TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Effective Range: Point Blank - Can only be used effectively when activated at a very short range before ramming.
  • Rate of Fire: Average - Can be active for 5-10 seconds with a recharge time of a few minutes.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Generates a plasma envelope in front of a warship for the purposes of ramming maneuvers
STRENGTHS
  • Uppercut: The plasma ram can punch through the deflector shielding of many capital ships, before splitting open its armour and carving through internal bulkheads. If a ship is unlucky enough to have its shields already depleted by the time a ramship gets into position the weapon may simply bisect it.
  • Flashpoint: When active the ram may destroy or disrupt any munitions that strike it, providing frontal defense to a charging ramship.
WEAKNESSES
  • Unwieldy: The plasma ram is a forwards facing, fixed weapon. The entire ship must line up with the target in order to do damage.
  • Ram: The weapon has an extremely short range, and the plasma field is projected mere meters in front of the ship using it.
DESCRIPTION

The Arms Dynamics Plasma Ram is a weapon created to give Nothmiro Peacekeeper Corps light cruisers the ability to punch far above their weight class in close-in capital warship combat. The ram utilizes design components of tools such as plasma torches to project an envelope of focussed high-energy plasma capable of punching through some of the best armored capital warships in the galaxy. Even if the ram does not fully bisect the enemy warship or smash through a portion, the design ensures the ramming light cruiser will not become stuck in the gap it has created or damaged by the debris it creates.

I’ve added two sections that should clear up the characteristics you specified

  • Effective Range: Point Blank - Can only be used effectively when activated at a very short range before ramming.
  • Rate of Fire: Average - Can be active for 5-10 seconds with a recharge time of a few minutes.
If needed I can add another weakness as well.
