At Confusion's Pinacle

Taking a drink of her water, she motioned she wanted more so when the bartender brought over the bottle for them, he also brought her more water.

"I havna idea what you are talkin' about."

Sulen listened to what he said about his vision and understood, he would have to teach himself to use the sight if he even could.

"So walk around blindfolded. I'm sure they are na hard ta find."

As she spoke, she would motion like she putting blindfold on. Her words becoming a little more slurred as she spoke.

"No nothin' at all for me. Twas too young to be involved in anything important bein' in military schoo at tha time. After graduatin' that, I joined tha First Order and went through their training. I was going to be navy and gained commander rank even, but then was sent for special trainin' and here I sit."

Taking the offered drink, Sulen gave him a smile and took it down like she had the others.

Dominic took his drink in his hand, though his words did not slam together or drag out his actions became slightly slurred. He downed a few sips of his glass before setting it on the table, arching a brow at the woman curiosuly.

"Oh, come on, you never had any good battles? Must be something in that bald head of yours." He leaned over, tapping her forehead softly before recovering himself. "Fine, I'll tell ya about a run of mine I had a couple years back." He said, downing another sip of his whiskey. "I haven't always been the sexy, deadly, Imperial officer you see before you. Once I was a merc, operated a lot in Hutt Space for some of the big movers."

"They'd higher me and my boys to protect their cargo from the Hutts, pirates, and ex-wives." He joked, his face never changing as he continued his story. "One day we were flying for a company, some big construction company trying to expand into the outer rim. Anyway we had some busted ass X-Wing's that could barely hover without shutting down. I mean seriously these things were horrible!" He exclaimed.

He let out a sigh as he looked back to Sulen. "Anyway it was my first mission flying with this set of mercs....the wayward sons. About two hours out from the destination we stopped to refuel on Nal Hutta.....I left the code punched into my fighter...and it got stolen." He snorted, before putting his head on the bar. "We only had two hours to go!" He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Had to ride with the freighter the entire rest of the way. Plus I was in debt for like two years because of that."

"No, sir, nothin' personal for me. Ma parents though, the stories they could have told. Ever hear of Shadowtroopers?"

Sulen had seen her share of battle, but that would require her admit she could use the Force. Granted she already had accidently and Dominic had caught the mistake, but so far hadn't pushed with the questioning of that. Hoping it was forgotten, Sulen would keep on with the façade that she had no idea.

"Sexy huh? Guys always look hotter in a uniform."

Listening to his story though, she had to chuckle a little at his silly mistake and gave him a smile.

"I neva had tha chance to be bad. Ma parents died when I was a young teen, murdered by raiding pirates at the crystal mines they worked at on Artus Prime. I took their Shadowtrooper armor and have one still. Used the other to put meself through military school. Ya see, I knew," she tapped her head, "tha I wouldna make it on the street. Afta graduatin' I found the First Order or maybe they found me."

Dominic lowered his glass upon hearing of the shadow troopers, he chuckled before shaking his head. "No way, your parents were shadow troopers? That's amazing. My old man was just a security starfighter....and.....my mom was a gardener." He said, chuckling a bit. "But I can grow some good ass tomatoes!" He smirked, before downing the rest of his cup.

When she made the comment about men always looking hotter in uniform Dom could not help but flash the woman a knowing smile. "Tell me about it, you're practically melting at the sight of me." He chuckled before gesturing to the bar.

"Sounds like you had some decent training if nothing else. My old man taught me what he could, but he died on Atrisia before I was old enough to get my own fighter." He said, swishing his alcohol a bit in his cup before looking to the woman. "I wish I was half the man he was, you know? He wasn't an ace pilot but....everyone in his squadron always treated him like he was a Moff....He had real respect."

"They were miners, shadowtroopers and when that went away, they went back to mining. I wasna around when they were raided and killed. I was..."

Again that would be admitting she could use the Force. Letting out a sigh, Sulen took picked up the shot glass and looked at it before swallowing the drink within it.

"I dunno think I could keep a single plant alive, let alone a garden. You see attachment is pointless. So ta care for a plant is a form of that and Imma not cut for it."

Setting the glass down, she gave him a very odd look at his comment and shook her head.

"If I was sure I wouldna fall off this stool, I would slap you for that. Yeah, I'm good in a scrap if needed. The experiment on me was quite similar to what ma parents went through. Only no Force was involved, just makin' me faster and stronger."

Giving Dominic a little bit of a softer look when he mentioned his own father's heroics and that he wanted to be like him, she reached out a hand slowly to not lose her balance and touched him on his shoulder if he allowed it.

"You will, my friend."

That was all she said and she meant every word of it.

The pilot could not help but chuckle at Sulen's threat. Water it was the comment she made about her intoxicated state or the actual threat itself was fairly unclear, yet he smiled at her none the less.

"You know, you're pretty hot for being over half a millennium old." He said, the alcohol giving him the liquid courage to back his already aggressive persona.

"Tell me something? When's the last time you.... Got in the cockpit?" He questioned, leaving an arm on the bar while sipping a bit more of the alcohol.

There was genuinely an objective to be achieved when Dominic spoke with a woman he considered beautiful, or at least interesting. In this situation the conversation had not started as such, yet the alcohol had progressed the evening.

He leaned forward speaking into her ear with a soft whisper. "You know , we could have a bit of fun. Officer to officer." He chuckled.

The drinks she had opened her to being able to feel a little sympathy and humor. It felt odd to the woman, she had forgotten they were even there. In the years since she learned her parents had died, all the soft emotions were gone. Tonight though, they resurfaced and confused Sulen slightly.

