Ascendant Sith Empire [beta]

WWV0CpO.png

The Ascendant Sith Empire claims direct succession to Darth Vitiate's Reconstituted Sith Empire, Darth Sidious' Dark Empire and the First Order. Formed from Sith embracing the heart of the Sith Code of conflict, ambition and passion and Imperials whose devotion to order was scorned by petty idealism, it is located in the Outer Rim and led by the Ascendant Imperator, Imperius Indomitus Imperius Indomitus , and his Wrath, Darth Callidus Darth Callidus . With its capital firmly established on the planet of [Nathema? Zakuul? Custom?], until it can reclaim the ancient Sith Worlds, it poses a direct threat to the Sith Order's dominion over them.

The Ascendant Sith Empire is an aspiring galactic power that places the Sith at the heart of its ideology, doctrine, and philosophy, creating a regime where the dark side is not merely a tool of power but the foundation of its existence. This Empire is a synthesis of Sith tradition and imperial ambition, where the Sith serve as both rulers and symbols, guiding every aspect of its governance, military, and culture. The result is a highly centralized and hierarchical system, designed to project absolute dominance and reshape the galaxy in the image of the Sith with imperial efficiency and militarisation.

From the grey masses of the Imperial Soldiers, to the red ranks of the Sith Troopers and the infamous shape of its Star Destroyers, it combines what the classical Sith have to offer with vast Imperial designs, reflecting its Tarkinist and Neo-Imperial ideals. It offers a strong balance between Sith ambitions and Imperial pragmatism to explore various narratives and avenues for characters to take up a truly evil stance that is Empire- and self-serving at best of times. Claim your legacy as an aspiring Lord of the Sith, conquer planets as an imperial commander, hunt Jedi, heretics and traitors as an Inquisitor or conduct risky clandestine operations as a Sith Intelligence Cipher. The choice is yours.

But the Galaxy is ours.

The Lord Executor is the supreme overseer of the Empire's administration, fullfilling the role of Grand Vizier and member of the Dark Council. Further the role is designated as the Supreme Commander of all Imperial Forces in a more or less joint oversight with the Dark Councillor of Military Command. Usually the Imperial would take a more administrative and organisatorial, Chief of Staff like position while the Dark Councillor acts as commander in chief. As only non-Sith member of the Dark Council, they have influence into all ministries and operations.
  • Dark Custodian Guard
Taking the role as the Emperor's personal guard and enforcers.

Sphere of Military Command
The Sphere of Military Command is the central nervous system of the Empire's expansion, defence and even day to day business. Everything and everyone somehow works for or is related to the war machine that is the Imperial Military. Through general conscription all sentient people living in the borders of the Ascendant Sith Empire are drafted into the military and either do their service as Planetary Defence Forces, Army or Navy.

The brain of the Sphere is the Ministry of War that oversees all administrative duties, controlled by a Minister of War who answer to the Dark Councillor. It controls the Fortress Worlds, Military Academies and the Planetary Defence Forces while making sure that conscription is enact appropriately and both training and equipment standards are met.

The Imperial Military, divided into Navy and Army are the right and left fist of the Empire, each able to deliver a punch, but only together overcoming any foe that stands in their way. At their side stand the Sith Trooper Legions, elite and zealous soldiers that fight and die for the Sith without hesitation, their red armors making them stand out.

To control and oversee the territories of the Empire, governors are necessary. Moffs are controlling and ruling planets and leading projects in the name of the Empire, making them another link in the chain of authority.

Lastly and controversially, the Knight Orders are a introduction made by the Emperor. Bound to the throne by feudal oaths, the Knights are semi-independent entities that answer the call to arms when required and fight alongside the Empire. Offered certain liberties in exchange for service, they can be even as powerful as to control planets and are as diverse as they can be.

Only their loyalty to the Ascendant Throne is set and that their recruitment must be done either outside the borders of the Empire or through volunteers. Ideology, Philosophy and Doctrine
The result is a highly centralized and hierarchical system, designed to project absolute dominance and reshape the galaxy in the image of the Sith. Below is an overview of how the Sith-centric doctrine shapes the Empire's ideology, doctrine, and philosophy.

