Mobile Cover: The EO Armor was built to take a beating, allowing the user to feel more safe in the chaos of an open battlefield.

Deceptive Appearance: This armor is surprisingly light for how strong it is, making it easier for the average person to wear.

Restricted Movement: Despite the lack of overbearing weight, the EO Armor requires protection in specific areas of the body that make it more difficult to move than other armors.

One Trick Tauntaun: Though the armor is fantastic at doing the job it was designed for, it lacks suitable protection against other threats, such as chemical agents or the vacuum of space.

As the Ashlan Crusade began transitioning into a more centralized nation, there was a growing desire to create a more robust military. One of the steps toward this was training more specialized units, and with these units came the need for gear to accommodate them. The EO Armor was designed with this in mind, creating a way for heavier troops to get to their objectives while lessening the risks from blasters and explosives. The armor itself, while not the most versatile, has proven to be useful upon the battlefield time and again, making it a staple for certain units within the Crusade's ranks.