His comment about her being hot considering her age, just made her want to both slap him and laugh at the same time. Surely he couldn't be serious. Nobody had ever said that about her in all her years. When he asked his next question, it appeared through her drink clouded mind that he was going to ask one thing and changed it to another.

The original question became clear to when he gave his suggestion. While she considered the proposition, she picked up her glass of water and took a sip or of that before turning her head to look at him.

"Do ya really want an answer to tha question? As for tha idea you propose...lemme think on it."

If she had been sober, she would have just slapped Dominic and walked off. She didn't do that tonight. What he suggested was a little surprising and unexpected, but not out of the question. Sulen either needed to get more drink or to sober up...

Dominic found some amusement as well as potential in Sulens response to his proposition. "Sounds fine to me, anyway you're behind. " He said, pouring her another glass.

The man ran a hand through his hair, chuckling a bit at the feeling he had as the alcohol washed over him once again. "I like to drink, y'know? Started when I first started flying. Worked for a mercenary group of pilots and they could drink like there was no tomorrow. One was a Wookie, one was a Devaronian, and the rest were humans or half-bloods. Anyway we drank a lot of exotic stuff. Hell my money went to paying off my fighter, there's went to hooch." He sloshed the liquid around in his cup before arching a brow at Sulen.

"Who taught you to drink? Gotta say I'm pretty impressed sweetheart."

She had been keeping up and only one drink behind. When he filled the glass up in front of her and nudged it in her direction, Sulen picked it up and had to take two drinks before she got it down. Chasing it with a sip of water, the officer was really starting to feel drunk. The room was almost starting to spin and her limbs felt like she was trying to swim in molasses.

"Aye, I can tell ye like ta drink. It's been since I was at academy when I was drinkin' mostly. Guess it was the extra trainin' I got in secret. Mebe it's in my genes."

Taking a moment to shrug, Sulen took a careful drink of her water again and looked over at Dominic. Setting the glass down on the counter empty, she pointed to it and the bartender brought over more water for her.

"Commendable to paying off your ship instead of investing it in either booze or whores. That was quite common in academy actually. I neva did the whore thing though."

Shaking her head at that thought, Sulen let out a bit of a chuckle.

"In fact, I drank alone, so I guess I taught myself."

When Sulen offered her acceptance of Dominic's spending the man offered a knowing smile. "Well I wanted to pay the hunk of junk off so I could buy a decent fighter. Plus, I didn't need whores, women naturally found me alluring. As far as drinking there was always open drink with our mercenaries. We had this one guy, a rodian named Sona, now that guy liked his whores. "

Dominic chuckled before gesturing to the bar. "In fact all his cash went to buying whores and call girls. " There was a pause before Dominic gave a sobering look to the glass of water that was in front of him.

"Actually. When the Empire took Bothawui I saw him again... He was working for the Rebellion and executed. Not a bad guy, a little off but he didn't deserve to die. He was just trying to make a living.... He just tried the wrong way." Dominic downed a bit more of his alcohol before turning to Sulen.

"Anyway enough sad ass crap. So what does the beautiful Sulen do in her spare time? " He asked, slurring his words a bit.

"At least you had the opportunity to run into old friends. That is not an option for me."

He asked they move past the sad topics, but there wasn't much else that Sulen knew. Her family, any friends she had or even her old crew mates were dead. Her life had not been easy and for the most part, she had been alone. She had purposely kept herself distant from people so not to get hurt at their loss again.

While he had mentioned the whores, hookers and booze before the run in with his old crew mate, Sulen went back to thinking on his words. Playing with her glass, she took a drink of the water within it before speaking.

Not looking at him but straight in front of her, "I like the uniform so yes, I can see how females would find you alluring."

Deciding she had enough to drink, even if she lost the bet, she pushed the shot glass away from her and finally looked at Dominic.

"Do? I just woke up from sleeping more than 800 years. I'm catching up on the times."

Dominic saw that Sulen had pushed her glass away from her and there was a slight hint of pride in his ability to outdrink her.

The man was starting to reach his own limit, of course he wouldn't let Sulen know. "You know the thing about life is, it goes on until it ends. Even if it's been near a millineum since you've been around you'll still find life doest change. "

The man looked to the woman, an interested expression coming over his face. "There is something I find attractive about a woman with ....oomph. You have an aura that screams you won't be beat. Sexy. "

Downing a bit more of his drink the man stood from his seat, stretching a bit. Though the two had downed a considerable amount of alcohol.

"So Sulen, let me give you a night you can choose to forget or not. Take a chance." He arched a brow at the woman while holding a hand out to her. "You don't have anything to lose do you?" He asked.

He pointed out that life doesn't change. It never has and never will. Another reminder of the fact she was lost and out of her time and Sulen let out a sigh. Just gave her a chance to start over, maybe make a new life for herself. Perhaps before returning to the First Order, she should investigate these other factions. Shaking her head, feeling a little dizzy, she took a drink of her water.

When he looked at her a new expression was on his face. It seemed she interested him and his words surprised her. She had never been the best or the strongest, but yet here she was. Probably just an accident, but what he said was true. She hadn't been beaten.

Dominic stood up and stretched, holding a hand out to her and offering her a night with him. Stating she really had nothing to lose. In her mind, she did and that was personal respect. If a look could have killed, then he would have been some sort of steak on the floor, instead he would tell she was at least offended.

Standing up with him and maintaining her balance perfectly in her flare of anger, instead of taking his hand, hers reached out and would slap him across his face. If Dominic didn't avoid it, then his left cheek would be bright red from the impact.

"I have my respect to keep."

With that comment, Sulen turned and walked away from the Empire's pilot. Who knows what would happen if they met again.