Ideology: The Sith as the Guiding Hand
The ideology of the Ascendant Sith Empire revolves around the belief that the Sith are the natural rulers of the galaxy, destined to impose order through strength and will. The Sith are not merely enforcers or figureheads; they are the embodiment of the Empire's ideals, their mastery of the dark side serving as both a source of power and a symbol of the Empire's invincibility. This ideology rejects the chaotic individualism of traditional Sith teachings, instead emphasizing unity under a singular vision. The Sith are the architects of this vision, their wisdom and power guiding the Empire toward its ultimate purpose: the creation of a galaxy where strength prevails, weakness is eradicated, and order is absolute.

The Empire's ideology is deeply authoritarian, with the Sith at the apex of its hierarchy. Their rule is justified not only by their power but by their ability to see beyond the limitations of ordinary beings. The Sith understand the true nature of the galaxy - it is conflicts, its potential, and its destiny - and they use this understanding to shape the Empire's policies and actions. This creates a culture of reverence for the Sith, where their authority is unquestioned and their decisions are seen as the will of the dark side itself.

Doctrine: The Sith as the Engine of Conquest
The military and administrative doctrine of the Ascendant Sith Empire is designed to reflect and amplify the power of the Sith. The Sith are not distant overlords but active participants in the Empire's operations, leading its armies, overseeing its governance, and ensuring that every action serves their vision. The military is an extension of the Sith's will, its structure and tactics designed to maximize efficiency and ruthlessness. The Sith lead from the front, their presence on the battlefield inspiring both fear and loyalty among their troops. This direct involvement ensures that the Empire's conquests are not merely territorial but also ideological, as the Sith use their victories to demonstrate the inevitability of their rule.

The Empire's doctrine is built on the principles of fear, discipline, and overwhelming force. Fear is a tool wielded with precision, as the Sith understand that the anticipation of punishment can be more effective than the punishment itself. Discipline is enforced at every level, from the lowliest soldier to the highest-ranking official, ensuring that the Empire's vast machinery operates with flawless efficiency. Overwhelming force is the Empire's signature, with its fleets and armies designed to crush resistance before it can take root. The Sith ensure that every military campaign serves a greater purpose, whether it is to secure resources, eliminate threats, or demonstrate the Empire's invincibility.

At the administrative level, the Sith oversee a highly centralized system of governance. Planets and systems are integrated into the Empire through a combination of coercion and indoctrination, with local leaders either swearing loyalty to the Sith or being replaced by those who will. The Sith use their mastery of the dark side to root out corruption and dissent, ensuring that the Empire's bureaucracy remains loyal and efficient. This creates a seamless fusion of military and civilian authority, with the Sith as the unifying force.

Philosophy: The Sith Ascendant
The philosophy of the Ascendant Sith Empire is rooted in the belief that the Sith are destined to ascend as the galaxy's ultimate rulers. This philosophy, known as the Sith Ascendant, reinterprets traditional Sith teachings to serve the needs of an imperial state. It emphasizes unity, purpose, and strength, while rejecting the self-destructive tendencies of the past. The Sith Ascendant is not merely a philosophy of power but a blueprint for galactic transformation and traces its very core to nothing but the Sith Code itself.
  1. Unity Through the Sith: The Empire rejects the infighting and fragmentation that have historically weakened the Sith. Instead, it fosters a culture of loyalty and collaboration, with the Sith serving as the unifying force. This unity is not born of blind obedience but of a shared understanding that the Sith are stronger together, their combined will and power capable of overcoming any obstacle.
  2. Purpose Beyond Power: The Sith Ascendant teaches that power is not an end in itself but a means to a greater purpose. The Empire's purpose is to reshape the galaxy, creating a new order where the Sith reign supreme. This purpose gives meaning to the Empire's actions, ensuring that every conquest, every policy, and every decision serves the Sith's vision.
  3. Strength as a Virtue: Strength is the defining characteristic of the Sith and the Empire they rule. This strength is not limited to physical or martial prowess but encompasses intellectual, emotional, and spiritual power. The Sith teach that strength must be constantly tested and refined, ensuring that the Empire remains unchallenged.
  4. Tradition as a Foundation: The Sith Ascendant honors the traditions of the Sith, drawing on their ancient wisdom and teachings. However, it does not allow itself to be constrained by the past. Instead, it adapts and evolves, using tradition as a foundation for innovation and progress.
  5. Rationality and Control: The Sith Ascendant values rationality and discipline, ensuring that the Empire's actions are calculated and its resources are used efficiently. Emotions are harnessed, not indulged, and decisions are made with cold, strategic precision. This ensures that the Empire remains focused on its goals, avoiding the pitfalls of arrogance and overreach.

