Though not heavily used by most light sided Jedi, sorcery had become an interest of late to the young Jedi. Her own hero—Master Jericho Hex—had long since mastered shaping of the elements, but the Lorrdian man was difficult to track down, and occasionally reluctant to teach. Joza couldn’t blame him, as the man was often less academic in his teaching and relied more on brute force in learning. He knew this, and cautioned her against learning from him—hence why the Zeltron began her own research. Besides, she had to learn some things on her own, right? Jericho was a competent teacher, but his methods were a little rougher than she was used to.
Dathomir wasn’t the most pleasant planet, but its darksided energy seemed to be almost more…tame than that of other words. Dromund Kaas for one, and she couldn’t help but shudder as she edged along the swamplands. Of course, she had been younger and inexperienced during her time on the stormy planet, and the zombie invasion didn’t help. But maybe, maybe she was less anxious because she’d become more familiar with darkness. She still respected and feared the power it had.
The Nightsisters were of interest to her, some of their history coming up in her research. Though they wielded the dark side of the Force, they allegedly were able to maintain balance and not let it consume them. This was of great interest to the Zeltron, and she was curious to understand how they went about this. As much as she tried to stay on the side of the light, a few tendrils of darkness would creep into her mind from time to time. She ruminated on embracing it and learning from it, but was afraid that she’d open some sort of floodgate.
Glancing down at the datapad in her hand, she scrolled to the name that had caught her eye earlier. [member="Isley Verd"]. There were a handful of names associated with sorcery she’d seen and forgotten, but this one stuck out to her for a different reason entirely. In addition to sorcery, the Jedi was currently trying to track down the man that fathered her. Isley’s name had popped up there as well, much to her surprise.
