POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Aquilan Oasis:
The Oasis that the Manor was built on serves as a lifeline to the family and staff that reside there at any given moment. A natural cool-spot on the world due to the canyon that surrounds it offering shade from the normally deadly sun for much of the day allowing moisture to settle. The Oasis, largely underground consists of several caverns as well as an underground lake that can be visited through escape tunnels in any of the wings.
  • The Library:
Most libraries come with knowledge from all around the Verse, the Library at house Aquila was the pride and joy of Marius Aquila, their family founder and patriarch. He collected rare books from across his travels and dealings. His favor for especially rare documents was so well known many would appease him with strange and foreign literature. While the Manor sports many shelves stacked with books as features, the dedicated library houses the rarest and favorite of the current house founder as a private collection worth millions of credits.
  • Aquila Family Vault:
A beautiful three story Botanical Garden greenhouse presenting a tropical paradise that is, in truth more like a museum than a nature preserve. Exhibits and artifacts can be found peppering the walkways from museums the family has bought around the outer rim. An ode to history, art, culture and more. The Family vault that comprises the entire West Wing is a place of peace and serenity that members of the Aquila Family seldom let outsiders partake in.
  • Guard Emplacements:
Surrounding the complex are also three small guard outposts, structurally similar and of similar white ceramic architecture atop each of the canyons nearby pillars which surround the complex, each have defensive point gun emplacements and can be seen from afar.

SECURITY
High: The Aquilan house guard are chosen from some of the most promising and trusted members of the Avery Private Military Group, as well as several commanders to lead and maintain their training regimen. Though the Avery aren't trained commandos by any means, the capable soldiers usually number between sixty and ninety men and women the force is tasked with the protection of the Aquila Family and its assets and employ a multiple tiered defensive position in doing so called the three rings system.

  • Outer Ring:The outer ring of the complexes defense include its capabilities to ward off attack from the outside. The complex has three guard emplacements which can station up to ten men and woman, each of these emplacements are stationed atop the three nearby canyon structures that surround the Manor. The emplacements' guards are given body armour and are armed with long range blaster rifles as well as three twin-linked light blaster cannon batteries with Phrik-B ballistic plating capable of handling speeders, light ships and small freighters with extreme prejudice. Additionally the house keeps three light interceptor craft fueled and ready in case of a larger ground assault of the complex.
  • Middle Ring: The Middle ring defenses comprise the bulk of the complexes outward defenses, the core of the approximately fifty man security team equipped with body armour and rapid fire weapons and the means to set up heavy rotating heavy blasters. The complex also comes bearing five additional twin linked point defense light blaster cannons with Phrik-B ballistic shield plating spread evenly around the complexes radius. Finally, reinforced garden walls that maze through the Manors outdoor grounds offer moderate cover, protection and ability to defending forces, allowing them set up their rotating blaster rifles not unlike a trench.
  • Inner Ring: Finally the inner ring consists of the complexes inner defenses should the Manor be breached by an outside force. The Central wing of the complex is plated with Phrik-B as well as dual shielded with an above average emergency shield generator, forcing attack through the main entrances which can be held as bottlenecks due to the multi tiered open floor area and its indoor balconies. Deeper into the structure are several hidden ways that lead to the oasis that connect the entire complex, including the security towers. Blast doors at key entrances allow the family to attempt to seal them off if need be with some modicum of resistance and finally each wing, should they be needed are fitted with an emergency panic room large enough to house about twenty five people comfortably for a week.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Manor was originally erected in 415ABY by Marius Aquila, a man who would begin his rise to notoriety by striking deals with the local Hutt Cartels, becoming a gangster he would be little more than an extortion artist on Ryloth, creating a moisture farm empire as he would sabotage the moisture farming operations of other nearby settlements forcing them to purchase their livelihoods from himself at cost, all while paying tithes to the Hutts which in exchange afforded him protection and permissions to undertake his racketeering. As Marius' empire would expand, his riches would grow which further influenced his expansion. Within 5 years Marius Aquila joined the planetary elite as a major rainmaker of the Hutt Cartels, making more in profit margins with the sale of H2O than many spice runners and Black Market dealers could hope to in a lifetime.

The Mano was built in order to provide refuge for his family, aspects of it reminiscent of a fortress with high ground tactics that he had witnessed from the likes of Tuskan Raiders as well as other bounty hunter groups. Eventually, Marius Aquila died, passing on the family business to his only daughter, who expanded on the manor, known for lavish parties and balls which would attract many higher ups from the local Cartels as the business boomed. Each successor in turn added onto the Manor, leaving an imprint of their legacy as well as how they spent their vast riches, what was once a guarded mansion became a complex with multiple buildings on the grounds each which provided a valuable service to the Aquila family or their servants.

After about two hundred and fifty years, the building is a vast font of art, culture, inspirational architectural design and lavish comfort. Safely protected with tried and true methods that have saught to repel all but the most vicious of attacks from the outside world and the natural threats of the Ryloth ecosystem. A fitting place for anyone to call home.