The Sith-Centric Empire
The Ascendant Sith Empire is more than a government or a military force; it is a manifestation of the Sith's will, a regime where the dark side is the guiding force behind every action. By placing the Sith at the center of its doctrine and hierarchy, the Empire ensures that its ideology, philosophy, and methods are aligned with the principles of the Sith Ascendant. This creates a system that is both ruthless and efficient, capable of projecting absolute dominance and reshaping the galaxy in the image of the Sith. The Ascendant Sith Empire is not merely a state; it is the embodiment of the Sith's destiny, a testament to their power and their vision for the galaxy.

Ascendant Sith Order Organisation
  • Sith Emperor / Ascendant Imperator
    • Dark Lord of the Sith
      - Nominally vastly powerful individuals, Dark Councilors, can ideally only be ascended by other Dark Lords or the Emperor
      • High Lord, Lord of the Sith
        - Proven and ideally promoted ("ascended") by a Dark Lord for major deeds, actions and accomplishments. High Lords stand out among them for seniority. Typically it is a Lord who takes an apprentice, but any Sith can take an apprentice of lower or equal rank.
        • Sith Master, Sith Knight
          - Every Sith in the Order who is not a Lord or higher. Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Sith Sorcerer as three predominant schools. Sith Masters are powerful Sith Knights who have not yet had the chance to be ascended to Lordhood.
          • Acolyte
            - All Force sensitives who were admitted to the Academy and have not passed their trials yet. They are not considered Sith. Upon passing all trials, they are anointed Sith Knights.

The Council of Nirauan - Gathering Storm
Nirauan | Hand of Thrawn

FfTMIUb.png
There were many planets that had seen war in the decades prior, many worlds that were devastated and razed, their surface burnt by armies and fleet passing by. War was not contained to a few select battlefields, it had not been for many millennia, the dam broken by the clash of not mere tribes, kingdoms or states, but by ideologies. Fanatics, zealots, worshippers, cultists had been responsible for more waste of potential and opportunity than plagues or nature itself. And it mattered not what side they were fighting for, Dark or Light, for religious fervor knows no structure, no farsight.

The Hand of Thrawn stood as a beacon of a clear vision, unimpeded by what dragged the Galaxy into flames over and over again. But it stood also for defiance, for martial supremacy and that a spark was enough to light a fire that purged the corrupt, decadent and foul. The Maw and New Imperial Order had made this world a warzone for a great many times. Wasteful chaos versus narrow-minded hate. The Dark side could not have wished for a better pairing to embrace its nature. Now the Citadel and the surrounding Myrmidon Quarters were deserted. Or were they?

The decay of the Dark Empire, the loss of not only of one of its dual founders, but both, left it headless, struggling and corrupted by the influences of a Sith philosophy that was entirely based on lies and deception, a hollow shell without power and blind, trying to project power. Meanwhile the Sith elsewhere were occupied with the indulgence of their own company, embracing their loved ones and ever on the brink of civil war between its bickering philosophies. But there were those that desired better. That wanted more. And that could, together, bring a turn to events and fates that might go as far as to impact the entire Galaxy.

