GENERAL INFORMATION
- Name: Slime Areyer
- Designation: Sentient
- Origins: Artificially created by Nyva Shei within the Shadow Laboratory on Taspir III.
- Average Lifespan: Approximately 500 standard years.
- Estimated Population: Unique; one known individual.
- Description: A Slime is a sentient organism composed entirely of translucent, viscous biological matter. Its body possesses no permanent skeleton or fixed internal organs and can shift between a shapeless liquid state and a stable humanoid appearance.
The only known Slime, Areyer, generally resembles a human woman approximately 1.70 metres tall. She can reproduce hair, clothing, jewellery and facial features using her own substance, preserving the appearance and identity she possessed before her transformation.
The species originated from an experimental gelatin developed by Nyva Shei. Once injected into a human body, this substance progressively converts its tissues, bones and organs into living gelatinous matter until the original body is completely liquefied. The resulting organism retains its consciousness, memories and identity while acquiring an entirely new biological constitution.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
- Breathes: No conventional respiration required. Slimes can remain underwater indefinitely and survive exposure to the vacuum of space without asphyxiation. Areyer nevertheless prefers Type I atmospheres.
- Average Height of Adults: Approximately 170 cm in humanoid form.
- Average Length of Adults: N/A.
- Skin Color: Translucent green, with varying shades.
- Hair Color: Translucent green.
- Distinctions: Slimes possess a polymorphic body capable of changing consistency and redistributing its existing mass. Their regenerative properties originate from biological characteristics of the Firrerreo, while their electrical metabolism derives from adaptations inspired by mynocks. Their gelatinous substance can absorb, conduct, store and release electrical energy. Their visual structures function both underwater and above the surface. Areyer possesses a defined amount of body matter and cannot generate unlimited mass.
- Races: Only one known variant, the Green Slime. Additional variants would require further experimentation.
- Force Sensitivity: Not inherently Force-sensitive. Areyer retained the Force connection she possessed before her transformation, but another Slime would not necessarily possess this ability. Her biological characteristics function independently of the Force.
- Liquid Physiology: Slimes can reshape their bodies, assume humanoid forms and pass through sufficiently small openings. Their lack of fixed vital organs provides exceptional resistance to conventional piercing injuries. Blades and projectiles can pass through their substance, which subsequently reforms.
- Firrerreo Regeneration: Biological characteristics derived from the Firrerreo allow Slimes to repair severe injuries, regenerate lost limbs and reconstruct their bodies after otherwise fatal damage, including decapitation. Regeneration depends on the amount of viable biological matter remaining. Their generated clothing, being composed of the same substance, can also be reformed. She can seeing perfectly under liquid too.
- Mynock-Derived Electrical Metabolism: Inspired by the natural energy-feeding capabilities of mynocks, Slimes can absorb, conduct and store large quantities of electricity within their gelatinous bodies. Electricity forms an integral part of their physiology, serving as an additional energy source that supports biological activity, regeneration and the maintenance of their physical form. They can absorb electricity from generators, batteries, power conduits and other accessible electrical sources without suffering damage from the absorption process.
- Electrical Resistance: Their conductive physiology provides exceptional resistance to conventional electrical attacks. Incoming electricity can be absorbed and added to their energy reserves rather than causing injury.
- Electrical Discharges and Plasma Projection: Slimes can release stored electricity through direct physical contact or concentrate it into powerful plasma beams. Areyer can produce several smaller concentrated shots or unleash a devastating beam capable of striking across a battlefield. The intensity of these attacks depends on her available electrical reserves. Once depleted, she must absorb additional electricity before using these offensive abilities again.
- Environmental Adaptation: Slimes require no conventional respiration and can survive underwater or in the vacuum of space. Their visual structures function both underwater and above the surface, allowing normal vision in either environment under suitable visibility conditions.
- Thermal and Chemical Resistance: Their substance begins freezing at approximately -140°C and boiling at approximately +300°C. They also possess considerable resistance to conventional poisons and corrosive substances.
