  • Atreus Rhobar is an Imperial Praetorian and Lord General of the Ninth Imperial Army, a defender of the Imperial ideals and states, a warrior trained in a ruthless regime for a cause that demands absolute devotion. The enigmatic figure is a renowned commander, particularly for his frontline leadership and martial prowess while also an astute flag officer for operational and strategic farsight.

A former guard in the Galactic Empire, he now leads a strong remnant military force devoted to the purity of the New Order, rather than a figurehead or symbol of power in a fight for survival. Rhobar seeks to gather Imperial aligned warlords and systems under one banner, not to enforce a singular aspect of Imperialism, but to ensure it will rise again, to offer the galaxy a chance for civilisation and order that it direly needs.

His patient, almost silent, personality is in complete opposite to his flamboyant presence. Always clad in red and black, carrying a mighty weapon and leading as beacon of warriordom, the anonymous figure never takes his helmet off, never reveals himself to anyone. His life's desire has become a choice, devotion as a standard, a banner that others can rally to in exchange for being a mere individual.

Currently his Ninth Army is engaged in a vicious campaign against a Sith-Imperial remnant that spawned from the Church of the Dark side to pursue its sinister errants in the northern regions of the Galaxy.

  • HISTORY

Atreus was born into an imperial military family on Bastion and therefore introduced to the ideas and ideals of Imperial life from the very beginning of his life. It was not up to him to decide much about his upbringing, as he was inserted into youth organisations and education programs from days of him walking and talking. With his parents planning an illustrious military career for each of their children in the service of the New Order, they would be surprised when one day Atreus was taken from them by Imperial Knights stating his purpose would lay beyond the ordinary military. The young boy was barely six years old when he saw his parents for the last time.

Arriving at an enclosed facility deep inside a jungle, Atreus was for the next years trained and vetted to an extreme. Combat, philosophy, ideology, statecraft, intelligence and military theory, all were taught by ominous instructors in red and black robes and armour. Together with dozens of other young candidates, they were put through extensive programs, their comradery was supported and reinforced at every step. But as time passed, more candidates were sorted out and disappeared, some died during exercises or missions. At night, they retreated into their rudimentary dormitories inside the cold, wet stone walls of the academy and shared crude meals.

Years passed and by now the circle of comrades in their class had decreased to ten. All around 12 - 14 years old, they were quite lethal warriors by this time, had spent months surviving in the jungles and trailed till blood flowed, bones broke and death became an intimate companion to each of them. Over time their living conditions had improved just as they progressed the training program and by now they were fully aware of their purpose: becoming the Empire's most lethal weapons. None of them knew that Bastion no longer was capital of an Empire nor that their program was sponsored through many more layers, darker and decentralised.

Atreus had found a true brother in arms in Xergen, a non-Force sensitive descandent of the Sith species and they had mastered many disciplines together, reinforcing each other, holding each other up and through a relentless but positive competition of who was better. It carried them to be among the best of the remaining members of their class, if not the best. Whenever one was better at a skill today, the other prevailed in another feat the next day and so on.

The next stage of their training saw them face cruel trials and limited deployments off-world, supervised and overseen. They were hunted by bounty hunters for sport, tasked to infiltrate a tightly guarded citadel, exposed to brutal Force techniques, hunted refugees, fought disciplined military units, commanded troops and assassinate people of interest. All in the name of training, all under the umbrella of service and duty to the Imperial cause, to the Empire and New Order.

Another ten years passed before the were admitted to their final trials, now only Atreus and Xergen left from their group, all others having met death, for by this time there was no other standard of measurement left. Both were hardened warriors, unyielding and resolute, skilled to lethality and absolutely loyal to the Imperial cause and each other. Having stood through steel, fire, blood and mud, having fought off horrible beasts, brutal Sith, staunch Jedi, skilled sellswords and disciplined soldiers shoulder to shoulder, they now would face their final test: each other.

Neither of them actually saw it coming, for comradery, companionship and loyalty had to this point be the ultimate standard of their training, achieving everything not merely relying upon each other, but building and enhancing each other. But now they were to kill each other, in the grand arena, watched by the entire staff of the New Imperial Guard Academy of Yavin. They followed orders, they never wavered in their obedience and sense of duty. But now hesitation crept into the mind of Atreus. Killing Xergen? He was his brother in everything but blood. Both of them had been given weapons, standing only few feet apart as the order came. Now they look at each other, the deep crimson of the Purebloods eyes meeting the violet of Rhobar's.

Atreus would never talk about it, not even think about it, in fact, he burrowed the memory so deep that the only thing he remembers was how he was proclaimed victor, bleeding from a dozen wounds, ribs broken and holding the weapon of his dearest friend of twenty years. He never looked back. He understood the lesson, but it was a scar on his soul that would leave a mark forever.

Introduced as an Imperial Praetorian to the Imperial Remnants, Atreus Rhobar dedicated himself to duty more than anything. Even with an Empire fallen, the Imperial cause never ceased its machinations and there was always an enemy to conquer, a bastion to defend or a warlord to support. Since his graduation, he had chosen to become only what he did and accomplish, what he represented. There was no place, no room left for an individual. He embraced and became the idea of imperial service, loyalty and ambition. And never took his helmet off in front of anyone, anywhere.

  • STRENGTHS

    • Warrior: A seasoned combatant raised to be nothing but a warrior, having mastered several disciplines of combat. Primary Atreus is engaging in close combat, be it with melee weapons and blaster pistols. His reflexes, swiftness and control are drilled beyond human level, making him a lethal opponent.
    • Commander: Having been engaged in the Core Wars and a long, practical training regime, he has learned how to lead and command troops from small units to large corps. It is through experience that he gained insight equally into hearts and minds of soldiers that make Rhobar understand how war works, how people approach war.
    • The Eye of the Storm: Patience is a virtue and Atreus Rhobar has all of it. He learned to stand on guard duty for days on end and he has learned how to wait for a perfect opportunity, his level-headedness gives him an edge over rash opponents while his reserved nature will let others speak first and think then.
    • Human: Despite his devotion, his ruthlessness when required, Atreus has preserved a portion of humanity in himself. He treats people well, especially the soldiers under his command and other honourable warriors. There is an urge to guard and maintain a reason for order, for people to live and fight. He seemed to have found one.

    WEAKNESSES

    • Scarred: To become what he is, to be where he is now, Atreus had to be scarred, deeply wounded by a deed that he has banned from his mind and yet haunts him. He will never be free of guilt, never relent to make what he has achieved need ever more to justify what he did.
    • Singular Vision: There is nothing left and right of his ideals, there is no space for breathing, no relenting or holding back. Once set upon a target, Rhobar will pursue it to its very end and not let go, even if it costs him dearly before he realises it needs to let go.
    • The Force: Despite training resilience, mental fortitude and pain, Atreus has no viable defences other than technology against the Force itself. He is not a Force user nor Force dead and fighting Sith or Jedi will always put him at a natural disadvantage.
    • I Go First: It is very rare for Atreus to delegate difficult tasks in battle. He will rather bring himself in danger and risk overview on the battle than to let anyone take a blaster bolt for him.
