SPECIAL FEATURES

• Quantum Micro-Drone Array: The heavy vest is replaced by a lightweight core unit and a swarm of miniaturized, energy-efficient micro-drones. Each drone houses a projector for the Praestigiae's Luminous Overlaid Technological Shields. The drone array's movements and positions are coordinated using Legion Protocol and Quantum Computing to maintain a seamless, overlapping field around the wearer.
• Adaptive Quantum Shielding (Predictive): The Legion Protocol utilizes an integrated Quantum Computing Core to analyze incoming threats. By processing threat vectors and kinetic/energy signatures near-instantaneously, the system can calculate the probability of an incoming strike's path by solving for localized wave function collapse. This allows the drone array to predictively re-route power and strengthen the shield layers before impact.
• Micro-Warp Field (Mobility Enhancement): To counter the weight and inertia of the original system, the drones project a subtle, localized Micro-Warp Field around the wearer. This field slightly reduces the effective mass and inertial resistance of the armor and soldier, effectively counteracting weight and granting the wearer enhanced agility and speed.

STRENGTHS

• Self Repairing: Designed with the materia for protection but also the ability to repair itself over time with small damage being a few minutes to hours and larger damage to the drones being days if they are heavily damaged.
• Calabi-Yau: Designed within to allow the compact design as various components can be within a singular space and the manifold created.
• Mobility & Portability: The relocation of shielding components to the micro-drone array and the use of the Micro-Warp Field fundamentally resolves the Weight issue. The vest is now a lightweight, materia-lined conduit shell for armor, granting the soldier full agility and speed.
• Adaptive Directional Shielding: The drone array allows the shielding to be truly adaptive and omni-directional. The field layers are constantly adjusted and reinforced based on the Quantum Computing Core's predictive analysis, ensuring maximum defense is always applied to the predicted point of impact, while maintaining the unidirectional property (allowing internal fire outward).

WEAKNESSES

• Self repairing: While it can repair its own micro stress fractures the capabilities can take days to hours depending on how damaged they become from use.
• Exotic Particles: Largely unknown and not seen in the galaxy before. It isn't invincible nor is it really strong but it reacts violently near dark and anti-matter which can disrupt and destroy it or even cause it to rupture and disintegrate.
• Paired: THe calabi-yau is a paired principal existing in even dimensional space (4th dimensional, 6th dimensional ect) Which requires precise calibration and tuning.
• Drone Vulnerability: The entire defense relies on the swarm's coherence. A focused EMP attack or a specific high-frequency counter-wave could temporarily disrupt the quantum entanglement and communication links between the Micro-Drone Array, causing a brief, critical gap in the adaptive shielding before the Legion Protocol can re-establish synchronization.
• Micro-Warp Field Feedback: While enhancing mobility, sustained damage or extreme environmental pressure could cause a momentary feedback loop in the Micro-Warp Field, resulting in localized, debilitating inertial shock to the wearer.

DESCRIPTION
Designed by Miyoung of the Commonwealth and funded by Junko and Shoma. The young and brilliant mind was in charge of their more advanced forms of study and looked towards a combination of science, mystical aspects like the force and most importantly mythology not just from Atrisia's past but also from a number of other areas of the galaxy. Miyoung saw ways that they would be able to improve their designs for weapons but also applied it to armor and defensive means. The Saso shielding units being upgraded into the Saso Mobile Adaptive Shielding System (SMASS) is a revolutionary defense paradigm. It replaces heavy, fixed armor with a lightweight core and a cohesive Quantum Micro-Drone Array that constantly projects and reinforces the layered shielding around the wearer. The system's intelligence is its primary defense. The Quantum Computing Core constantly analyzes the battlefield, allowing the Legion Protocol to predictively position the shield's strength to meet an attack vector before the projectile arrives, moving past passive defense into active, proactive engagement. The addition of the Micro-Warp Field allows heavily armored troops to move with unprecedented speed and agility, while the distributed power and advanced materia ensure the system is self-repairing and dramatically safer than its predecessor. The SMASS turns the heavy trooper into a mobile fortress capable of instantly adapting to any threat.Miyoung looked at it along with several of their variable weapon systems, armor upgrades and how it would inspire a new generation of armor for their combat units.