- Destruction of Body Matter: Slimes are not immortal. Their regeneration requires surviving viable biological matter, and complete destruction of that matter is fatal. The less viable material remains, the longer reconstruction takes.
- Mass Loss: Explosions and destructive attacks can scatter or destroy significant portions of their bodies. But she can repair that's if that's not mortal
- Hermetic Containment: Slimes cannot pass through perfectly sealed barriers. Airtight chambers and liquid-proof containers can effectively imprison them when no exploitable opening exists.
- Limited Physical Manipulation: In a completely liquid state, Slimes struggle to lift heavy objects or perform tasks requiring mechanical strength and precision. They must assume a sufficiently cohesive humanoid form for such activities.
- Electrical Infrastructure Disruption: Areyer's electrical appetite can pose a serious threat to surrounding infrastructure. When absorbing large quantities of electricity, particularly from a facility's main power network, she may drain its available supply faster than the system can replenish it. This can cause voltage drops, short circuits, equipment malfunctions, emergency shutdowns or a complete blackout across the installation. These consequences affect the electrical infrastructure rather than Areyer herself. To avoid such incidents, she primarily uses a dedicated generator designed to supply her with electricity without disrupting the laboratory's power systems.
- Extreme Temperatures: Temperatures below -140°C can freeze their substance and restrict movement, while temperatures exceeding +300°C can destabilise and destroy their biological matter. Sufficiently cold cryogenic substances are particularly dangerous.
- Force Nullification: Force-suppressing devices affect Force-sensitive Slimes normally, disabling their Force-related abilities. Their liquid physiology, natural regeneration, electrical metabolism and plasma projection remain unaffected, as these are biological characteristics rather than Force powers.
CULTURE
- Diet: Liquidivore and opportunistic omnivore. Slimes can consume ordinary food, water and various liquids, including certain contaminated or toxic substances. They also absorb electricity as a supplementary metabolic energy source, using it to maintain their biological activity and replenish the reserves required for their electrical abilities.
- Communication: Speech and gestures. Areyer can reproduce functional vocal cords using her substance, allowing her to retain her original voice.
- Technology Level: Dependent on education and environment. Areyer possesses relatively advanced technological knowledge through her association with two scientists and her familiarity with laboratory equipment.
- Religion/Beliefs: Areyer follows no particular religion but acknowledges the existence of the Force and places considerable importance on her creators.
- General Behavior: A Slime's personality depends on the individual. Areyer retains the sociable and expressive behaviour of her former human life. She interacts naturally with others and remains deeply loyal to her creators, becoming openly hostile toward anyone threatening their safety.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The first Slime was artificially created within the Shadow Laboratory on Taspir III, following several unsuccessful experiments conducted by Nyva Shei. The project involved developing an injectable biological gelatin capable of progressively liquefying a human body while preserving the subject's consciousness and identity. Nyva incorporated regenerative characteristics derived from the Firrerreo and electrical absorption mechanisms inspired by mynocks, producing an organism with exceptional survivability and a unique electrical metabolism.
Before her transformation, Areyer wished to escape physical pain and the fear of severe injuries, particularly those inflicted by lightsabers. Her new liquid constitution fulfilled this objective while granting her extensive regenerative abilities and the capacity to absorb, store and discharge electricity.
However, her electrical metabolism quickly created practical difficulties. Areyer's tendency to draw substantial amounts of power from the laboratory's electrical systems occasionally caused overloads, equipment failures and complete power outages. Her consumption could become particularly problematic when she attempted to replenish depleted reserves too quickly.
To resolve these issues, a dedicated generator was installed in her quarters. This equipment provides a controlled electrical supply, allowing her to replenish her energy reserves without risking the shutdown of the laboratory's power network.
Areyer generally maintains her former human appearance when interacting with laboratory personnel. She regularly spends time with her creators and ADA, with whom she enjoys discussing both important and trivial matters.
Over time, she naturally assumed the role of bodyguard and protector, taking her responsibilities particularly seriously whenever the safety of her creators was concerned.
When entrusted with defending the new laboratory on Formac, Areyer readily accepted the assignment and made its protection one of her primary duties.
