STRENGTHS
- Cutting power: A lightsaber could cut through virtually anything, from enemies to blast doors. Unlike other swords it has an omni-directional cutting edge
- Cortosis-proof: The non-dimetris circuitry in the activation loop makes the lightsaber highly resistant to the negative effects of cortosis normally has on lightsabers
- Force Imbued: Due to its imbuement, the weapon is able to channel Enhance Attribute, increasing select physical attributes of the wielder.
- Crystal: The lightsaber's crystal is one noted to be able to allow its wielder to stay in closer connection to the Force during combat, aiding in clearing the mind of distractions. This enhanced connection also allowed the user to retain energy while fighting rather than losing it.
- No water pls: All lightsabers, unless specifically made, would short out when they were submerged in water due to rapid chain reactions and the instant overpowering of water on the blade. This lightsaber cannot be bathed with.
- Not everything burns: While lightsabers come equipped with the power to cut through almost anything, it will fail to do so against materials such as, but not limited to, beskar, phrik and alchemized items.
- Vulnerable: Apart from emitter guard, which is made of phrik, the hilt is not itself lightsaber resistant and can be carved apart.
- Things uncivilized: While efficient in deflecting and redirecting blaster bolts it is not particularly useful against slugthrowers and cannot provide an adequate defense against the momentum of a slug round.
- Null and void: In the presence of a Force-nullified field, the Force imbuement of the hilt will be cancelled out. The weapon itself will still function, but stripped of one of its advantages.
DESCRIPTION
Every Jedi needs a lightsaber, that much is known. Aveline built her first one on Kashyyyk, using a crystal gathered on an expedition to Ilum, led by
Caltin Vanagor
.The lightsaber was built using materials either gathered herself or provided by her master,
Ammon Rane
. Rane also provided guidance on the art of crafting the Jedi’s signature weapon, ensuring that the few tricks the experienced Jedi Master picked up in his career was passed on to his Padawan. Aveline was advised to make her weapon with a non-dimetris circuitry to avoid awkward encounters with cortosis, and a trapped grip should her lightsaber fall into wrong hands. Rane originally meant for her to make it with a dual-phase function as well, but as Aveline only had one crystal, this feature was left out.After receiving the final instructions from Rane, Aveline climbed the Origin Tree alone. Through her journey she had to both shake off her uncertainties and steel herself for the hard task of becoming a Jedi. Tested by the Force during her climb, she had to overcome several obstacles, including wrestling with a beast blocking her path, in order to reach the top.
Two days were spent at the summit, with only the Force for sustenance. The time was spent meditating, attuning the crystal to herself and the hilt that was shaped around it. Using techniques passed on to her by Master Rane, she imbued the metal with the Force, the result being a weapon that perfectly reflected her own presence in the Force and suited her needs.
Igniting the blue blade for the first time marked a major milestone in Aveline’s Jedi career. Still a Padawan in that moment, yet one big leap closer to completing her dream of becoming a Jedi Knight.