The Ascendant Order was not unaware of the disappearance of Darth Solipsis and the struggling frontiers his Empire had to deal with. And while possessing a limited military might compared to the Dark Empire, the Ascendant Order did not lack leadership and direction, only resources. Therefore agents were dispatched to gather information and to prepare a summit between the two disillusioned parties: The Imperials of the Dark Empire, staunch, militaristic, pragmatic and the Sith of the Ascendant Order, ambitious, rational and purpose driven.

Dark Empire | Carlac

FfTMIUb.png
The Dark Empire has emerged as a power formed from a mixture of ambition and corruption, led by Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis and Ignacious Korvan Ignacious Korvan to unite what seemed impossible to unite before: strict imperialists and marauding tribes under the leadership of Dark siders that identified as Banites and anything opportunistic. But the structure failed and what was left were the Imperials fighting for their survival, caused by the failed initiatives and campaigns of now disappeared leaders leaving behind a destroyed state that was infested with corruption, petty deception and aimless ambition. It required correction.

Objective I: The End of the New
The New Sith Order was failed interpretation of the Sith Code, its core tenets lacking any foundation in the realities of the Galaxy to control and lead a Galaxy. Seizing control was not the same as maintaining it and the lessons that Darth Sidious should have taught, were direly failed to learn. And what failed to evolve had to be eradicated.

All installations, strongholds and presence of the New Sith Order are now targeted by the combined forces of the Imperials and Ascendant Sith, a great purge that removed all remnants of the failed philosophy from the face of the Dark Empire. Neither can a religious zeal be tolerated, corrupting the ideals of discipline and order.

Purge the New Sith, eradicate any idols of the Church of the Dark Side and show Imperial supremacy.

Objective II: The Rise of the Strong
While the structures of the Dark Empire across its institutions and government are being cleansed by the hammer of the Empire, it had to be reformed and reforged. In a dual campaign, the Imperial Security Bureau has to run programs and broadcasts to bring the propaganda engine running and create the new narrative for the Dark Empire as it ascends with a new breed of Sith at their side, as well as remove any dissidents and opposition.

Craft the narrative of the Ascendant Empire by securing all networks and propaganda channels while extinguishing the flame of future resistance.

The Ascendant Legions are the iron fist of the Ascendant Sith Empire, a disciplined and relentless military force that enforces the Empire's will across the galaxy. As a soldier of the Legions, one is not merely a cog in a machine; but a vital part of a greater purpose, a warrior sworn to uphold the ideals of unity, strength, and order. The Nemesis Legion stands as the iron fist of the Ascendant Empire, a brotherhood of warriors bound by unyielding discipline, unwavering loyalty, and a fanatical devotion to the ideals of the Sith. Clad in obsidian armor and wielding the dark side as both weapon and creed, they are the embodiment of the Empire's might and the enforcers of its will. Within their ranks, every Legionary is forged into a instrument of war, their individuality tempered by the rigid structure of the Legion and the relentless demands of the Sith Code. To join the Nemesis Legion is to surrender oneself to a higher purpose—to become a living weapon in service of the Empire's eternal glory. THE SITH ORDER
Power belongs to those unafraid to take it. To those who are bold enough to openly wield it.

The Sith of the Ascendant Order are claiming direct heritage to the Sith of old, the great Dark Lords and forger of Empires. They embrace their Order, their Empire and ambitions not merely through their willful, personal aspirations, but by their complete devotion to the Sith Code itself. There is no Rule of Two, no Rule of One or any rule thereafter which is acknowledged as anything but a nuisance to actual Sith purity and supremacy. Sith who do not live by the core principles of 'nature is conflict' and in the nature, 'only might makes right', are disregarded as actual members of the Sith Order and viewed as imposters and mongrels.

Formed from disillusioned Sith Lords from all over the Galaxy, forged not through mere submission but through a clarity of purpose, an ideal of unity and a legacy of true Sithdom, the Ascendant Order stands now as beacon for what it means to be Sith, to be fully devoted to the Code of the Sith and not only fight for one's place in the Galaxy but to fight for the Sith to return to their rightful dominion over the Galaxy. All previous ideologies were a degradation, a corruption and weakening of what it means to be Sith, starting with the Rule of Two and ending with what contemporary Sith consider religion and dogma.

