  • Deflector Shield

Strengths

  • | Mobile Emplacement | The Monolith is a well-equipped platform that essentially functions as a walking fortification. It can hunker down and deploy its mass accelerator cannon to besiege targets at long range whilst also being able to defend itself from ground and air units. Its combination of offensive armaments and defensive systems makes it an ideal front-line vehicle that can shelter advancing infantry under its shields.
  • | Tested and Proven | Like its predecessor the AT-TE, the AT-MTW is a tried and proven design that is effective in all functions that its previous design had shown to be capable of.
Weaknesses
  • | Snail's Pace | While still faster than most larger walkers, the AT-MTW moves at a sluggish pace and possesses low mobility, making it a prime target for escorted bombers. It exchanges speed for high defensive and offensive capabilities.
  • | Soft Spot | Like it's predecessor the AT-TE, the AT-MTW can be disabled if a rocket makes a solid hit just at its underside. Depending on the severity of the damage, the AT-MTW can be immobilized or completely incapacitated.
  • | Ion | Like most vehicles, the AT-MTW is susceptible to ion weaponry. Though most sources of ion weaponry won't outright render it completely useless, it may still hinder its speed and performance according to the weapon firing the ion blast.

Description

The AT-MTW is a heavy multi-troop transport based heavily on the designs of the AT-TE used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars and possesses a number of functions that are similar to it. Most notably is the hexapedal system on which it walks as well as a prominent mass accelerator cannon, grapple cables to allow it to scale vertical surfaces given it finds a proper anchor point. Its primary purpose is to safely move cargo, troops, and light vehicles to a designated point whilst providing heavy fire support. It also doubles as a mobile attack platform, possessing armaments that allow it to attack targets from range while being able to defend itself from enemy ground and air.
The AT-MTW is also equipped with a droid deployment rack just under the front half of its construction, protected in a bulbous sac-like installment that opens up and lowers the rack to the ground to deploy whatever war droids have been loaded onto it. The rear half of the AT-MTW houses a lift system that can lower a platform. This platform is typically loaded with cargo or light vehicles and troops deploy from the underside midsection, where there are a dozen circular slots that can open up for troops to drop out of.
The AT-MTW possesses a few more noticeable features from its ancestor, though it sacrificed more of its forward firepower for a defense that covers it from all angles except below; a pair of drone pads that are operated remotely from within the walker that is equipped with light repeating blasters can be deployed to patrol and provide covering fire within 150 meters. The left and right of the AT-MTW are also equipped with a pair of rotary cannons that have spotlights attached to them, primarily for use against personnel. Above them are a pair of quad laser turrets for anti-air support. A concussion missile pod is outfitted for medium to long-range bombardment or for handling slower-moving aircraft.
