  • Unit Name: Ashaka Ik'straktor's
  • Pronunciation: ikˈstraktər
  • Affiliation: The Bryn'adûl | Order of the Ashaka
  • Classification: Mutated Infantry & Bomber.
  • Description: The Ik'straktor are comprised of morphed muscle and tendons that have created pockets of deep separation throughout the body. Usually these deep crevices are filled with bright red sacs of blood that signify the drinking process or feeding period, has begun. These sacs are a hidden weapon used to dismantle enemy forces after the feeding period. The Ik'straktor have gone through a rigorous process that has forced a sinew block of sight, making the Ik'straktor completely blind. While this wasn't a main feature expected through the creation process, the Ik'straktors developed a heightened sense of smell and hearing. This allows the Ik'straktors to predict and track enemies down. Since these creatures were created through alterations of Drones and Aeravalin, their size is comparable to their counterparts making them strong and capable mutants.

  • Unit Size: Large
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Trained
  • Equipment: Sharp morphed hands in the form of hard congealed muscle that stand in place for nails. (These operate more commonly as claws.)

  • Combat Function: The Ik'straktors are used as a unit that can tear through enemy forces by ripping apart enemies with their sharp claws and teeth. These creatures usually drain each victim of blood. This process is called the feeding period, which begins to amass large and small bright red sacs of blood in between deep pockets of tendons and muscles that are otherwise dismantled or unformed through the creation process. Once these Ik'straktors are fully sated, they are programed through layers of correction to rush into large groups of enemies. After which they explode. Once the explosion process has taken hold, the aftermath is a display of acidic and boiling blood that is capable of melting weapons and low grade armor. As an additive bonus, this can also melt susceptible skin, leaving hundreds of enemies in disarray. Although blind, these creations make excellent hunters for their sense of smell and hearing. As a large group for the Ashaka Order, they quickly become a support to keep opposing forces in check, allowing Weavers and other practitioners a chance at healing or meditating on the battlefield.

  • Explosive Warfare: Ik'straktors holster several sacs of highly heated and acidic blood used to explode through a natural process of overfeeding on victims. When the max capacity of the body for consumption is reached, the Ik'straktors are programmed to run straight into the largest arranged areas of the battlefield, predominantly opposing forces to shower them with volatile substance that melts weapons, low grade armor and skin on contact.
  • Fast | Agile: While sight was taken from them, their capable bodies and other senses have chewed away excess muscle. Making these once bulky and powerful beings to become toned and lanky in stature. While they remain a form of strong, it's this very change that makes them more nimble and ferociously quick.
  • Claws and Teeth: While many are used to dealing with beasts that have both claws and teeth, the Extractor has an exceptional grade of each. It's teeth are the very thing it uses for feeding, forming thicker and severally stronger canines to snap, crack or crunch it's enemy. While it's claws are so sharp, they are capable of stopping high-grade blades, but only for brief moments.
  • Drain: The Ik'straktors want one thing and one thing only, blood. They will drain every susceptible being in their path in order to quench their thirst and at the command of the Ashaka Order, they will have it.

  • Vulnerable | Exposed: While the Ik'straktors are feeding on the blood of their victims, the sacs develop are exposed and could easily be shot causing a rupture. While this won't kill the Extractor, it can slow the process of explosion frequently.
  • Only Muscle: While Aeravalin and Drones have a thick and shell like physiology to them. Ik'straktors do not, shedding such a skin leaves them more vulnerable to weaponry that otherwise wouldn't have caused lacerations or deep wounds. Still, thick tight muscle isn't a shell and can be punctured by the simplest of sharp objects.
  • Force Dependent: Created through a intense regimented flow of force imbued substances means that if the force were ever severed from these creatures they would immediately die.
  • Sensitive Hearing: Ik'straktors rely on their hearing when they fight, thus abnormally loud pitches or high octaves could impact the Ik'straktors effectiveness.

Scientifically altered through a mutagenic process these infantry units were once composed of Draelvasier counterparts. Those selected for the process are usually chosen by accomplished scientists when it comes to mixing gene pools and new substances through DNA construction. Better yet, within the Draelvasier society many Aeravalin at an old age volunteer to become part of the Ashaka Order and their experiments. Many of these intensive experiments usually result in the creation of impressive ways to bolster their ranks with somewhat terrifying and otherwise effective abominations the Draelvasier call "Mutants." This unit is another result of such innovative breakthroughs for The Ashaka Order. On the cusp of war, with multiple factions at the Draelvasier's throats, the Ish'makra council demanded an answer. This is when an impactful and unique means to deal with the adversaries knocking on their door came to life. So, they turned to the one Aeravalin that continued to designate time toward the creation process of new mutants, Sylok'Vanari. While many of his creations led to medicinal practices, he understood key principles about the Draelvasier DNA and the mutagenic process. Of course, like any great scientist Sylok'Vanari became lost in his work. Every minute of the day, he and his Ashaka Order subordinates carefully constructed substance after substance, the testing stages were strictly utilized with live Drones. Not only was this the best practice to see where their calculations were wrong, but also, it was quicker than waiting for results days at a time. Then it happened, after a thirty day process of mixing force practices with their new mutagenic application, the first drone survived. What came next, was the true test.

After the administered and altered genetics were streamlined into the Drone, no negative side-effects came from the surface. Instead, deep within the subject, high levels of acidic capacity began to become apparent. Also, the Drone functioned like it normally would. This was a staggering surprise to all, except for Sylok'Vanari. Part of the project was to make a new and innovative creature for them to decimate their foes. So, instead of immediate results on the physical plane, Sylok'Vanari requested an audience to display the true beast that slept beneath the mutant. Using the force, to tug at pinpoint signatures flowing through the creature, thanks to Aeravalin blood, the Drone erupted into an undistinguished tall and lanky beast. The skin of what was once a Drone fell to the floor and all that followed was a sinew and horrific abomination. The melting process that was happening beneath the skin formed an organic landscape of a body with pockets of missing sections of the body, more predominantly displayed around the back and shoulder area. The melting process gave way to heightened sense of smell and keen sense of hearing. Unfortunately, sight was taken from the creature in the creation process, while this was an oversight, the creatures still instinctively could react and predict adversaries quickly. Due to this, Sylok'Vanri realized that giving orders through the force would be the most logical, other than using the Drael language, which later the mutants would come to understand.

Placed in a chamber with several vicious animals found on planets they had conquered to test the combat effectiveness of the Ik'straktors, they found not only would the morphed hands of the Extractor rip, tear and rend the victims, but also the razor sharp teeth would be used to drain the animals of blood, filling bright red sacs of tainted blood between cracks of their bodies. These sacs held highly acidic and toxic liquids mixed with mutagens and force amplified substances. Then, in an unexpected turn, once a large crowd of mixed animals rushed into the chamber, the Extractor rushed into the fray and exploded. With the holstered sacs of blood washing over the chamber the animals began to slowly die off, melting away from the comprised mixture of acidic and toxic properties that were cycled through the drinking process, something that even surprised the creator Sylok'Vanari. With fear that the creations could be a detriment to themselves, Sylok'Vanari continued to work, making adjustments to fully make sure the process forced them to obey all Ashaka members and other Bryn'adûl forces. Fixing this small temperament factor has allowed Sylok'Vanari to build an army of vicious creatures fully at The Ashaka Order's disposal. Later on, the most effective thing about the Ik'straktors would be known in the form of unpredictable changes in the forces among the battlefield, while they would appear normal on the surface, the Ik'straktors would shed their false skin, reigning terror on all those who opposed them at the hands of the Bryn'Adûl's force practitioners.