The Force is conflict. Nature is conflict. The Sith Empire is conflict. Fundamental truths and realities that require no worship, no servitude or no grandeur. The Sith are rulers by might because they have understood a truth incomprehensible to the rest of the Galaxy, they are not godlike or require the petty validation of prayers directed to them. It is their own strength that makes them powerful, their own powers that make them achieve victory, it is the lie of peace that they undo and rally the souls behind them that share this understanding, it is neither idleness nor complacency that will care for anyone.

SITH RANKS
Passions are power. The Sith know this. We fight because that is what we are made to do.

The Ascendant Order follows a strict hierarchical structure that derives from the Reconstituted Sith Empire. Upholding value to the title of Darth and offering a sole emphasis on merit and might alone for promotion, the Ascendant Order seeks nothing less than to eradicate weakness from the Galaxy, cull the Sith of the weak and elevate the strong to become those who rule.

At the top of its hierarchy stands the Sith Imperator, also called the Ascendant Imperator, leader by right the right of might, holding together the Ascendant Order not only through his own powers but by his vision and the ability to give purpose. Neither vanity, complacency nor absence are tolerated in the seat of the Imperator, for he must be present and leading the Sith Order.

The current Sith Imperator is Darth Imperius, having claimed the throne in a duel from Darth Callidus who now serves as his Shadow Hand, enforcer and voice of the throne.

Below the Imperator are the Dark Lords, traditionally of the Dark Council, rulers of the Spheres of the Empire, administrators, generals, enforcers of their specifics domains, directing them with unquestioned authority and unyielding momentum. It is their vision that shapes the Sith, their direction that guides the purposes of the lesser Sith and their power that forges the Sith together.

In direct service to each Sphere stand the High Lords and Lords of the Sith, ambitious individuals who have ascended from the mere ranks of the Sith Knights, have either amassed influential powerbases, pure might or both and are now among the most powerful figures of the Sith. In the days of old, the distinction was made between Lord and Dark Lord by only granting the latter the title of Darth, but lackluster traditions and petty aspirations have allowed every mongrel to take up the now meaningless title. Now the High Lord is considered a prime successor for a seat on the Dark Council and often a lieutenant of the Dark Councilor they are sworn to. Only a Dark Lord may elevate a Sith Knight to become a Sith Lord.

The vast masses of the Sith are the Sith Knights or simply Sith. Having passed their Acolyte Trials at the Sith Academy, they are now officially recognised as Sith and will serve in respective Spheres to fulfill their duties to the Order and Empire. There is no general training, nothing voluntarily yielded, as all must crave for their advancement, earn it and aspire to the heights that make them stand out from black robed masses. They abilities, skills and influence vary greatly from fresh Incipients into the Order to veteran Sith Masters who have not had the favor of a Dark Lord to ascend them but taken on an apprentice on their own.

The Sith Acolytes are not considered to be Sith, they are merely applicants for the Order and will undergo brutal training in harsh conditions under the watchful and draconian eyes of Overseers to advance to their trials and earn their right to be called Sith once they pass those trials.

The ranks of the Sith are based on a hierarchy of absolute power, unhinged authority and a purpose that is passed down from top to bottom to create a unifying force within the Order. Might makes right, at every turn, peace is a lie, without exception, and both are devoted to achieving the ultimate supremacy of the Sith Order.

SITH SCHOOLS
This is real Sith strength, and he will tear you apart and crush your bones, slaves. Look on him. No connections left in the world but pure Sith blood.

