SPECIAL FEATURES

• Appearing similarly to the armor-piercing arrow designed by the Auriel's quiver fabricator, an Arrow of Absence has another surprise contained within the arrowhead. Embedded within the arrowhead is a pebble sized piece of Absencite, capable of emitting a void stone suppression field of approximately one meter in radius when an electrical current is passed through the crystal. The nanites used to construct the arrow around the Absencite are able to channel the necessary charge into the arrowhead for roughly five Galactic Standard Minutes before their stored charge runs out, activated via a signal receiver in the arrowhead and a command from a user's bow glove or HUD.

STRENGTHS

• Utilizing Absencite, an Arrow of Absence can create a one-meter radius void stone suppression field around the arrowhead of the arrow when an electrical charge is passed through into the arrowhead when a given signal command is given by the archer, cutting off a Force User from their abilities to a high degree or at the very least muting their connection as long as the field is around them.
• Because the arrow utilizes an armor-piercing arrowhead, the projectile is still an effective weapon for piercing armor of enemy targets and has a high degree of stopping power when fired.

WEAKNESSES

• The suppression field created by an Arrow of Absence is centered around the arrowhead, so if a target is able to remove the arrow some way, they can throw it away and remove themselves from the suppression field and regain the full extent of their abilities.
• Each arrow only contains a charge within it that fuels the needed electrical charge for the Absencite for roughly five Galactic Standard Minutes.
• Due to the complexities of Absencite, formed as it is from molecularly realigned void stone, the quiver of an Auriel bow can't create that material itself. For an Arrow of Absence to be created, Absencite must be loaded into the quiver as a material itself for the nanites to form around or an arrow must already be fabricated from Aurora Industries.

DESCRIPTION

Developed as the first specialized ammunition for Aurora Industries' line of combined energy and kinetic bows, Arrows of Absence are intended to be a useful tool for archers that find themselves engaged with Force Sensitives. Making use of Absencite, Aurora Industries' proprietary alteration of void stone, the arrow is formed by the company's nanites around pebble sized pieces of the Otherworld origin crystal to become an armor piercing arrowhead and shaft. When fired and impacting against a target or surface, the archer can send a signal through their bow glove or an integrated HUD to trigger an electrical charge contained within the nanites to be channeled into the crystal and activating its Force suppression field effects within a one-meter radius of the arrowhead for the next five minutes.

Because the arrow utilizes the armor-piercing arrowhead, due to its design being a heavier and larger arrowhead, the projectile also has a high degree of stopping power and penetration ability, making it a still useful ammunition even if its suppression features are not needed in the moment.
