At Confusion's Pinacle

Sulen saw the smirk on his face and just gave him a dirty look as he turned and headed in the correct direction, which he may or may not have seen. He took out another of his cigarras and lit it up as they walked. Making a comment about how boring Zakuul was and that he was surprised she even came here, all she could do was really shrug before speaking.

"Well, my ship isn't the best for sleeping in and I wanted something to eat. This was convenient. Besides, I need to get caught up on what all has transpired since I went to sleep and woke up. Eight hundred some odd years is quite a bit of time."

His eyes latched onto a small group of females that passed them by and letting out an, "ugh," under her breath, Sulen listened to what Dominic had to say. When he mentioned the Galactic Alliance, one of her hands clenched into a fist and her face grew hard. It was because of them she had joined, because of them so much in her life was the way it was.

"Is it really same as it was?"

When he called her nice, he got a look from her that no real words could describe. It was a mix of, "you don't know me and do you really want to." As he finished speaking though, his last comment got her interest.

"I assumed they were dead too. The sith I mean. Are there jedi still around too?"

Sulen's audible distaste of Dominic's peering caused him to chuckle a bit more. "Man's got needs." He explained, rubbing his right eye a bit, as if irritated.

Her question caused him to pull attention from his irritated eye and shake his head with distaste. "The Galactic idiots? Worse. They're like a cancer spreading through the galaxy. They believe planets should pretty much just be able to do whatever the hell they want and answer to no one. It's why the First Order is kicking their backside right now. No other faction will really help them and their not heavily liked. Except maybe those tired ass Jedi." He said.

"A new Sith Empire sprouted up recently, and while there are still Jedi in the galaxy it's not a great time to be one. The Sith are about to pave over The Dominion, the Silver Jedi, and probably the Iron Empire as well." He said, an amused tone in his voice. "I hate for my homeworld to be caught up in that mess."

Eventually Dominic stopped, pulling his hand to his eye as he pulled his contacts from them, his dark brown eyes were actually a pristine white that were covered by the man's contacts. "Pains in my backside."

A little bit of a smug look came on Sulen's face when Dominic mentioned the needs of men.

"I guess I'm lucky to not have such needs."

He apparently had something in his eye, but he stopped itching at it as her question drew his attention for a time.

"Sounds similar to the state of the galaxy I came from then. It seems names and faces change, but the same human goals are still there. It is good to know the First Order remained and is still strong. What of your Empire, Dominic?"

At the mention of his home world, Sulen wondered what it was like. She had no desire to return to hers and could care less about it anymore. Nothing but history was there and hers was way past.

"What is the Iron Empire? That is a new name to me. And Jedi are well Jedi, I guess. Peaceful until pressed and then bring in armies of clones to wipe out the trouble and go back to being peaceful."

He went back to messing with his eye, stopping as he did. When he was done, it revealed he had been wearing contacts and that his eyes were actually white. Dominic had mentioned he could go blind at any moment and now she knew why. He had mentioned the miralukan blood from his mother and knew it would happen to him eventually as well. All it took was time.

"What is a pain in your backside?"

Dominic could understand the many questions Sulen had, and he intended to answer them. "My contacts, they irritate my eyes after a bit."

Finally they made it to his starfighter and he exhaled softly, happy to see it was left untouched. Of course there were few people on Zakuul foolish enough to tamper with an Imperial fighter. The planet had remained untouched from the control of others for quite some time now, why ruin that streak. He climbed into the cockpit and began looking around as he answered the woman's questions.

"My Empire, was nearly destroyed, a few times actually. For the first time in the last seven years it's borders are expanding and it is returning to glory. Your Order has done better than us....by quite a bit." He explained.

"The Iron Empire is basically what happens when you have a bunch of Sith that want to be left alone. It's a pretty decent group from what I've heard....fighter pilot's suck." He chuckled.

