ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Fast-Tracking Guns (Ion Cannons/Short-range turbolasers): Fast-tracking mounts on these light capital guns allows them to better track and fire upon small craft such as starfighters, tramp freighters, and other small craft.
  • 220-SIG Tactical Sensor Jamming Devices: The EX-B1 has multiple 220-SIG Sensor Jamming emplacements which have some overlapping fields, making it a fairly capable ECM platform for jamming sensors and communications devices.
  • Ranger Subspace Transceiver with Comm Unit booster: This augmented communications device was designed to allow the EX-B1 to communicate with friendly forces even through its own broad-spectrum communication's jamming, but it can be similarly effective at piercing through opposing communications jamming, especially if the opposing jamming platform is relatively far away from the Neutron Star II.
  • KL-44 Commander Shield Projector network: Four of the EX-B1's shield layers are entirely composed of KL-44 Shield Projector networks, which allows the EX-B1 to provide additional shielding to multiple nearby, friendly ships.
  • Catapult Pressors: The EX-B1 has enough catapult pressors that every starfighter has its own catapult pressor, meaning that its entire starfighter complement can be launched simultaneously and at high speeds.
  • Slave-Rigged Systems: Thanks to the extensive use of slave circuits, modern computers, and artificial intelligences, the EX-B1 is highly automated and only needs a small bridge crew to operate.
  • Predator Interdictor Drives: The EX-B1 uses clusters of predator interdictor drives to greatly reduce the performance of enemy small craft and munitions nearby it.
STRENGTHS
  • Heavy Hitter: The Vagabond packs a fairly hefty punch for its size, mostly in its axial orbital autocannon that allow it to effectively act as "space artillery", with the sheer power of these guns being quite capable of making quick work out many large capital ships in only several shots.
  • Bulwark: Multi-layered shielding with rapid regeneration abilities provides the Vagabond with excellent resilience, which is backed up by thick hull plating and an ion shield generator for additional protection.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Speed: The Vagabond is not very fast compared to many of its contemporaries.
  • Poor Maneuverability: The Vagabond has a large turn radius and is relatively slow to respond.
DESCRIPTION
EX-B1 has been CorelliSpace's most top secret project for dozens of years. Started before the Directorate silently took control of the company from its shadowy network of traders and corporate executives, the EX-B1 was to be the company's ultimate product which would finally take the company from its modest roots to the household names likes of CEC and KDY. But it was not to be, removed from his spot as CEO by the Directorate's shadowy takeover, Dac Therron erased records of the project and moved the skeletal prototype with its design team and construction team out for completion in several uninhabited worlds. Using the unfinished warship to raid and plunder low-tech worlds and capture light commercial shipping, he managed to gather enough funds and crew to finally complete the battlecruiser, which had become almost a legend in the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions. He intended to use the cruiser to forcibly retake CorelliSpace fully back under his control or set himself up as the ruler of some world. But that timing was poor, with warship's latest anchorage finally be discovered in the Atollan System. A host of forces now descends to the system to finally subdue this menace to the galaxy's peoples.
