SPECIAL FEATURES
- Modular Configurations - Aztlacapalli are modular and can be setup in various configurations, the most common is to serve as the Avali starships main propulsion systems but other configurations designed to provide defensive, and rarely offensive capabilities to ships also exist.

- Vulunerable Target - Most Aztlacapalli are very exposed and large targets for incoming fire.
- Crystal Delamination - Whilst rare, catastrophic system failure (either due to extensive damage or Nouvarium containment failure) can lead to a massive energy detonation proportional to the Aztlacapalli's size. The largest Aztlacapalli typically reserved for Teocalli Class ships could potentially destroy the host vessel and it's surrounding support fleet.
- Alien Technology - Whilst available on the open market, the Aztlacapalli are generally incompatible with non-Avali spacecraft. This is primarily due to the inability of onboard software to properly integrate with commonly available navigation computers and mainframes, meaning specialist software and modifications are required to facilitate and integrate the technology.
Aztlacapalli (lit. a birds wing) provide Avali voidcraft the propulsion necessary for interplanetary travel, in the simplest of terms the Aztlacapalli can be described as unmaned tugs capable of moving Avali craft through the atmosphere or the void of space. They achieve this through a combination of high-yield reactors and powerful hall-effect thrusters (HET). Generally, Avali rate these engines on traditional hyperspace scales, with 1 being the most powerful and/or efficient. Generally such examples are rare, and are considered masterpieces by the engineers that create them and are reserved for use on personal transporters or starfighters, most Aztlacapalli fall within the 3 to 7 range with older models tending towards the latter.
These devices are capable of maneuvering independently to engage with a host vessel, once engaged the aztlacapalli systems become integrated with the host vessels mainframe which provides navigational inputs and commands enabling the host vessel to gain additional thrust. However, each Avali mainframe has limited resource dedicated to command modules designed to interface with Aztlacapalli, with the Teocalli Void Cutters possessing capacity for upto ten Aztlacapalli modules.
Aztlacapalli provide the Avali with flexibility, allowing them to disengage modules and re-engage them with other ships to provide additional thrust as is necessary. In the event of a fleet vessel being severely damaged or suffering from engine malfunction additional aztlacapalli maybe provided by other ships in the fleet without requiring a drydock or similiarly equipped shipyard. This enables the Guild Fleets and their respective khans to maintain mobility with a minimal sacrifice.
Other variants of Aztlacapalli exist, with the second most common being shield configurations which provide secondary layers of protection. Meanwhile, the rarest configuration functions as a weapons platform for turrets and other weapon systems.
