TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Gravity weapon
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Average
  • Ammunition Type: Power cell
  • Ammunition Capacity: Low
  • Effective Range: Average
  • Rate of Fire: High
  • Stopping Power: Very High

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Combined tractor-pressor beam with an artificial gravity generator
  • Damage scaled based on the target’s mass
STRENGTHS
  • Snap: The rapid increase in the mass of a single limb can result in broken bones and torn muscles in organics, and in burnt servos and ruined cabling if used against mechanical foes.
  • Crunch: If used on extremely dense materials it can result in the crushing or incapacitation of the target.
WEAKNESSES
  • 0g: Since the weapon’s effect is based on the increase in weight it has no effect in 0g, and reduced effect in low g environments like small moons.
  • Interruptible: If something large enough intercepts the beam the Phaeron generates the effect will be blocked from affecting the target.
  • Charge: The weapon must engage in a four second charge time before it begins to emit the beam, during this time it will glow and emit an audible whine that gives warning to anyone nearby.
DESCRIPTION

The Phaeron Grav-Gun is a highly experimental weapon combining the effects of a tractor-pressor beam and artificial gravity generator. The effect of the weapon is making the targeted object or part of an object weigh nearly nine times it’s normal mass. This effect is very useful on starships with artificial gravity and planets with more than 0.5g as the target becomes dismembered by the sudden increase of their limb’s mass or simply crushed under their own massive weight. The drawback is that the weapon is useless in 0g environments as the increase in mass won’t allow for the crushing of the target.

The intent behind the Grav-Gun is to provide a reliable way to kill or incapacitate force users, especially those using lightsabers. The beam won’t be interrupted by lightsabers, and force powers are unable to prevent the beam from being effective outside of extreme instances or the intervention of another force user.

A decent design Chris Walker Chris Walker but it not having a listed counter is the only qualm. As I know a handful who use weight reduction or heavy gravity training. Military forces on worlds like Carida. If you could add something that would be available to counter a hit would be nice. Right now it reads more like an autohit.
