firepower and extreme resilience are most needed.
DESCRIPTION
The virtues of the original droideka were easy to see: it was fast, deadly, and had a reputation that inspired many a grim campfire story. Helix intended to make the stories even darker with the B3H.

Possessing all the strengths of its forbear, and a few new ones, the B3H is Helix's newest answer to pesky organic troops standing in the way of their operations. Armed with blasters, ion cannons, and light mass drivers, this highly-mobile terror intends to be the scourge of Helix's enemies, be they inside a vehicle or foolish enough to face down the droid on foot.

Nonetheless, some inherent flaws in the original design remain. The droid's shields won't protect it much against ion weaponry, nor against heavier weaponry designed to crack open armored vehicles. Should the droid be toppled over, the generator will attempt to draw more and more power as the shield bubble impacts the ground, likely shorting out the device entirely.

They are highly vulnerable when moving or unshielded, and could be dispatched with small arms fire, or tripped up by mines.
