OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vrea Edikar
  • Affiliation: Athysian League
  • Classification: Shock Troopers, Jump Troopers
  • Description: The power-armour clad heavily armed troops of the Vrea Edikar are consisted by the Athysian most skilled warriors. The dark crimson dye of their power-armours and their shock tactics in the battlefield tell them from any other type of infantry unit.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Uncommon
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
  • Equipment: The Equipment of the Vrea Edikar may vary, depending the operation
  • Combat Function:
    • Shock Attacks. Piercing through enemy lines with immense force and firepower, usually supported by heavy artillery or aerial strikes.
    • Jump Troopers. Carried by armoured shuttles, these troops can perform Drop Attacks from long distance, or right behind the enemy lines, from shuttle transports.
    • Starship Defenders. The Vrea Edikar are more than capable of engaging in tight close-quarters engagements, making a very reliable unit for defending or boarding starships.
Strengths:
  • Mobile, Independent. The Vrea Edikar are very well-equipped, which allows them to operate both as part of a larger Host, leading on the fight amidst the battlefield, as well as operate as individual units in either black ops or shock attacks.
  • Force-Sensitive Hoplites. The Edikar consider themselves champions amongst many, being the elite of their Hegemony's tactical army. Their troops, just like most Athysians, consist of Force Sensitives. Although not trained to use the Force as a weapon, these warriors have learned how to shield themselves from Force-oriented effects such as Mind Tricks, Dread Magic and others, demonstrating strong resistance against raw Force energy (Lightning, Dark Side Corruption, etc).
Weaknesses:
  • Proud Warriors. The Edikar are a separated entity in the social hierarchy. Warlike and battle-hardened, these units shall demand a worthy fight, refusing to engage civilians, or non-military targets, considering it disgrace in the eyes of their War patron deity.
  • Starborne Corsairs. The Edikar are more often than not found onboard the Raider Fleets, seeking glorious battle and worthy rivals. Should these warriors are kept in the barracks, or away from the battle, they may cause unrest within their camp or carrier, which most of the times results with heated brawls and several dead.

Hand-picked by the champions of Vrea Stratis, the strongest warriors of the Hive City-State are chosen to become part of the Vrea Edikar Warbands. Highly trained and decisive warriors, these troops compose the Athysian Special Forces elite, with their numbers bolstered constantly by the new champions being selected and trained in their home Hive City-State.

Renown all across their home system, the Vrea Edikar are most of the times led by a Warlock, most skilled Warrior-Sorcerer of their Hegenika.