School of the Warrior
The Sith with the most primordial and elemental connection to their passions become Sith Warriors. They unleash their emotions through the art of combat, directly engaging and destroying the enemies of the Order and Empire. They channel their hatred, their wrath and fury into becoming the ultimate weapon of the Sith.
  • Sith Juggernaut: The epitome of willpower, a Sith Juggernaut does not only wield the Force with precision, clad in heavy armor but is the incarnation of strength. Their resilience, physical and mental, is beyond human comprehension and they will outlast any adversary.
  • Sith Marauder: There is nothing more terrifying than to meet a Sith Marauder on the battlefield, an avatar of rage that is unhinged, unleashed, unchained. A force of nature that knows nothing but forward momentum, nothing less than ultimate offensive.
  • Sith Warlord: Combat is a personal expression, but conflict is the natural state of the Galaxy. To wield a lightsaber or to wield an army, the Sith Warlord is devoted to both, but to command troops into battle and crush resistance of worlds, is the Warlords true calling.
School of the Sorcerer
Among the Sith, few are as infamous as those that are Sith Sorcerers. They seek the deepest knowledge, ancient lore and darkest secrets, not to guard them, but to embrace them. The Force is not a mere instrument of power in their hands, but tool of creation, destruction and change.
  • Sith Ritualist: The art of ritualism sees the participation of many, but the understanding of only a few. The Sith Ritualists are masters of preparation, patience and perfecting the flawless. Their craft is that of highest precision and timing, their impact on the Order and even the Galaxy beyond imagination.
  • Sith Alchemist: Nature has a way of creation, its evolution a marvel of life. Sith Alchemists are those that force their will into it, their vision onto it and create, twist, change what they want, what they can. It is the ultimate expression of impact, of will and the influence of the Dark side.
  • Sith Sorcerer: The Sith Sorcerer itself is devoted to use the Dark side at its fullest, from the powers of Lightning or Telekinesis, to the vast repository that is Sith Magic, they know neither limits nor equals in their mastery of the what is the Dark side of the Force.
School of the Inquisitor
Mastery of the Dark side or combat may be what defines Sith, but they are not the only aspects a Sith can master to dominate. The Sith Inquisitors are working knowledge, information, politics and intelligence with masterful precision and ease.
  • Sith Assassins: Among the most shadowy and unknowns of the Sith Order are the Sith Assassins. Murderers, killers, enforcers, saboteurs who are renowned for their ruthless and remorseless attitude, shadowy nature and resourceful skills.
  • Sith Inquisitor: The path of the Sith Inquisitor is not limited to the Sith Inquisition, but describes the political approach to power, the specialisation that deals with the intricacies of scheming, intrigue, administration, intelligence, diplomacy and economy.
  • Sith Adjudicator: More akin to the mentality of the Warrior, the Magistrate is a prosecutor, an adjudicator and judge. They have chosen the domain of law and order as their specialisation and are entirely focused on enforcing it without hesitation.

THE EMPIRE
My 'vision' is of an Empire ready to fight across the battlefield of life. That is all I require.

The Empire is not a mere vessel for the Sith to realise their potential, it is a perfect symbiosis of two organisms that embrace and reinforce each other. Exploited, ignored, oppressed and abused - the terms commonly associated with the dealings of Sith towards their 'lesser' imperial subjects. A concept inherited by the mongrelised supremacy of the Rule of Two and its petty successors where they thought themselves better, superior, beyond judgement. The Sith are beyond judgement. But it is not their arrogance and pride that puts them there, it is their strength, the strength and farsight to understand the assets and practicality of those who stand and fight beside them.

The Sith do not seek to support the weak, they will not tolerate their presence. But their Empire does not breed weakness, it breeds competence, passion and unity. It is the military and industrial complex that is elevated to embrace the universal truth of that nature is conflict, it is the Empire that becomes war made manifest and pursues its goals by any means necessary. The Sith do not act as the mindless oppressors or blind butchers, but as guides, as exemplars and unifying force. For those who stand united in passion, will stand united in conquest.

The Empire acts on the same rigid hierarchy as the Ascendant Order, it does not yield exceptions or special treatment to anyone. Competence, skill and discipline are the iron tenets that lay the foundation, a foundation that is shared among Sith and Imperials alike. The ways of upbringing may differ, the specific education and skill taught, but the embrace of committing to a common purpose is expected of all equally.
