OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Shipyards Name: Artemis Mobile Shipyard
  • Classification: Mobile multi-role shipyard
  • Location: Mobile
  • Affiliation: Concord Specialized Technologies, Clan Gred, Mandalorians
  • Population: Sparsely Staffed
  • Accessibility: Variable. Generally fairly accessible, as it's location is usually public, but can become a more hidden operation.
  • Description: A large, spaceborn shipyard, the Artemis is a boxy, asymmetric station that has been modified to be mobile, possessing both a 0.5 class hyperdrive and a set of engines. The bulk of the station consists of a massive hanger bay, capable of housing even cruisers, and an outer spar for cruiser and star destroyer production.
OPERATIONS INFORMATION
  • Production: Droids, weapons, strike craft, freighters, corvettes, frigates, cruisers, star destroyers
  • Specialty: Construction of modified and unique craft.
  • Output: Mixture of hand crafted and mass produced. Depends on the produce and/or precision required.
  • Market: Mandalorians, individual customers, almost anyone who isn't a criminal, and some that are.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Production Hanger "Main Street": Nicknamed "Main Street" by those who work there, the main production hanger is the busiest part of the station. Housing the various production lines, completed products ready for shipping, and the stations construction vehicles. This is also considered the backbone of station operations. This area can produce anything from droids to cruisers.

Production Spar "Star Spar": The outer spar used in the production of both cruisers and star destroyers, leading to it's nickname of "Star Spar," is another highly active area. While not as busy as Main Street, the spar is the perfect for the production of large capital ships.

R&D Lab: A subsection Main Street, the R&D Lab is where new developments are made on the Artemis. It's not much different from other research areas.

Prudii'yiam: Meaning "Shadow Home" in Mando'a, this recent expansion to the Artemis was built to serve as a form of shadow port for Mandalorians that need a place to hideout, or simply a place to live. No one outside of the Mandalorians are told what this place is, and outsiders are simply told that it is and expansion of the R&D Lab. This area has twenty living quarters, ranging from individual to family, a galley, and a bar, as well as encrypted communications to other Mandalorian shadow ports.

SECURITY
High
: Those who live on the station are Mandalorians, and are more than willing to fight off anyone who tries to enter. Computers are also heavily encrypted with limited networking. The Artemis is also equipped with heavy shields and armor.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Found within a asteroid belt by Clan Gred, the station was quickly adapted into a fully functional shipyard, and gave her a set of engines and a hyperdrive. Once they finally got the station somewhere safe, the major overhaul began, heavily influenced by the battle of Concord Dawn and the need for yard to be mobile. Fitting the newly named Artemis with a class 0.5 hyperdrive and the heaviest shields and armor they could find. While the main goal of the design is for the Artemis, it was also made to be able to survive the riggers of any fight if it can't run.

Later, the Prudii'yiam was added to the station. This addition turned part of the shipyard into a small Mandalorian shadow port. This expansion is not, however, public knowledge, and is referred to as R&D space in official schematics.
