Description: Slow and powerful, the Ariane class is a contender to be feared due to its thick and heavy hull, along with durable shields and an array of weaponry all meant to create a warship capable of trading blows with Capital ships with confidence. Meant as a companion to the Thuella class centerpiece, the Ariane class cruiser is meant to be fielded in a group around the Thuella as a flagship of a fleet while receiving more support from the Illyria class frigates also of Firemane design. The design of the Ariane cruiser is meant for exactly what it appears. An offensive tool meant to devastate enemy fleets and defend its companion vessels. Able to bear a heavy amount of damage, the Ariane class is somewhat slower than others of the cruiser class. It works best when used in conjunction with other supporting craft such as the Thuella or Illyria to help compensate for its slower nature and lack of starfighter support, though the gunships it carries do make up for some of this lacking. Named to honor one of the most famous Queen's in the Eldorai peoples history, this cruiser class is as mighty and strong as she was during her rule.