"Silver Jedi are a bit different from regular Jedi, sweetheart. The Silver Jedi are more militant and less tolerant. Go figure." He said, looking around his starfighter for his duffel bag. "Here we go." He pulled the bag over his shoulders and smiled before climbing out of the cockpit. "Come on. Let's get something to drink." He enthused, closing the hatch to his fighter and leading the way towards the hotels.

"Basically the galaxy is in a state of war. Nothing new there, thing is it's not an all out melee, it;s a whole bunch of private wars and pissed off force users."

"Oh."

Sulen had thought his pain in the back side was due to something political rather than personal and really couldn't think of any other form of reply. Sympathy wasn't really in her nature so didn't feel any for him. She did for his potential loss of eye sight though.

"What is the real difference in ideals between your empire and mine? They both seek to bring stability through rule and order."

Or so she assumed.

"I want nothing to do with the sith so I'll avoid them and the Jedi as well unless they're on the opposing side, of course."

They reached his ship and she had to admire it. Dominic kept it up and it wasn't old like hers was. Granted, she also kept hers up, but her ship was ancient and very likely considered collectable these days.

"So open battles are a thing of the past?"

[member="Dominic Crowley"]

"The difference in our Empire's?" Dominic asked, chuckling at her words before shrugging.

"There aren't many. You have to remember the origin of our Empire's is one in the same, mostly. The biggest difference would be that the First Order has a line it won't cross while the Empire will do whatever it takes to ensure order. Aside from that there is how we treat and utilize Force Users." He explained as his eyes caught a nearby hotel. "Hey, I think that one has a bar." He pointed out, adjust their path so he could led them into the structure.

"As for the wars? Well they're open conflict, it's just they are private wars, not wars of a full galactic scale." He explained. Once they made it inside Dominic immediately made his way to the bar, gesturing for Sulen to follow. "Come on, my treat." He said.

[member="Sulen Dewan"]

He admitted there wasn't much difference between their two empires and Sulen had to admire his honesty. Pursing her lips only slightly in thought, she gave a brief nod as they walked on together to a hotel that caught his eye. Mentioning it also appeared to also have a bar and that he would treat her.

On the topic of wars though, he implied they were of a smaller scale and not galactic wide like she knew of in her time.

"How can a war be private?"

Her look was truly confused, but she followed Dominic to the bar and ordered her drink. So much information, but she wanted her head clear to think and got more water.

Dominic set his bag near the bar before taking a seat at one of the stools. "Two shots of whiskey." He ordered, gesturing to the two of them before tossing a credit chit on the bar top.

"So let me put it this way. The Sith Empire are at war with the Dominion and the First Order is at war with the Galactic Alliance, those two wars have nothing to do with the other Factions in the galaxy." He explained.

"It's not so simple as white and black anymore, there are several different conflicts that keep popping up for different reasons."

Once the shots were placed in front of the two Dominic immediately downed the alcohol, tapping the glass on the bar as he ordered again. "Another, and chase me with a beer." He said, before turning to Sulen. "Understand now?" He asked.

Sulen picked the spot next to Dominic and sat down with him. His bag was on the floor between them. Their drinks were placed in front of them and she listened to his words to get a better idea of what he meant. Taking a drink of her ice water while considering them. Nodding her head as she seemed to have a better idea.

"I think I understand. Instead of only two factions, there are many more. They each hold a part of galaxy and in their little portions, they have their wars. It doesn't effect anything outside of their domains? Basically is how I'm understanding it."

Setting her glass down, Sulen turned her head to look over to him.

"If I drank that much after not having any for as long as it's been, I don't think I could take much before passing out."

She wore an almost smile when she spoke, but a bit of humor could be heard in her tone and pitch.

Dominic, who handled alcohol pretty well, was beginning to enjoy himself. Oddly enough he was also enjoying the company of Sulen. The woman was rather rigid and at times dry but he saw it as a challenge to get her to enjoy herself. He pushed a shot towards her while nodding at her words, smiling in return. "You seem more the type who can handle a drink, best way to get your tolerance back is to break yourself in." He explained.

