Private At least one more hand, right?

Coren Starchaser was a lot of things lately. Jedi Master, expert pilot, expert explorer and moderately more wealthy than he was before. Coren had won the Rimward Trade League race and scored about 150k credits. He was using most of it in saving, replacing ship parts and prepping the family to be well off, at least the twins. Jared and Kaia and Kyra and Atticus were all handled and well off. The twins would need more.

But well, Coren needed to get out and take a few days for himself. Where he didn’t need to be anyone. He and Celeste Rigel Celeste Rigel were taking a small vacation out to Canto Bight. They had the cruise, and that would be the real fun part, to ride out on that ship, but he had also sent word out to Julius Sedaire Julius Sedaire

On Canto Bight,

Got some credits to burn. Interested?

-Starchaser

It was a quick little message but he sent it encrypted through the Underground Network. Coren just preferred to not be found until he was ready.

What he did know now though, was it was worth it. Another hand of sabacc and he looked across the table, seeing Julius, and a few aliens. He had a decent hand and was more than happy to wait for the next hand as he discarded two cards, and waited for two more cards to be dealt to him.

He was always a wisecracker. And gambling only amped the tendency. He had a pretty looking twi'lek with a thin scare across her chin and a wiced grin next to him who had signed on to be his mechanic and was proving to be a fine companion in all aspects. As well as a good martini to hand, and his chip pile grew more than it shrank tonight. When Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser had mentioned coming, he had dug out his bloodstripe trousers and a respectable shirt and jacket. The tie had lasted all of a few hours, if that. Almost casually, the top two buttons of the shirt were undone, and he tossed a single card aside and waited on his next deal.

He didn't get out much these days, and he was watching his intake strictly, but you didn't turn down an invite to drink and gamble the night away with a man like Coren.

"You son of a spice runner, you're bluffing. I'll call and raise, and you'll buy the next round either way."

An easy grin on his face, a laugh from his companion. The stakes jumped, and Julius watched his friend.

The thing of it was, Julius was one of the people that Coren Starchaser trusted explicitly. Jorus Merrill, Jend-ro Quill, Veino Garn, Tiland Kortun, and Zark San Tekka, rounded that group out, but Julius and Coren shared the homeworld, the Green Jedi approach, and they always had each other’s backs. He was hoping that it was would be happening at the sabacc table. He wasn’t going to be betting his ship, not the one that just won the Rimward Trade League race, at least. The Jedi was not looking like a Jedi, but he was looking ever the bit of a Core Worlder who had come into some money.

Looking over at Julius he smirked. Maybe he was bluffing, but he was doing his best to not set off any sensors here, and watched the table. A few others, a Bith, and a Gran, those two were tougher to read, were still in. And Coren waited for the next hand to be dealt.

“I mean, you did see the win, so the drinks, yeah, they’ll be on me. See if we can run the bar out.” He laughed as the dealer, a Chiss handed out a few more cards. Throwing a few more credits on the table, he nodded. He was in.

Regardless of what the cards read.