"Anyway I think something you'll find interesting is a lot of the events that have occurred. Entire Empire's have risen and fallen while you've been taking your nap." He said, downing yet another shot of whiskey.

"The One Sith Empire, the Galactic Republic, the Confederacy. All have risen and fallen in the past few hundred years." He said.

[member="Sulen Dewan"]

"So are our empires at war?"

Sulen raised an eyebrow in question. Here and now the answer really didn't matter, but if they ever met in battle it would be different. If they were, she would almost feel bad having to fight somebody that's helped fill her in so much. Duty was duty though and she would do it.

He pushed the shot glass over to her with a smile and told her to try and drink it anyway. The way to build back up was to drink. Giving him a look through the top of her eyes, Sulen took the shot and drank it quickly. Setting the glass down on the counter and giving him a quite satisfied look. One that might be saying, "ha and you didn't think I would do it."

On the conversation of empires though, he mentioned a few that had come and gone. At the words of Galactic Republic, her face would show real surprise, but she didn't address that.

"Sith never could get along for long."

Dominic listened to Sulen's question and smiled softly at her. "Do I look like the type of man who would buy my enemy a drink?" He questioned, though immediately following he chuckled softly to himself. "Don't answer that."

"No, we're not at war, but we're not exactly friends either. We basically just ignore each other." He expanded, tapping the bar once again, ordering another set of shots. When Sulen took the first shot Dominic had been surprised, so much so he pushed another in front of her. The man honestly didn't believe she would take another but he was curios to see the result.

"Like I said there is a new Sith Empire that's popped up. I get the feeling it's about to make some big changes." He said, exhaling as he downed another shot.

[member="Sulen Dewan"]

When Dominic gave her a soft smile and then asked if he seemed to be the type of guy that would buy the enemy the drink and then laughed saying to not answer, Sulen just shook her head. With a little smile, she reached over and lightly punched his shoulder and nodded.

"Yes, I think you would. At least we're not at war. It would be a bit awkward to share drinks one night and have to fight the next."

She was happy with the answer. This way if it was learned she couldn't be accused of fraternizing with the enemy. Another round of drinks was set down and he pushed a second glass at her. Picking it up, she rolled it around slightly before taking the shot and downing it.

"Ha, bet you didn't think I could do that again."

Putting the glass down, she followed the drink with some of her water.

"Do you think this new sith empire is going to pose a threat to either of our empires?"

As the alcohol worked it's way through Dominic he became even more settled around Sulen, finding her to be an interesting woman if nothing else. When the woman downed the next shot Dom simply stared blankly at the woman, not expecting her to maintain that much drinking. He raised his beer to her in a salute as he downed a sizable portion of it. "Not bad, Commander." He complemented.

The bartender wasted no time in placing another round of shots in front of the two at Dominic's request. This time Dominic held his shot up with a warm smile towards the woman. "To your health." He said, opening his gullet to allow the liquor to smoothly travel down to his stomach. He felt the soft burn the alcohol presented and chuckled softly before setting he glass back down.

While not ever having been the friendliest of people, Sulen was able to see that Dominic was relaxing. That was probably due to the drinks they were sharing. A warm feeling had started within her stomach that was slowly spreading through her body. Probably in what was centuries, Sulen was feeling warm and not bone cold. She honestly wasn't sure how much she could drink before feeling its effects, but right now she felt fine.

Watching as he took a long drink of his beer and at his words, she just inclined her head. Dominic had appeared surprised when she took the second shot and she smiled at him. It really must be the alcohol in her system that took down a little of her inhibitions and warmed her to him slightly.

Picking up the next drink, Sulen joined in the toast and took the shot with him. Setting the glass down again, she covered her mouth to hide the burp she needed to pass. Following that with a drink of water.

"Will these new sith be a threat?"

He hadn't answered the question before they had that shared toast and she was persistent.

Dominic smiled at Sulen as she downed another shot, slightly impressed by her ability to keep up.

"It's too early to tell." He said simply, in response to her question. He placed a hand on the side of his chin as he considered his words. Eventually he exhaled before speaking plainly. "To most people. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The Sith are not most people. The Galactic Alliance and Silver Jedi pose a threat to Galactic Security. All three of the Empire see this."

"However, I don't know what happens when the Galactic alliance is dismantled and the Silver Jedi are annihilated." He said, contemplatively.

After a moment of pause he smiled back a Sulen. "However, that's not the rising concern. The First Order are winning their conflict with the Alliance, The Dominion is on it's last toes, and the Silver Jedi are working on extinction. The remnants of disorder as being swept away quickly." He said before downing a bit more of his beer.

He slapped a hand on the bar before looking at the bartender. "Two more" He said with a smirk towards Sulen. As was requested the two shots were placed in front of the officers. He looked to his before smiling at Dewan. "It's ok to bow out sweetheart." He said, before downing the shot.

"You know, it was thought the sith were dead when I went to sleep. Now there's how many running around? They are up to no good and will pose a threat."

On saying her words, Sulen placed a hand over her heart.

"I just hope never to meet them. You honestly think after those others are wiped out that order will be around?"

Finding that hard to believe, she took a drink of her water and chuckled a little when another shot was placed in front of her. Apparently he wanted a drinking contest. She was sitting down and not moving really, not feeling the slightest fuzzy or dizzy, Sulen accepted the shot and looked down at it for a moment before tipping it into her mouth and swallowing.

"Ah actually, I tink I'm doin' fine."

Dominic nodded at Sulen's words, finding a great deal of wisdom behind them.

"I don't care for Force-users...they think they're above the law. Or worse, they are the law. It's why I dropped out of the Jedi academy as a boy, it just didn't seem right." He explained.

As the shots continued Dominic too ordered a cup of water, taking a light sip before ordering another round of shots. "You're keeping up ok, but I don't know sweetheart, getting dangerous." He said, with a laugh.

After downing another shot he sipped his own water before drinking at his beer. He turned to Sulen and exhaled softly before speaking. "I'm pretty sure things are gonna get interesting soon, it pays to be on the right side." He said.

At the mention of force users, the look on Sulen's face indicated it may be a sensitive subject to her. The fact she could use the Force, but went out of her way to deny it wasn't known to him. She too had left the Jedi, but it was for a different reason than him. The path she had been on would have lead to her being a Ren and she felt lucky that it wasn't discovered within her when she joined the First Order.

"So you deny too the Force?"

The drink had loosened her tongue and if Dominic wasn't too far into his drink he could figure out she admitted she could use the Force as well.

"Don't miraluka see through the Force? You go blind and see with that. You wouldna need to worry 'bout goin' blind. No need for cybernetic either."

He mentioned the maybe the drinks were getting dangerous and she looked at him curiously.

"How's that?"

It did pay to be the right side, but which side was that? She didn't ask the question, but maybe he could see it in her eyes. Picking up the shot, she snorted just a little and downed that one too. She had lost count of how many that was now, but she felt fine.

"Interesting tha Imma still sittin."

Dominic was not so far into his drink that his ears did not catch the words uttered by Sulen. A sly smile came to his face as he turned towards her. "Too?" He said in response, revealing that he heard the slip that she had allowed.

She brought up Dominic's heritage and the boy nodded before chuckling a bit. "My ability to see through the Force is...different. Because I actually have eyes. Unlike my mother and those before me I can't do it naturally. It's almost like flipping a switch, and I need a lot more practice before I could even walk around with it." He revealed.

He glanced over to Sulen, chuckling softly before nodding at her. "Interesting indeed. So tell me, what can you tell me about your time? You must have some stories." The bartender returned again, bringing the shot glasses and Dominic denied him. "Just bring us the bottle, cut the middle man." The bartender offered a soft chuckled before doing just that.

Setting two crystal glasses before them he brought a full bottle of whiskey to the counter, setting it down in front of the two. Dominic poured the alcohol into the cups before sliding one over to Sulen. "Interesting war stories?"
